Panic-stricken

It only lasted as long as it should. Long enough to allow me to reach his hand to grab my punch. It was the only thing that I could think of that would stun him enough and it did. His hand lowered immediately and I broke away before he could deepen it, sliding my cup out of his hand and downing its content at once.

Once I'd drank it, I felt free and so light. Like I'd been carrying a large boulder and it had been lifted off. Giggles escaped past my lips before I could catch myself and my legs felt all wobbly.

When I tried to walk, the ground spiralled around me and I felt like I was spinning fast. This prompted more derailed laughter from me as my legs gave out.

He caught me at that moment and I continued laughing as he led me back to a seat.

"You…" I poked his cheek, still laughing maniacally. "You...didn't...t-tell me there was some...thing in t-the d-drink."

He said nothing to me, corroborating my claim. I hiccuped and gasped then started laughing again.
