Kiss Max

“Why are you rushing to leave?” He asked my brother.

The others turned to look at us.

Their attention on us made me blush.

“Sorry, we have school tomorrow,” my brother said. “Maybe, next time, we can join you.”

“It won’t take much of your time. It's just a game.

Moreover, it's not even up to 10 O'clock.” He tried to convince us to stay.

“I’m sorry, but, baby boy needs to go to school tomorrow.” Brother gently ruffled my hair.

“Ah,” Max's brother turned to look at me. It was as if he were expecting me to ask Brother to stay. “It won't take much of your time. I bet baby boy will have enough time to sleep.”

Hmm.

I turned to face my brother.

“It is OK. I know tomorrow is school. However, I think we need to spend time with them. Since we came for a party.”

Not only do I want to stay here, but I don't want to make the senior unhappy by not convincing my brother to stay.

My brother looks reluctant.

I can tell he wants to leave.

But at the same time, he looked as if he wanted to stay.

“Are you sure about this baby boy?” He asked with an expression that seems to say he will do anything I wish for him to do.

This type of expression was the same that made me fall hard for my brother.

“Yeah, It won’t hurt if we stay,” I smiled brightly.

Brother sighed, “Well, Since he said he wants to stay. We will stay,” he took my hand and led me towards the place where they were sitting on the floor.

“That’s great,” Max’s brother looks happy as he motioned us to sit on the floor.

I sat in the space beside my brother and placed my head on his shoulders.

“What's wrong, baby boy?” Brother touched my hair.

“Nothing. I'm just waiting for them to start the game.”

“Max?” Max's brother called out.

“I'm coming!”

“Let me get the bottle,” One of the girls stood from the floor and went towards the kitchen.

She brought the bottle and sat down while she placed the bottle in the middle.

Max joined us immediately after the girl returned.

“I apologize for my lateness. There were things I needed to take care of.” He said before he sat next to his brother, who happened to be, opposite me.

“Hi.” He smiled at me, “I thought you left, already?”

“Nah.”

Brother placed his hand on my shoulder and brought me a bit closer to him.

“What are the terms of the game?” He turned to Max's brother, in question.

“Okay. So, here are the rules of the game.”

The rules of the game were just simple. It's the same as every other truth and dare game, with the defaulters either drinking from the cup of alcohol or sniffing dirty socks.

Yikes.

That one got me.

“So, let's start.” Max's brother spun the bottle.

******

Thirty minutes into the game, I was having the time of my life because the bottle hasn't stopped in front of me.

I watched the others as they were dared, while a few decided to take truth instead of dare.

The bottle stopped in front of my brother.

“It's my turn.” A girl in a black turtle-neck gown smiled at brother.

I frown at her.

Why will she want to ask him?

It's not as if there are no others to do the job.

However, I didn't voice my frustrations to her.

“Truth or dare?” She smirked.

“Truth.” Brother didn't waste any time answering.

He sounded sure.

“Oh.” The female sounded a bit disappointed before she brightened up. “So, do you have someone that you love?” She looked and sounded a bit hopeful.

“Yes.” Brother didn't mince words, and neither did he sound hesitating.

The people around booed at his words.

“Who's she?” The female had a missed expression.

It was as if she doesn't know the right expression to keep.

“That's two questions. It's supposed to be one.” Brother frowned at her.

“Oh,” She nervously joined her hands and turned to the others.

“So, tell me, is it Dinma?” Max's brother arched a brow at him.

“I already broke up with her. We have nothing in common, any more.” Brother balled his hands into fists as he tried to school in his expression.

“Let's forget about it.” The others nervously chuckled before they continued to spin the bottle.

Things went on normally until the bottle landed in front of me.

“Finally!”

The others sighed.

“I thought you won't ever have the opportunity to participate,” Max said with a smile.

Brother tightened his hold on my shoulders as he glared at poor Max.

I don't know why, but I have the hunch that my brother doesn't like Max, at all.

“I guess, it's my ill luck,” I shrugged.

“Yeah.” Max smiled, despite the dark glares from my brother.

“So, who will ask me?”

“I will do that.” Max's brother smiled brightly.

“Okay, shoot.” I sat still and waited for the game to start.

“Truth or dare?”

“Truth.”

I chose that because that was my brother's answer.

I wanted to do the same as him.

“Hmm.” He smirked, “do you lik—”

“Can I switch to dare?” I cut his words short before he can complete them.

“Is that even possible?” The girl who asked brother the question earlier, asked.

“Please.” I join both Palms together, “I want to take a dare. It's not that difficult to switch. Please, let's switch.”

“Hmm.” Max's brother glanced at my brother before he turned to me.

“Okay, if that's what you want.” He placed a hand under his jaws. “Are you sure you want to take a dare?”

“Positive.”

At least, a dare is better than answering the question he was about to ask.

I know he was yet to complete the question, but I can already tell what he was about to ask me.

It's not—

“Straddle Max, and kiss him,” Max's brother said with a straight face.

“What?” I blinked.

“Kiss Max.”
