Grog and I raced towards the entrance at the call from the head of the guards.

“Stay behind me, Palt, I will guide you, okay?” Grog held my hand in his.

I resisted the urge to roll my eyes at him. “I'm a man, Grog. You don't have to protect me. I can protect myself just fine.”

“No, you can't.” He tightly held my hand. “You are yet to get your powers, Palt. I will protect you.”

Before I could argue some more, he dragged me towards the others, making sure to tightly hold my hand in his, to prevent my hand from slipping off his grasp.

It was crazy the way he thought I won't be able to protect myself.

But what am I to do when Grog is determined to hold my hand until thy kingdom comes?

More than 50 guards were standing by the entrance the moment Grog and I appeared.

“You need to go to your stations.” The head guards said. “There is no need to raise an alarm. Only one of the men has managed to enter, and he has been caught.
