When I reached my room I saw that Enri was on guard outside.

I glared at him and he glared back, “Why are you here?” I asked.

“I am one of your guards, your majesty.” He replied.

God! He and his political answers!

“No, Why are you ‘really’ here?” I folded my arms and he sighed softly.

“Because you’re keeping the Demon King with you.” He really always needs to be asked twice just to get the answer out of him, “And you never know when it might get dangerous.”

“And?” I asked.

He answered immediately but, “I don’t want this country to burn- ” He stopped suddenly while he was nearing the end of his sentence and I had an idea why. So, I decided to complete his line for him.

“Because of me?” I raised my brows at him and passed him a smirk, “Enri, you may think of me as an imcompetent ruler but I wish the best for my kingdom.” I glared at him some more.

“You don’t realize how strong he is.” He replied, “And it wouldn’t take him a second to kill someone like you.”

“Oh? Someone like me?” I shook my head, “I think you’re forgetting I’m the king.”

“With all due respect, I meant your power level. You know, you lack magic and strength.”

“And that’s why you’re here? To protect me?” I scoffed, “Yeah right.”

I turned towards the door and entered my room while he whispered the words.

“I’m not taking any chances.”

I rolled my eyes and closed the door behind me.

I immediately took the cloak off and placed it on the chair while I looked around to see where Kaan was.

When I left, he was resting but now he was standing next to the bed looking at the black vase on the side table. He still didn’t have a shirt on but I’m sure Leroy is working on that.

At first I wasn’t worried much about it, then I froze next to the bed as I remembered what that flower could mean to a demon.

“Kaan!” He looked at me with furious eyes, eyes that were slightly red now, “That flower is not for you.” I raised my hands up, “Believe me.”

“Oh?” He began to stomp towards me, “That’s a very rare import from the demon kingdom.”

“I-I know.” He came and stood in front of me, “But it’s really not to harm anyone. It’s mine.”

“I can see that it’s yours. It’s in your room.” He seemed really angry and I knew why.

“I- I mean,” Oh My God! I’m stuttering, I hope this doesn’t get out of hand! “It’s f-for me!”

“That flower isn’t of any use to a human, it’s useless for a human unless they want to use it to kill a demon.” He grabbed my shoulders tightly, “Tell me, who do you plan to kill?”

“Kaan,” I looked up at him, “I use that flower, i-it’s not to kill anyone!”

“Don’t lie to me.” His grip increased more on my shoulders and I winced in pain, “Do you have another demon you’re keeping?!”

“I’m not!” I gulped, “I promise it’s not to hurt anyone!”

“Sorin Maximilian,” He hissed my name, “I will humiliate you the same way your people humiliated me-”

“Kaan!” I said his name out loud, “It’s for me, I eat the petals!”

He paused, “And what ‘benefit’ does that give you.” I knew he was mocking me. That flower is an unnamed rare breed that even all demons don’t know about. It grows in a very specific dark environment and is a one kill poison for the demon kind but it does absolutely nothing to humans.

“I-it-” My pupils began to shake, what do I tell him? If I tell him, it might expose me!

“What!!?” His voice made me jump

Oh Fuck it!

“It’s for my voice!” I yelled.

“What?” He paused.

“It helps change my voice.”

“Do you take me for a fool?”

I shook my head, “It really is like that.” I looked into his eyes to assure him I wasn’t lying, “I discovered its special features when I was a kid and I -” I looked down in humiliation, “I have a very shrill voice…” I blushed a little as I told him this and for some reason it was hurting my manly pride even though in reality I’m a girl, “The petal makes my voice raspier.”

I glanced up at Kaan and he was looking at me like I was some sort of a clown but his grip loosen a bit as his thoughts wandered somewhere.

I gulped, “Kaan?” I said softly, “I’m not lying to you. I want us to get along.”

He looked back at me and he frowned, “Your scent hasn’t changed at all.” It was as if he was coming to some sort of realization.

“What?” I was confused here.

“In fact it’s stronger.” He leaned in next to my neck and took a clean whiff. His warm breath next to my skin made me shiver but then all of a sudden he kissed my neck making me gasp. I was shocked and tried to move away but he held me in place and then bit my neck,making it bleed a little, then he licked my skin over the mark he had just made and Oh my God! He has a long tongue and the way it moved on my skin! It gave me goosebumps.

I clenched my fists in response and pursed my lips together to make sure no weird sounds left my lips.

The sensation was weird, it felt odd but it made my body tingle, “Kaan…”

He moved away and looked at me with even more doubt, “You taste-” He paused, “Odd.” He wasn’t sure what to say but there was doubt that was constantly building in his gaze, “What are you?”

I gulped, “I’m a person?” I had literally no idea what he was referring to.

“Don’t lie to me.” He growled and my skin stood up.

“I’m really not…” I don’t think I am, maybe a little but I’m sure he’s not asking that but whatever he meant by his question, he was not happy by my answer.

“Well then, you won’t mind this then.” He stood right in front of me and snapped his fingers. I was confused at what he was doing at first, then the next second my clothes were on fire. I panicked at the sight of the rising black flames. It didn’t hurt my skin but burned all of what I was wearing into thin air, leaving me stark naked in front of him.

…

What?

There was a moment of confusion, then realization, then humiliation and embarrassment.

I scream, “What the hell!!” I covered myself with one arm and automatically moved the other to slap Kaan and I slapped him pretty hard.

He was frozen still in place and didn’t avoid the smack that made him stumble to the side in shock.

It was right at the moment the door opened and Enri came running in after hearing me scream, “Your highness!” He only took a few steps in before he saw the situation where Kaan was sitting on the floor in shock and I stood there butt naked.

His mouth hung open and his eyes were as wide as they could go while he stared at my privates in disbelief. My body went red in embarrassment and I screamed once more as I covered my chest with both arms and crouched down as a ball on the floor.

“A woman…” Kaan and Enri let out the words at the same time, in the same dubious tone with the same look of bewilderment.

And while I thought I was done for, I heard the door close and a spell being cast in the room that led the whole room to go black and made people pass out in it.

A few seconds passed and all I could hear was footsteps, then a cloak was put on me and hands that came around my shoulders and picked me up.

“Leroy…” I look at the man who saved my sorry ass and covered me with my cloak.

I hugged him in relief and he patted my head, “Sorin,” He was looking at the two men he had knocked out with his magic in horror, “How did this happen?”

I bit my lower lip and felt like crying, “Are we doomed?” I asked as I clenched onto the cloak around me, “I don’t know how this happened!” I am in so much confusion right now.

Why did Kaan do this? He said he found something odd after tasting me, that pervert, but why do this!? This was completely unexpected and now my cover is blown!

On top of that Enri saw that too! He’s definitely not keeping his mouth shut!

I’m so done for!

I’ll be executed for lying to the kingdom!
