Next Stop Glenview Isles

Inside the main hall was like a huge movie theater with long rows of chairs going downwards. The hall was filled with aspiring demon hunters who were all talking to each other in excitement and there were still a good number of seats left for the remaining candidates outside. Kelvin and Carl sat on two empty seats at the back; the candidates in the hall had to wait for the candidates under verification before the briefing could commence.

A few minutes later, the hall was filled up and the briefing started. The lights in the hall dimmed down except for one, which was in the front of the hall. A platform emerged from the ground in front of the hall and revealed a huge but well fitted man in his mid 40s; the hall quieted down after that.

"Welcome candidates. My name is Lucius Benford; I am the Head Bishop of this hunting base and I'm here to give you all a quick introduction to the Demon Hunting Academy entrance exams."

The man's voice was clear and neatly projected throughout the hall. He cleared his throat and continued.

"Firstly, I'll give an introduction to the Demon Hunting Academy. The academy is a place where we train highly skilled demon hunters in the road to divinity, thereby giving them the ability to use divine powers. This academy was founded by the first demon hunters and for many years the academy has been known for its reputation in producing some of the best demon hunters in our history."

"Now you might be wondering this, why is the demon hunting academy so highly ranked? This is because the academy is currently the only place where demon hunters can learn how to use divine powers. Though one can still be a demon hunter without using divine power; but this will earn you a low rank in the organization and your combat ability will be limited."

Lucius went on to give a brief history of the first demon hunters and the demon hunting code of conduct.

"The first demon hunters built the academy during the dark ages so that they could train warriors on how to kill demons. The first demon hunters and the warriors they trained became a force and a line of defense to fight against Asmodeus, the god of demons during the dark ages. After a long battle they finally sealed Asmodeus thus putting an end to the dark ages; but it cost them their life. They died protecting the world."

"That is why the academy created three codes of conducts called the hunter's code. The first conduct states that all demon hunters must swear an oath to kill demons in order to protect the world. Secondly, divine powers are only meant to be used for hunting and killing demons and not for selfish usage and gain. Lastly, you must always be there for your comrades and allies during a time of danger."

The hall was super quiet; everyone was paying a keen attention to what the head bishop was saying. Kelvin couldn't help but feel strange about the entire thing; he was literally surrounded by demon hunters and also the entire demon hunting organization was mainly focused on hunting and eradicating all the demons in the world. Kelvin was quite scared because of the demon in him, so he asked Carl a question in a low tone,

"Hey Carl, are you sure George will be able to find the demon separating technique? I really don't want to be stuck with this demon forever."

"Don't worry about it bro, George is reliable and he's going to find a means to separate the demon in no time. You just have to hide in the academy until he finds it." Carl answered.

Lucius talked for a while and after some time, the briefing finally comes to a conclusion.

"Now without further ado, let me give you all the instructions on getting to the exam venue. You would all be taken to the exam venue using a special aircraft; the exam venue will be located right next to the academy on an island called Glenview isle. And you all would also be provided with a protection suit for the practical examination. That concludes the briefing; please proceed to the air dock and get ready to depart."

The exam candidates were directed to the air docks and they were also given their respective protection suit. The suit was not as impressive as Kelvin imagined; in fact it looked like a track suit. The suit had a dark blue color with white strips running down the shoulder to the wrist; apparently the suit was supposed to have a shock absorbing technology, but Kelvin highly doubted that due to its simple look.

The demon hunters directed the candidates to separate changing rooms for both the boys and the girls to change into their suits. After changing into the protective suit, the candidates entered the air docks to board the aircraft. The air dock was the last section of the underground hunting base and just like the main section, it was neatly designed. The air dock was large and was also parked with different variety of jets and other aircrafts.

"I wonder how the demon hunters were able to hide all this from the outside world; they could easily solve a lot of problems with this technology."

Kelvin said to Carl as he marveled at the design and structure of the entire air dock.

"Also, how are we supposed to fly out? We are like deep underground after all"

"I'm just as confused as you are." Carl replied back.

At the center of the air dock was a sci-fi looking jet which was large enough to carry all the exam candidates. Lucius was no longer there to address the candidates instead it was a tall demon hunter with blonde hair.

"This is the air craft that would be used to take you all to the exam venue. Due to security and confidentiality reasons, you won't be flying out directly; instead you would be using a portal created by our demon hunters with space and time manipulation divine powers."

"The portal will lead to an area close enough to the Glenview isle and you can go from there." The blonde haired demon hunter said.

After the explanation, the examinees started to board the jet; after every single candidate had boarded the sci-fi looking jet, the engine came on and slowly the jet started to move with increasing speed towards the portal opened by the demon hunters.
