Blood VS Stone (2)

Seeing the temple guardian charging towards him with its stone needles, Kelvin had no other option but to ready himself for the attack.

The temple guardian controlled all six of the stone needles, and fired them, aiming for Kelvin.

Kelvin saw the needles coming towards him, and was quick to react. He dodged and evaded each of the needles. After that, Kelvin looked up, and saw the stone bladed fist of the temple guardian, coming straight for his face.

Kelvin quickly used his blood claw blades, to shield his face. He looked up at the expressionless face of the temple guardian. Kelvin was about to counter attack, when he suddenly felt multiple piercing pains on his body.

Looking behind him, Kelvin saw that the six stone needles of the temple guardian were now passing through his stomach.

The temple guardian then grabbed Kelvin by the next, and lifted him without effort. In a quick motion, the temple guardian then slammed Kelvin hard on the ground.

Kelvin was in a lot of excruciating pain, but the pain didn’t stop there. The temple guardian grabbed Kelvin by the hair, and repeatedly slammed his head on the ground.

Kelvin felt like his head was going to split open in any second; plus the stone needles in his stomach was stopping him from healing the pierced wound and he was losing a lot of blood.

‘Is this how I’m going to die? I’m in a whole lot of pain, and I don’t want to die. I have to try and do something; anything at all.’ Kelvin thought, as he grabbed the demonic suppressing bracelet, and pulled it out.

Right after that, Kelvin could once again feel the presence of the blood arch demon within him. And as a result of that, Kelvin’s left eye began to change; morphing into an ominous form.

The white of his left eye turned jet black, while his iris was glowing in a blood red color, with red like veins spreading from it.

Kelvin instantly gave off a huge burst of demonic energy, which blasted the temple guardian a huge distance away. Kelvin stood up from the ground and his battered and bleeding face began to heal.

He pulled out all six of the stone needles and just like his face, his stomach also started to heal up.

Kelvin could feel the blood demon taking control, slowly devouring his soul.

‘This damn demon is trying to take over. I have to finish this fast and put the bracelet back on.’ Kelvin thought, as he ran towards the temple guardian with a new found speed and strength.

Kelvin reached the temple guardian in a flash, and delivered multiple sets of powerful blows which had even greater impact due to the blood claw blades.

The temple guardian tried to do a sneak attack with the stone needles, but Kelvin wasn’t going to fall for the same trick.

Kelvin quickly jumped to the side, evading the sneak attack entirely. He looked far behind, and seeing his blood needles, an idea came to mind.

He controlled the blood needles, and brought them to his side. The temple guardian was already recovering from his earlier attack, so without a second to waste, Kelvin controlled all his blood needles, and threw them forward with a tremendous amount of speed.

The temple guardian tried to block the attack of the blood needles, by using its own stone needles to create a sort of barricade; but that didn’t work, as Kelvin’s blood needles was both faster and stronger.

The blood needles easily passed through the stone needle barricade, and pierced through the temple guardian once again.

After the successful attack, Kelvin began the next phase of his plan. He quickly cancelled the hardening effect of the blood needles, and liquefied them back into normal blood. He focused greatly on the blood, which was now flowing down the temple guardian.

The temple guardian saw this as an opportunity to strike, and started running towards Kelvin.

Regardless of this, Kelvin still focused on the blood, and didn’t break his concentration. He closed his eyes, and imagined the effect he wanted on the blood.

The temple guardian was about to throw a deadly punch at Kelvin, but something strange started to happen. The blood on the body of the temple guardian began to boil and sizzle. After that, Kelvin’s eye shot open, and in that exact moment, a small but powerful explosion erupted from the blood spontaneously.

The explosion sent the temple guardian flying backwards like a ragdoll, while creating a huge hole on its chest.

The temple guardian slammed hard on the wall, creating a larger crater. But even after all the attack, the temple guardian was still alive.

So, to finally defeat the temple guardian, Kelvin grabbed one of the stone needles, and using all the strength he could muster, he threw the stone needle at the temple guardian, aiming for its head.

The stone needle moved with speed, and pierced through the head of the temple guardian, and pinned it on the wall. With that, the golden glow emitting from the eye of the temple guardian, slowly dimmed down, and finally the temple guardian was immobile.

Kelvin quickly went down on his knees, and started searching for the demon concealing bracelet. The evil cackling of the blood demon was ringing continuously in his ears, along with the painful screams of agony.

This had resulted in a really terrible nose bleed. Kelvin could feel the blood demon taking over, and as such, he needed to act fast.

He looked around the altar room, until he eventually found the bracelet under some fallen rocks

Kelvin quickly put it on, and just like before, the red glass like ruby glowed and the bracelet tightened around his hand. His eye gradually returned to normal, and the screams he was hearing instantly stopped.

Feeling super exhausted from the battle, Kelvin collapsed on the ground to take a rest. His body was currently in a whole lot of pain. He cancelled the hardening effect of his blood claw blades, and his knuckles began to heal.

All the adrenaline rush he felt earlier was gone and now he was feeling the aftermath of the fight.

‘Thank goodness that’s over; I’m never doing something risky like that ever again. I nearly lost my soul.’ Kelvin thought, as he raised his hands to look at the bracelet, and what he saw next sent shivers down his spine.

On the red ruby, was a crack; a single small crack.

‘Shit; why the hell did it have to crack.’ Kelvin thought, as he further inspected the ruby.

“The crack is small. I just hope this won’t turn out to be a serious problem.” After that statement, Kelvin began to hear strange noises around him.

He looked around, only to see multiple black cracks in the air around him. Kelvin was too engrossed in his earlier fight, that he didn’t take notice of this until now.

One of the black like cracks finally broke into pieces, and a black portal opened up. Kelvin was looking into the black portal, and was seriously hoping that it wasn’t another trial challenge.

Stepping out of the portal, were two men, dressed up in a deep crimson hooded cloak, which had the symbol of an eye on its center.

Under the hood the two men covered their faces with a plain white mask, which had the same eye symbol as their crimson cloak.

One of the mysterious hooded men, walked towards Kelvin, while the other walked towards the still unconscious Muna.

Kelvin responded by slowly backing away. He was still too weak for another fight.

The mysterious hooded man, who was walking towards Kelvin suddenly, raised his hand and at the same time, Kelvin surprisingly lost control of his body, and started floating towards the hooded man.

When Kelvin reached at an arms length of the hooded man, the mysterious man then lifted his hands, and placed it on Kelvin’s fore head.

Looking at Kelvin, with thick black eyes, the hooded man said these words:

“In the time of damnation and in the wake of darkness; you shall heed to the voice of Mophran, and answer to the call of the Eye Fraternity.”

Kelvin tilted his head a little, and saw the second hooded man doing the same thing to Muna, and also saying the exact same words.

After saying those words, Kelvin began to feel an immense pain on his head. The pain felt as though a burning engraving sensation was done on his brain, and he tried as possible to shake off the grasp of the hooded man.

Kelvin felt the blood demon going out of control, and gradually the divine construct mask, started to distort a little, revealing his real face and changing back to his fake one.

Seeing this, the mysterious hooded man was shocked, and instantly tried to retract his hands, but for some reason, he couldn’t. Kelvin’s body began to shake violently; he screamed in pain, as the burning sensation continued.

After shaking violently for a while, a huge wave of demonic energy, blasted throughout the entire altar room, and Kelvin fell down unconscious.
