The council hall was nothing short of massive and grand.

Its ceilings were impossibly high, with intricate carvings and gold leaf embellishments. The hall’s white walls were covered in murals depicting heroic scenes of the first five demon hunters. And the floor was made of polished marble, reflecting the pale gold light from the chandeliers above.

At the center of this hall, was a large circular table, which was made of dark, polished wood, with intricate carvings, inlaid with gold.

Currently seated in high-backed ornate chairs, with their backs to the walls of the hall, were eight council members. They sat around the large table, leaving an imposing and grand throne-like chair at the head of the table for the holy pope.

The council hall was silent. The atmosphere was heavy with expectation and anticipation. In fact, the silence was almost deafening, as each of the council members weighed their current thoughts.
