Nephew and Uncle

Master Syven put down his pen and looked at Draven. Even though he had not seen his nephew in 10 years, master Syven showed no expression of suprise or anxiety on his face upon seeing Draven.

"....Draven you're finally back"

"Yes uncle. My training is complete and I am ready to serve you." Draven replied.

Syven looked pleased after hearing that from Draven.

"Excellent. Take a sit and let's discuss a few things about your obligations."

Draven pulled a chair and sat opposite to master Syven.

"Before we begin our discussion let me update you on the current situation. As you know Jin remained in America to complete the El Cancelo assignment. He successfully completed his mission by crippling El Cancelo and left the entire cartel to ruins. However, in his final battle against Alonzo, El Cancelo's hitman, Jin sustained grave injuries which left both his arms paralyzed."

Draven was shocked after hearing that.

"Jin is paralyzed?" Draven asked.

"Unfortunately yes. Right now he's gone into hidding to try and at least recover in an unknown location." Syven explained "News of Jin's paralysis has already spread throughout the English underworld. Even ACSES knows about it. Because of Jin's role as the Ghost, Cyber became the top syndicate in England with him at the top of the assassin world."

"What's going to happen to Cyber now that Jin's out of commission?" Draven asked.

"I'm getting to that. Every criminal organisation, mafia, syndicate and cartels in England all operated under the English High Table, a council made up of the most powerful organisation leaders including myself who regulate the operations and business done in the underworld." Syven explained "As such, one of the rules concerning which organisation takes the number position in England is decided through a battle royal of assassins and hitmen from each organisation which is held every year. Jin always took first every year for the past 20 years and was undefeated."

"20 years? Jin's been number one for that long?" Draven asked.

"Yes, that's show just how extremely skilled and powerful Jin is. And now that role has fallen to you. So I Syven Coder leader of Cyber, name you The Ghost of Cyber from now on."

Draven remained silent for a few seconds trying to digest this massive responsibility placed on him. Draven was under the impression that he'd be Jin's assistant for at least 5 more years before he could succeed him. But that time had come fast.

"Jin believed in my abilities and trained me well to succeed him. And my time has come to really prove my worth to him and to you uncle. I will do everything I can to live up to the legacy of the Ghost. I will not fail you master Syven."

Syven smiled a little. For the first time in Draven's life he saw master Syven with an expression of emotions.

"Very well. The syndicate battle royal is in 11 months so you better be ready. Cause you'll be going up against the most deadliest assassins and hitmen in England." Syven explained.

Draven looked serious now:

"Don't worry uncle Cyber will remain on top"

"Let's end discussions here today. Now go and rest up, you,'ll need to be up early tomorrow"

"Do I have an assignment tomorrow?" Draven asked

"Yes. A side assignment actually. Starting from tomorrow you'll resume the assignment you left 10 years ago. You remember what it was don't you?" Syven asked

"..... Of course I do. I'll make sure Rina is protected and safe" Draven replied.

"You start school at Payton Prestige High School tomorrow. Rina is in her second year but you'll be placed in third year since you're one year older than her and Jin told me that's where your current education level is."

"Understood" Draven replied.

"I already had Albert prepare one of the big bedrooms for you. It should be the one next to Rina's room. You're dismissed now."

"Alright. Have a goodnight uncle." Draven responded as he got up.

Draven walked out of the office and headed to his bedroom. He arrived outside his bedroom door and opened it. Master Syven did not exaggerate, the room really was big. With a built in bathroom, large wardrobes already filled with expensive clothes and a large bed in it.

"Things sure are different from 10 years ago. Master Syven even showed some emotions. At least it won't be boring. Now to get some shut eyes."

The next day...

Draven woke up early to prepare for his first day at school. He took a shower and wore his uniform. The uniform was a dark blue blazer, white shirt, black tie and black trousers.

*Knock* *Knock* *Knock*

"Come in" Draven replied.

Maria walked in:

"Good morning young master. Hope you slept well. Breakfast is ready in the dining room."

"Thank you Maria but it's fine. I'll skip breakfast today" Draven spoke.

"As you wish young master. In that case lady Rina is already waiting for you"

Draven smirked:

"She's always been like that. Ever so early for school. Give me 2 minutes and I'll be right down."

"Very well" Maria replied as she walked out of Draven's room.

Draven opened one of his chest drawers and got a pistol. He then tucked it in his school blazer and walked out the room.

Draven come down the stairs to the ground floor and proceed outside.

"As usual you're last to finish getting ready. You never changed" said Rina.

Draven smirked and looked directly in Rina's eyes:

"You have not idea how much I've changed. Just watch me and you'll see how different I'm now."

Rina felt intimidated by Draven's words. Not sure what he really meant:

"Whatever let's just go. I don't wanna be late"

"Whatever you say princess" Draven replied.
