Chloe/Queen Bee x Juliet pt.2

(A/n)- Again, from a super long time ago. I recommend reading the first part before you continue. Thanks for reading!

"Chloe, can you promise me something?"

Juliet played with the sand between her hands, molding walls and digging motes for a castle. Chloe sat across from her, adding decorations to the finished half. They hummed as they played.

"I need some more water, Chloe." Juliet grabbed the now empty pale of water. Chloe took it from her hands.

Chloe gave her a thumbs up and ran to the fountain. Juliet rubbed her hands dry. A foot landed in front of her.

Juliet let out a gasp. Someone had stomped in the middle of their castle. The walls crumbled to the ground.

"Haha! Smash! Smash!"

A group of boys had come over and were destroying their work. Juliet could only sit there. She wanted to cry.

"P-please...don't..." she mumbled, scared they would hurt her. The boys laughed. This was a game to them.

"Hey!" a voice boomed from behind Juliet. Chloe, now carrying a heavy bucket of water, was glaring at the boys. "Go away, you meanies!"

The boys had finished with their stomping and were now focused on the blonde. They smirked. "Or else what?" one mocked.

Chloe growled. She looked down at her hands. She threw the water out on them.

"Or else that!" she tested. "Now, go away before I get another one!" The boys, no drenched in water, were mad. They stomped away in anger.

Chloe sat the pale down beside her friend. She caught her sad gaze. She frowned.

"Hey, it's ok! This just means we can build a bigger and better one!" She gathered the packed-down sand and began molding it again. She managed to build a semi-successful tower.

"Ta-da!"

She threw her arms up in victory. The tower then fell down again. Chloe's smile faltered.

"Ok, so it might need a bit of work..." Juliet let out a small giggle. Chloe smiled.

"Let's make the bestest sand castle the world has ever seen!"

Chloe dragged Juliet up the stairs. She giggled as she went. "Chloe, where are we going?!"

She ran into a room on the right. Clothes were sprawled out everywhere. A few had been placed in a pile.

"I thought we could play dress up! Daddy got me the new, limited edition Hawkmoth and Lady Peacock suits!" She bounced around as she pulled Juliet inside. The bluenette gasped.

"Really?! Wow!" Chloe went to the secluded pile and pulled out said uniforms. She tossed the blue one over to her friend.

"This one matches your hair. It'll look so pretty on you!" Chloe then pulled out a grey and purple one. There was a cane and a fan on the side of her bed.

"What do you say, Juliet?"

Juliet looked down at the suit in her hands. She smiled. "I say, let's transform!"

The girls laughed as they switched into their costumes. They got their magical items and set out for the hotel's lobby. They wanted to show Chloe's dad.

They passed by people in the hallways. The adults laughed at the cute sight. Ahead an old lady dropped her cane.

"Don't worry, ma'am! We'll save you!" Chloe ran with Juliet next to her to help the old lady. They handed her her cane and helped her to her door.

"My, what young and beautiful superheroes! I'm honored!" the sweet lady said. She smiled down at the two girls. "Thank you for helping me. You've saved the day."

The two girls giggles. "You're welcome, ma'am! Happy to help!" They then set off again for their intended destination.

They made it to the elevator and pressed the lobby's button. The two girls could barely hold in their excitement. The bell sounded, and the door was opened.

"Never fear! Hawkmoth and Lady Peacock are here!" Chloe and Juliet ran out of the elevator and ran around the lobby in search for Mayor Bourgeois. He was standing with a lady by the doors.

"Daddy! Daddy!" Chloe shouted. The tall man looked down. "Ah! Girls! Just in time!"

Chloe and Juliet looked at him perplexed. What were they just in time for? They then looked to the lady standing next to Chloe's dad.

"Mommy!" Juliet reached to give her mother a hug. She smiled.

Her mother looked at her costume. Then she looked at Chloe's. Her heart grew warm.

"It's time to go home, sweetie. Go get dressed and meet me back down here in ten minutes." She let go of her daughter. Juliet frowned.

"But I don't wanna go! I wanna stay with Chloe!" She crossed her arms and looked at the ground. "I'm sorry, Juliet. But we need to go. It's almost dark."

Juliet pouted some more. Chloe placed a hand on her shoulder. "It's ok, Juliet. We can play again tomorrow. Besides, you can bring over some of your toys next time!"

Juliet smiled and nodded her head. She ran to the elevator and went upstairs. Chloe stayed with the adults.

"Thank you, Chloe. You really are like a superhero," Juliet's mother commented. The blonde blushed from the compliment. There was a noise coming from the counter.

Mayor Bourgeois jolted. "It looks like I have something to investigate. I'll be right back." He left, leaving Chloe and the older woman together.

It was silent for a moment. Chloe fiddled with her suit's fabric. "Chloe, can you promise me something?"

The little girl looked up. Juliet's mom had kneeled down to her level. She had a frown on her face and dark circles under her eyes which Chloe hadn't noticed before.

"O-of course. What is it?"

The blue haired lady looked Chloe directly in the eyes. She drew a deep breath. "Will you promise me that you will always look after Juliet- even when I'm not able to?"

Chloe was taken aback. Why was she asking such a thing? Was something wrong?

"I-I promise. But, can I ask why?" She frowned at the woman's response. It seemed that her face had aged ten years in a matter of five seconds.

"I'm sick. I'm very, very sick. And soon I won't be able to look after Juliet. That's why I need you to look after her. You care about her. And she cares about you." She stood to her full height. "Do you think you can do that for me, Chloe?"

"Yes, I promise."

Juliet walked down the hall, her head hung low. Dry stains littered her cheeks. Her eyes were red and puffy.

The bell rang for class to begin. She didn't care if she was late. Her legs couldn't carry her any faster if she did.

A pair of arms caught her. "Gotcha!" It was Chloe.

"..."

Juliet paused in her steps. The hallway felt cold and dark. And Chloe felt like the sun on a snowy day.

"Please...leave me alone, Chloe..." Juliet tried to shift out of the embrace. Chloe furrowed her brows before retreating her arms to her sides.

"W-what's wrong, Juliet?" She placed a hand on her shoulder. "Did someone hurt you? Was it (Random guy's name)? I'll-"

"Just stop, Chloe."

The blonde stopped mid sentence. She was worried. What was wrong?

"I just...need some space...please..." Juliet explained. She didn't meet Chloe's hurt gaze. Her friend sighed.

"Ok...I understand. Just know that I'm here for you whenever you need me." She gave her friend a reassuring smile and skipped off to class. Juliet stood there a moment longer.

"...I miss you, Mommy..."

She trudged her way to class, trying to put aside the pain she was feeling. Her steps echoed through the empty hall. She entered the room, head hung low and dry stains littering her face.

"Chloe, I need to tell you something," Juliet said as she slipped next to her at lunch. Her voice was barely audible, but Chloe still heard it The blonde put everything aside, ready for whatever her friend had to say.

It had been weeks since Juliet had spoken to her- to anyone. She had found out her mom had passed away from cancer, and her butler, Jean, had told her it would take time for her heart to heal. She just didn't know it would take this long.

"I'm leaving Paris."

Chloe blanked. Her eyes stared into the table, her body refusing to move. Leaving?

"W-what...?" Now it was her voice that was hardly louder than a squeak. Her hands clutched the table's edges.

She couldn't be leaving. She couldn't. She just now started talking to her again!

And she was leaving?!

"I'm going to Norway for my modeling... Adrien's dad says it'll be good for me to get away from the city. I have some relatives there that want to catch up. I just thought you'd want to know..." She looked over at her friend, the only friend she had ever had. It hurt her as much as it hurt Chloe, and possibly a little more.

"W-when will you leaving...?" Chloe asked, her voice shaking with every word. She almost didn't want to know. She knew she'd hate the answer.

"Tomorrow," Juliet replied. Both girls tried to hold back their tears. Chloe sniffed.

She reached her arms out and enveloped Juliet in a tight embrace. She wasn't going to let go. Not now- when she was so close.

They stayed like that for the rest of lunch. They didn't care about the others staring at them. They only cared about them, in that moment, in that hug.

"I'm going to miss you, Juliet..."

"Chloe, stop! Please!" Juliet cried. Chloe, now transformed as Queen Bee, laughed. "No, Juliet! I'm done keeping secrets from everyone! I'm done hiding my feelings! You left me when I needed you the most!"

"My mom left for good the day you left! I was a wreck! All those days, all those nights, being alone with no one to talk to... It's torture!" She landed in front of the Agreste mansion. The building lay in front of them, almost threateningly.

Juliet didn't understand. What could possibly be inside the mansion? What could Chloe possibly know about them that she didn't?

"But I know how to fix that. And we're starting with Hawkmoth."

(A/n)- I honestly don't know what I was going for in the first one so it's kinda all over the place. I'm sorry for the half-baked plot. I hope it was still enjoyable! Thanks for reading! Bye for now!
