Family Dinner

I'm so nervous, what if y/n's family doesn't like me?

And what if I don't like them?

What if they think I'm not good enough for her?

I think that.

What if they try to make us break up?

We just got together!

I can't leave her.

Being with y/n has been the best time of my life.

I've always wanted to love someone the way I do her.

Thinking I loved Ladybug like that was totally wrong on my part.

I thought she would eventually fall for me, but now I know we were just meant to be friends.

It wouldn't have worked out anyway, she would never reveal herself.

And I'm not going to force anything.

I check the time, as I've been doing all evening.

5:35.

I quickly get a fresh pair of clothes and take a shower.

When I get out, ten minutes have gone bye.

I should get going, y/n said 6ish.

Wouldn't want to be late.

I give Plagg some cheese, and tell him to hide in my shirt pocket.

Once we're ready, I go downstairs.

Felix is there, reading some magazine.

"Where you going?" He asks.

"To get dinner. I want something different." It's not entirely a lie.

"What?"

"Not sure yet." Also, not a lie.

I have no idea what we're eating.

"Have fun then."

"I'll try."

I doubt this'll be much fun, but here goes.

Before I transform, I go into a flower shop and get a single red flower.

I've never brought y/n a flower before, I think she prefers candies.

But maybe this'll help win over her parents?

I make my way to her house, almost jumping to the balcony, just out of habit, before remembering the front door is probably a better option this time.

I knock, the moment of truth.

==============================

You hear the knock, and immediately bite your lip in worry.

"I'll get it!" You announce, and quickly walk over.

You open it to find Cat Noir standing there awkwardly, holding a flower.

"Hey Ki-at." You quickly catch yourself.

"Hi, y/n. Um, this is for you!" He smiles awkwardly and hands you the flower.

"Oh, uh, thanks!" You take it and smile.

"No purroblem!" He says and winks, obviously trying to make you relax a bit.

It works, for a second.

"So. You're the one who wants to date my daughter." Your father says, walking up.

"Uh, yes sir." Cat answers.

"Come in, please." Your mother comes in, seemingly trying to lighten the mood.

"Ok, thank you, ma'am."

"Of course, such good manners you have!"

"Thank you again, ma'am."

She starts toward the door, husband following.

"Let's get this over with." You whisper to Cat.

"Just hope it goes smoothly." He whispers back.

You walk into the dining room together, put the flower in a cup with water, and go to the table where your little sibling is waiting.

"Wow! It's really Cat Noir!" She/he exclaims.

He chuckles and says, "Yep! And who are you?"

"I'm s/n!"

"Nice to meet you, s/n."

S/n giggles, and your mom comes in holding a dish.

"I hope you like ratatouille." She tells Cat.

"Oh yes!"

She sets it down on the table, in between the already placed plates and silverware.

"Go ahead, sit down."

You do as she says, with Cat next to you, across from your parents.

After saying the blessing everyone starts spooning out a serving.

After taking a bite Cat says "Wow, Mrs. L/n! This is delicious!"

"Thank you." She replies, smiling.

You notice your father seem to frown slightly.

You think and furrow your eyebrows.

"So, Cat Noir. We don't know anything about you. How old are you, for starters." Your dad asks.

"I'm 16, sir."

"That's pretty young to be a superhero. But, a good age for y/n."

"Yeah, I know I'm young, but I hope I do well."

"You do!! I've seen you on TV and for real!" S/n jumps in.

Cat smiles and thanks her/him.

"And what do you do for fun, Cat?" Your mother asks.

"Well, I like to fence, play basketball, video games, and I play piano."

"You have lots of hobbies." She remarks.

"Yeah, my dad wants me to have lots of extra credit stuff, but I like doing most of it."

"And how are you doing in school?" Your dad asks.

"Pretty good, I usually get all A's."

"Good. Do you like school?"

"Yes, actually. Well, most of the time. Some classmates aren't the best, but I try to be nice anyway."

"Uh-huh. And how long have you known y/n?"

"Gosh, how long it been?" Cat wonders aloud, looking to you.
