When you wake up on Friday morning, you relish in the fact that you'll be able to go back to your normal sleeping schedule soon.
You drag yourself out of bed and get ready, deciding to wear the Cat Noir shirt you'd gotten with bff/n.
After eating you go outside to find Cat Noir standing there.
"Hey Angel!" He says, quickly coming over.
"Uh, hi. What are you doing here?" You ask in confusion.
"Well, I thought I'd take you to school!"
"Why?"
"Because you're not the only angelic one around here!" He says, then swiftly picks you up, making you laugh.
"But what if you end up late?" You worry.
"I'll get there the same time as you, silly."
"No, I mean, what if people swarm you and and you can't hide to detransform?"
"Don't you worry, Angel. It's fine." He says, trying to reassure you.
"If you say so."
"I do. And I meowst say, you are looking pawsitively purrfect this morning, as always!"
"Are you buttering me up for something?" You ask in suspicion, but blush nonetheless.
"No? I just don't want Lila forgetting what we taught her!"
"Ah, the Protective Boyfriend Mode strikes again."
"If that's what you call me not wanting you to not be bothered by her, then yes."
You laugh, and lean up to kiss him on the cheek.
"Careful now, no distracting the driver." He teases.
By now you've reached the school, and he lands carefully and sets you on your feet.
"I shall see you later, my darling." He says, giving you a quick kiss.
"See you later, my silly kitty."
He makes a funny face, then jumps to the roof, where you assume he'll find a way to double back.
"Wow, y/n. Really rubbing it in Lila's face!" Marinette says, arriving in time to see Cat leave.
"It wasn't my intention. He just decided to give me a lift." You say with a shrug.
"That was nice."
"He normally is. Though I doubt Lila would say the same."
"Yeah, probably not. And I noticed you said "normally". Is he sometimes not nice? Like controlling or anything?"
"Cat?! No! He's a total cinnamon roll! I just said that because he sometimes goes into what I've been calling Protective Boyfriend Mode. Then it seems like his only thought is for making sure I'm alright."
"Oh. Ok." Marinette says, and you think you detect some sadness, but before you can really think about it, she walks toward the door, seeing Alya.
You wonder if she'd said that, thinking she may have dodged a bullet, but in reality she'd just missed out on something good.
Shaking your head, you walk to the building and go to the lockers, where you're greeted with a very familiar face.
"How did you get here so fast?!" You ask in shock.
"I have my ways." Adrien says, looking sly.
You just laugh and look at him in confusion.
Marinette and Alya soon come in, saying hello.
Both you and Adrien return the greeting, and Alya looks at your shirt.
"Nice! Where did you get it? And did they have any Ladybug ones?" She asks.
You tell her where, before answering that you didn't pay attention after spotting the Cat Noir ones.
"Ohh, I get it." Alya says, wiggling her eyebrows.
You laugh, and Marinette asks, "Was that a pun? About not spotting a Ladybug shirt?"
"Maayybe."
She rolls her eyes in what you assume is a playful way, before muttering something under her breath.
As you go back to gather your things, you see Adrien looking at you in amusement.
You smirk at him before grabbing a notebook, different from the one holding clues, and you notice Marinette look at it.
You wonder if she'd looked through the other.
Thinking about confronting her, you decide to ask Adrien, in case she didn't, and asking somehow ended up revealing him, or that you know she's Ladybug.
Which that whole conversation about puns further confirmed.
The bell rings, so you grab anything else you'll need and head on to the first class of the day.
"So have you started writing your report thing?" Adrien asks.
"Yeah, since I don't know when it's due. I did a little last night, before I had to go to bed " You respond with an eye roll.
He laughs, and you continue to the classroom, then sit at the desk.
You sit through all the classes until its finally time for lunch, and you happily eat.
A few people come up and ask Alya questions about her party, which reminds you to ask something.
"You never did tell me if there would be food."
"Yes, y/n. There will be snacks." Alya says, laughing.
"At least there's that." You say.
"Is that the only reason you're going?" Adrien asks, laughing.
"Ehh, maybe."
They laugh, and you finish eating, then just make small talk until the bell rings.
When you go to the class, Lila is already in her temporary seat, smirking about something.
You roll your eyes, assuming she's found some other student to torture.
Finally, after what feels like a month, your final day of public school has ended.
On your way out, Miss Bustier catches you to remind you of the report, and says she'd like it by Monday.
"Is it ok if I send it with another student, instead of me coming in?"
"I think that would depend on the student."
"Probably Adrien, if he wouldn't mind."
"Then yes, I suppose it would be alright. I will email you with your grade."
"Ok. Thank you."
She nods, and you walk out the door.
"Freedom!" You say, throwing your arms out.
"What was that about?" Adrien asks with an amused look, once you make your way to where he and the rest of the usual group are standing.
"I'm just glad to be done with this public school business. I'm gonna sleep in late Monday, just for spite!"
