Battle Wounds

"Y/N!!" You hear, but it sounds like it's coming from far away.

As you stare at the knife that has plunged into your stomach, you feel the vague sensation of falling.

You barely register the fact that you don't smack into the ground, but are caught by something softer.

"What have you done?!"

"Nothing?" You reply meekly to the shouted question.

"Not you, Angel, I'm sorry, I meant Lila!"

"I-I didn't, it wasn't-"

"I don't care! Plagg, claws out!"

You feel air whooshing past you, and then are laid gently to ground.

You try to sit up and watch as Cat goes to start his attack on Lila, but he quickly tells you to be still.

"And don't pull the knife out! It helps keep the blood in!"

"It's not doing a very good job." You remark as you look at your hand that is now painted red.

"Y/n, you've just been stabbed and now you're being sarcastic? Gosh, I love you!" He says before he turns a glare to Lila.

"Why did you call her 'Angel'? She isn't very angelic."

"Do you want to taunt me right now?" Cat responds darkly, holding his baton like a bat.

You've angled yourself to be able to see Lila's face drain of color, and watch her get in a battle stance.

"You are going to win this, so just save yourself the trouble and surrender!" Cat says, knocking her down.

"I can't!" She argues, getting back up.

"Why not?!"

He uses his staff to smack her and she falls down again.

"I promised I wouldn't fail!"

"Too bad!" Cat responds and kicks her when she tries to stand up.

She flies backward and lands with a thud into the fruit stand.

"Before I lose my status as a good person, I'm going to stop this now." Cat says and grabs his tail.

He loops it around one of the metal bars connecting the bottom half of the stand to the roof, and ties both ends to her wrists.

"Ladybug will come take care of you soon enough, I've gotta get y/n to a hospital!"

Lila struggles to get free, but can't.

"Her miraculous!" You call out, surprised at how much your voice croaks.

"I can't get it, the knife will disappear!"

"Just use Voyage and hurry so it won't be needed!!" Kaalki yells at him, she'd been standing guard over you and watching this whole time, making sure you didn't pass out.

"Right, duh!" Cat responds and grabs the butterfly brooch from Lila and runs back over to you.

The knife disappears, so now even more blood is pooling around you, and you pull your hand up to look at it.

"Stay with me y/n, just a little longer!" He pleads as he bends down to pick you up, but you're already feeling lightheaded and dizzy from the blood loss.

"Kaalki, Plagg, unify!"

"Now you're Black Beauty! Get it, like the movie?" You laugh at yourself as you start to close your eyes.

"Oh gosh, you're delirious now?! Is that a thing? Doesn't matter, Voyage!"

"Hold on y/n, just a little more, please don't leave me!" He begs, but you barely hear it, you just want to sleep.

"Heh, sounds like Tangled!" You say, feeling like you're floating as you're rushed into the swirling light.

You drift off with the last thing you hear being Cat shouting for a doctor, and continuing to ask you to stay.

Doctors quickly surround us, getting y/n onto a gurney and rushing her towards what I assume is an operating room.

"What happened?" One of the staff asks.

"She was stabbed!"

"What happened to the knife, what kind was it?"

"Uh, it was lost, and I have no idea, but it was long." We're walking and talking at the same time, or the nurse is walking, I'm practically running.

The most of them turn a corner and I'm stopped as I try to follow.

"Are you family?" Someone new asks.

"I'm her boyfriend! Nobody else is here, I need to be with her!"

"Don't worry, she's in good hands, you have to wait out here."

"I am not leaving her!" I say as fiercely as possible.

"Sir, it's hospital policy. It's for sanitation purposes."

I try to protest, but they just interrupt.

"Besides, she won't be conscious, so it's best for you to wait out here."

"Ugh, fine!" I could stand here all day arguing, but that wouldn't help anything.

They give me a few papers to fill out, so I'll do that, plus I have a call I need to make.

There's some sort of private waiting room I stay in, where I let Kaalki rest, also let Nooroo out of my pocket, and make my call to Ladybug, so she can go get Lila.

"Cat? Where are you? I'm gonna need some help! Lila was released, she lied her way out."

"Yeah, I'm not surprised, but you won't need any help finding her, she's tied to a fruit stand at the base of the Eiffel Tower."

"...What?"

"Y/n and I were down there and she suddenly came out of nowhere and stabbed y/n, so now I'm waiting at the hospital, about to lose my mind!"

"What the heck?! Are you two ok?! And did you get her miraculous?"

"Y/n is in surgery, but yeah, I got it, it's in my pocket."

"Be careful, that thing is dangerous!"

"Trust me Ladybug, nothing can be more dangerous than how I'm already feeling."

"Uhh, right. Well stay calm, and hold onto those miraculouses!"

"I will. Hey, are you busy?"

"I have to get the miracle box back to Master Fu, and take Lila in, why?"

"Well, y/n's parents need to be told what happened, but I don't know their number. So I was hoping you'd tell them? I know it's a lot to ask, and I'd do it myself, but I just can't leave!"

"I can try. What hospital are you at?"

"I have no idea, I used Kaalki to get here."

"Great. Find out where and text me."
