"What happened?!" Is the main question you and Adrien were asked every two seconds.
You were hardly more aware of the situation than everyone else, and Adrien wasn't saying much.
He said he was used to dodging personal questions, so it was easy for him.
The doctors that had been doing everything with you decided to take you in for testing.
"Can I-" Cat starts but is cut off by the same doctor who did his stitch work.
"Yes, you can stay in the room."
"What do I tell them? The results will probably come back clear!" You worry as he walks hand in hand with you to a testing room.
"A miraculous thing happened?" He suggests, holding up the hand with his ring.
"You want me to say you made the wish?"
"I guess we could, I doubt they know all the technicalities."
"But they'll probably be asking about the flower. Some of them have probably seen Tangled, so they could recognize it." You say, holding it up.
"Good point... We could say I already had it, and that's where I went?"
"They're not gonna believe you had a magical flower just laying around!" You giggle.
"I know, just going through the options!" He teases.
"In here." The doctor leading you says, gesturing to a door.
You both go in and Cat stands next to you and holds your hand while the doctors do blood work and so many other tests you lose track of what they all are.
By the time the results have come back your parents have been called and have rushed back to the hospital.
They talk about the results quietly with the doctors before they're allowed to come see you.
After many hugs and tears, they too ask what happened.
"They told us there was no way you'd be alright!" Your mother says tearfully.
"Cat saved me!" You say, grinning at him.
"Oh, thank you! But how?" She asks, turning to him.
"Um, I used the wish to make this flower!" He responds, holding it up.
"What wish?" You father asks.
"The one granted to anybody in possession of specific miraculouses, but I can't say which ones."
"Oh, that thing Hawkmoth was wanting?" Your mother interprets.
"Yeah."
"But what's the flower do?"
"Don't you remember?! It's like the one in Tangled!" You say.
"This is all really strange, but I don't care, I'm just glad you're alright!" Your mother says, giving you a hug.
"So what did my test results say?" You ask.
"They were all clear. The hospital does want to keep you here for observations though, everyone is baffled."
"I can see why, it is all pretty confusing." You laugh.
Soon the doctors get you settled into a room and ask if you need anything.
"A toothbrush, for starters. And a shower."
"Then it's a good thing I remembered to get some things from home yesterday!" Your mother says, pulling a tied grocery bag out of her purse and handing it to you.
Since the hospital workers see you don't need anything, they all leave, giving you the instructions to use the shower in the bathroom.
"Thanks! I wish I could've gotten showered and all before you guys got here, I probably have death breath!" You laugh.
"It's ok Honey, we wouldn't mind if you smelled like a skunk, we're just happy to see you alive and well!" Says your mother.
You smile, then go into the bathroom and check the bag to find your toothbrush in a travel case, toothpaste, hairbrush, and some underclothes.
A few minutes after y/n has went into the bathroom and shut the door, her parents decide to run out and get food from her favorite restaurant to surprise her when she's finished.
So they leave, and I take care of all the kwamis.
Plus I text Nino to ask if he'll tell the teachers I'm out sick, and explain a little.
I should've missed only a few classes so far.
I don't know what is up with this crazy voice, but I need it to go away, it's saying too many scary things.
Is it my brain?
Am I too much like my father?
Surely not.
I'm nothing like him!
Right?
"Um, guys?" Y/n's voice breaks into my thoughts.
"What is it, Angel?" I respond.
"Whoa, are my parents still out there?"
"No, silly. I wouldn't say that if they were." I laugh.
I love how she can always make me laugh.
"Oh, okay. Anyway, I need another gown thing. I don't wanna put the other back on."
"K, I'll go ask for one."
I leave the room and find the nurse's station, where they give me another hospital gown.
When I find my way back into the room, I feel my face heat up when I realize she has to open the door to get the gown.
"I'm back, I found you a gown fit for a queen! Which is purrfect."
She laughs and I hear the door handle click from being unlocked.
It starts to open, so I quickly shut my eyes and hold the gown out enough where she can reach it.
Apparently I couldn't tell where to hold it, because she grabs my arm.
"Little too far there, you can't have my suit." I say.
She laughs again, and trails her hand down my forearm until reaching the cuff around my wrist.
It's a simple touch, but it causes tingles to run down behind her hand.
My face feels even hotter now, as she finds the gown and pulls it into the room with her.
I keep my eyes shut until the door clicks again, and I can hear her moving around behind it.
Taking a deep breath, I go flop down across the bed, where I scratch at my arm.
It's times like these where I can't believe I ever thought I was truly in love with Ladybug.
She could never cause me to feel something like that, especially not by just touching my arm.
Yeah, I used to feel tingly sometimes, but it's just not the same.
Like how she also called me Kitty.
It would always surprise me, because she usually was against nicknames.
But with y/n, I've come to expect it, look forward to it, even.
I don't know how, but she always just says it differently than Ladybug, and it never fails to put me on cloud 9.
The sound of the door opening draws me out of my thoughts, so I raise my head up and see y/n stepping out of the bathroom.
My breath hitches at the sight of her, with her wet hair sticking to her face, and dripping down onto her long hospital gown, illuminated by the light coming out of the bathroom, so that she looks like she's glowing.
To someone else, it may not sound that special, but to me?
She looks ethereal.
"What's wrong, why are you staring? Do I look like a drowned rat?" She asks, looking herself over.
"No! No no no no!" I quickly say, getting up and walking over to her.
I use one hand to hold hers, and the other to stroke her cheek, while staring into her eyes, which I so often find myself getting lost in.
"You're gorgeous, and so angelic. As always."
I can feel her face getting warmer through my glove, making me grin.
"It's a good thing I'm not hooked up to the heart monitor right now." She says in a soft tone.
"Why's that?"
"Because half the staff would be in here."
I chuckle, then ask, "Since we're not in the morgue now, can we kiss?"
"Yes Kitty." She laughs, sending familiar shivers up my spine.
As I lean down to meet her lips, I move the hand at her face forward, letting it tangle up in her hair.
I squeeze the hand that I'm holding a little tighter, but not too much, since I'm transformed at the moment.
She runs her free hand up my back, then resting it on my shoulder.
Causing more shivers to race through me.
We pull apart after a few minutes, breathing heavily, foreheads resting together.
"You're all minty." I say.
"Better than death breath!" She responds.
We laugh, and simultaneously make the silent agreement to kiss again by moving together, even more intensely now.
The morgue may be below us, but as long as we're not in it, she definitely doesn't seem to mind.
I am so glad that flower worked, and we can continue to enjoy moments like these.
