Chapter 24: A Night to Remember

After exam week, or month apparently, everyone was getting ready for the big Halloween party happening tonight in the gymnasium, where we all get high on candy and scare the shit out of each other with costumes or horrible skeleton puns.

I can tolerate Halloween, but I don't take it as seriously as my friends do. A few days back Alya, Alix and I invited Rose, Juleka and Mylene over to our table since we had free spots, Halloween came into the conversation and soon everyone was making up a partner match up. It's where we all get into partners and we have to match. Some of us went with The Tales of Miraculous Ladybug, as in Chloe's little cult.

They all dressed up as heroes from the fairy tale, with Chloe as Ladybug, Sabrina as Chat Noir and the others dressed up as Rena Rouge and Queen B, And Turtle boy? I'm not sure I haven't heard that one yet. So to get her back we decided to be villains for the day. Rose and Juleka decided to be Peach and Daisy from Mario, Alya and Nino went with the classic Devil and Angel, but Alya was the devil and Nino was the angle, and I can see why.

Adrien and I went with the beloved Little red riding hood. Adrien had a fur coat, dark blue ish black button up and some pants, with a slight twist. We decided to add a little Ladybug and Chat Noir with Adrien having furry cat ears and I added spots on my cloak.

"Mari~ can you help me? I can't get the ears on properly!" He whines,

I groan before replying, "hang on I'm still changing!" I yell back.

"Ooh can I see?"

"No you pervert!"

I hear him huff before silence with a few clicks here and there, I clipped the cloak together and looked at my self. I had a white button up that was tucked in by a skirt that reached mid thigh. They're cuffs on the white blouse and it looks like the sleeves are longer than the shirt part of it.

Nathaniel painted a dripping like Ladybug mask, 4 black spots and one in the middle, I walk out to see Adrien still struggling. Faint giggles escape my mouth making him look over my way,

"Y'know I always had a crush on the famous Ladybug."

"So you have a crush on Chloe?" I smirk, all I see him is roll his eyes before attempting to put them on. Before he can I grabbed his wrist and took the two clip on ears, guiding him to the bed and making him sit.

I walk in front of him and start putting his ears on.

"Don't get any ideas, kitty." I mumble, after a few seconds of fiddling with them i take one step back, admiring my work.

My smile probably says it all, he gets up and embraces me in his arms. He dips his head down where the fabric covers my shoulder and neck,

"How long do we have to keep our little secret from the others.." he whispers, holding me tighter. I could feel my mood die down..making me feel just a tinge upset.

I lean in to him, it seems he understood my signal and let go of me looking at me with longing eyes. "We'll find a way, I'll find away. I haven't signed the contract yet so there's hope" he smiles.

My mood even dropped and I lowered my head, letting those what ifs linger in my head.

I felt my eyes water a little prickling my eyes like thorns on a Rose. My head was slowly lifted up, from the tips of his soft fingers, they trail to my cheek before cupping it, I lean into his touch.

"Don't cry..you know I hate it when you cry..." he says in a soft calming tone, with a tone that could put even the most hyperactive kids to sleep.

And I know he hates when I cry...

I look at him with a playful look, "Really I don't remember?"

"Yeah because I told you so, bugaboo" he rolls his eyes before kissing my nose, I feel my cheeks heat up, his smirk says it all before pulling me into a sweet kiss, without hesitation I kiss him back.

I pull away, a little breathless to say the least "C'mon, or else the others will think we're doing the frickle frackle" instead of letting go he just holds me tighter.

"Well if you want-"

"No"

"But-"

I cut him off, "No, now let's go and make a night to remember" I placed his mask on and I pulled over my hood and walk out.

"Princess?"

I hum in response,

"I love you"

I turn around, before giving him a gentle smile, "I-I love you too Alley cat"

But I never knew those words could change our future, for the better or for the worse.
