Dream

Corey stared at her for a while. "Kiss?" He asked and she answered with her eyes. "Come closer," he said and leaned down to her level. "Your breath stinks, I can't kiss an ugly mouth...yuck!" He turned away, giving her the chance to hit her fist on his back.

"My mouth is beautiful, you ass..." She remembered his value on respect. "Why are you so mean to me?" She asked when he turned around to look at her because she almost cursed him.

Corey stared at her for eternity thinking of how to attack her, to hurt her back but nowhere was suitable for him to hit so he grabbed his glass and stared at his watch. "Giving you five minutes to get to my car else I leave," he uttered and left her room without giving her the chance to protest or comment.

"Five minutes?!" She stared at her face and decided to clean the makeup off her face because she couldn't complete it. "Why is this man so...I don't even know what to call it!" She looked at her dress and then her hair. "No, no, he won't leave... calm down," she breathed in and out and then she combed her hair. She did everything necessary and ran to the front of her house, to see his car parked somewhere. She paced faster to his car and peeked in through the window to see him resting his head on the steering wheel. He was sleepy, she thought.

Claire went around the car and opened the door to the passenger seat and thankfully, it was opened. She climbed in and stared at him to see him staring her way. Carefully, she placed her palm on his face and stroked his face but he was quick to jerk her hand off. "Why?" She frowned. "You feel sleepy," she watched his expression.

"Don't touch me," he said.

"Are we fighting?" She asked.

Corey stared at her for a while, "no," he answered.

"Then," she tilted her head as she placed her hand on his hand that was on the steering wheel. "I'll drive while you take a nap," she offered.

"No."

"Why are you always against everything I say?" She glared at him.

"I don't need you to drive me," he said decisively but the next moment, Claire had her hand on the steering wheel, staring at him. She had told him to consider her driving the car as a punishment for her slapping him and disrespecting him so he agreed to her driving him to the mall.

At this moment, Corey felt a big pleasure in closing his eyes and forgetting it all, he just wanted to fall asleep and see darkness, breathe fresh air and perhaps dream of happiness and victory. With his head resting on the headboard after he buckled up, she leaned closer to him and smiled. Her eyes looked at him for a while as she loved how calm he looked when he closed his eyes.

"You seem to take things seriously," she said.

"Meaning?" With closed eyes and a dizzy body, he forcefully answered.

"If you couldn't finish reading the book yesterday, you could have just told me today that you couldn't finish it," she started the car.

"Okay," was his answer to her words. So she looked at him and bit her lower lip when she saw his bandaged hand, she placed her hand gently on his hand only to recall yesterday when he protected her with his hand.

"Thank you," she whispered when she looked at his face, and then she stopped the car so the gate would open. She leaned closer to him and pierce her fingers through his hair. She began to massage his head with her fingers and his face told her how much he liked it. "Urgh, stop being cute," she pushed her fingers out to straighten his hair.

After glancing at him and kissing him in her mind, she started the car again and drove off to the mall. The journey wasn't as long as forever to the mall, making the time for a nap a little short but he got some time to close his eyes and enjoy the feeling of letting go and loving sleep.

Claire parked the car well among other cars and immediately turned to the man sitting next to her, she stared at him for as long as she was satisfied and then, she touched his face. She raked her finger on his face until it was touching his lips. She now licked her lips and sighed. "His lips look so fresh," she muttered to herself and swallowed. "Donald," she called out softly with her fingers playing in his head. "Hey, Donald," she whispered in that sexy voice again and the more she called him in that tone, the more he saw visions of her acting as the Female Lead of the novel he read while he was also acting along. She was crying just as the Main Character was because she eventually told him she was pregnant for his friend and the ML who was Corey in his dream was finding it hard to react to her confession and in the book, the Main Lead was crying but Corey didn't cry.

Instead, he wondered why he was dreaming about her. "Donald," he heard softly as he reacted just as the ML to the FL. "Donald," he heard again and again until he was reminded that he was his brother to the world and had to present as his brother. He decided to let go of his dream and open his eyes.

Corey was lost for the first minute, staring at Claire who had her face so close to him. She had opened the door to the passenger seat and had her leg in so she could look at his face. Her hand had been tapping his cheek to jerk him out of his sleep but he had been groaning so she spent her time staring and calling his name until he opened his eyes.

"Why are you this close to me?" He asked as if he had been in a coma for three weeks and was just waking up. Claire smiled as she leaned back because he was pushing forward to rest fully well on his buttocks.
