CHAPTER FORTY-THREE

Achilles was still very angry about all what he just found out from the Donovans. Bella was never supposed to be a slave. Her mother escaped from the tyrant in her pack and fell into the hands of another tyrant in his pack.

If only Mr. Donovan had brought her to the castle to meet his parents who were ruling at that time, his parents would've given her a much better life and Bella would never have been their slave.

All he could think of at that time was how poorly they had treated her while she was with them. The first day he met Bella in the woods, she looked miserable and there were fingerprints on her jaw which meant she had gotten hit that night before she went into the woods.

Bella grew up in an abusive environment and it was taking a toll in every aspect of her life. She feared people too much. She hardly expressed herself to anyone even when she was hurt. She was weak and vulnerable and many other things he did not want to think about.
