 Hearing the screech of the tires I came running towards the entrance. My happiness knew no bounds, the moment the car entered. Kavya ran towards me the moment the car halted. She came near me and hugged me. 


“ I missed you, mama. Did you not miss me? You never came to visit me. Why? Am I so bad?” Her voice was hoarse and tears were glistening in her eyes. My heart ached to hear my little girl who is also my lifeline complain about such a trivial matter. I was now regretting all the antics I had done. 


“ Never think like that. You are my heartbeat.” I was kissing Kavya’s forehead when Arjun approached us. 


“ Come on princess, everyone is waiting for you.” Arjun took Kavya by her hand and went inside but not before winking at me. I felt embarrassed at his implication. He went in whistling.
