Chapter-21 Eva's secret Identity...

The party begins, and everyone arrived, the directors, the Chairman, and even the Dean of the hospital were eagerly waiting for someone. no one, other than the management team knows who is going to come there.

David asked Ben

"You said, you know who's coming? ", Ben answered calmly

" David, Is something wrong with you, I never said, I know who's coming, I said someone whom you would like to meet is coming ".

He escaped from there after giving that answer, David was furious Jerry came to him and said

"Sir, I am glad to see you here, I never thought you would come to a gathering like this, sir you changed a lot "

, Ben was enjoying how David was getting irritated. David asked Jerry

" Well, Jerry do you know who's coming today? "

, Jerry replied

" Not exactly sir, but I heard from my friend that someone bought the entire hospital and he is going to visit us today ", Jerry got a call and left earlier.

David thought

"Why .. no one in the hospital, know about this ?.. uhh it's better to be away from the management issues. I must blame Ben for being bored here"

He stared annoyingly at Ben, and Ben was laughing. He came near and said

"Oh ..come on David, it's not like we'll be here for the whole night, actually I was forced and I don't want to be alone here so I have no other option, ..you know"

David was annoyed.

Jenny and her friend came to talk to David but, he was not in the mood for this, so he asked for his leave and left silently. Ben followed him.

When they were about to leave, David saw an elderly man coming towards the community hall, He looked familiar, and David recognized him, he was, 'Anthony Fernandez, the famous professor of thoracic and cardiac surgeries.

He was like a mentor to him, and David follows his reference books. He was very happy to see him.

David met him once before in San Francisco, at a medical conference but it was a very brief meeting he wasn't able to introduce himself properly. Ben said,

"It was not a waste of time, isn't it?". David followed Mr. Anthony, and Ben followed him back.

Ben suddenly saw a man following Mr. Anthony, he remembered, it was the same man, that Eva met that day. Ben went to introduce himself to him. There was an announcement,

"Ladies and gentlemen today we are here to celebrate the presence of the new faces of our Hospital, And to tell you all some good news. Let me introduce Mr. Anthony Fernandez, the new Chief Director of our hospital "

everyone started clapping to welcome him.

David was more excited than anyone else. Ben went to Steve and introduced himself

" Hello I am Ben, I am the chief neurologist here, and you? "

he asked, Steve was about to introduce himself, Mr. Anthony called him, and he introduces him to his son, Steve Fernandez.

Ben started thinking,

" Why Eva was with him?..and how did Eva know Mr. Steve...?"

he was busy struggling with his thoughts, and David was finding a chance to meet Mr. Anthony.

After a lot of effort, he finally got the chance to meet him.

David introduced himself to his follower and expressed how much he was excited to meet them. Mr. Anthony said

"It was nice meeting you gentleman, I like young and talented people. I wish you a great future, here is my card you can come and meet me anytime."

It was like a trophy for him, which made him overwhelmed. Ben was in his world of mysteries, David came to him excitedly and said

"Ask whatever you want Ben, and I'll treat you ",

Ben said

" How could it be? You tell me...? ", He was about to ask David but was called by the director, so he went there, and couldn't ask him.

Ben went there and the director introduced him to Mr. Anthony, he greeted him and had a little conversation, it was now David's turn.

The director introduced him as well, Mr. Anthony said:

" ya I met him just now, he is a rare talent, I know him".

Then he started talking to the director and David and Ben step aside. They both had their dinner and drinks, David was so happy that he was unable to believe that he met his mentor and was given his card.

It was like a dream coming true for him. The party was over and everybody returned. Ben had some drinks, so David was helping him by giving him a ride.

Eva got a phone call and she jumped with excitement, it was Steve, he asked her to meet him at the gate. She dressed Nicely and was waiting for him in front of the gate. Ben and David were at the parking lot, Ben saw a girl standing near the gate and moving a small stone with her leg.

He was a little drunk but was able to recognize Eva. He said,

" That's Eva ...!! what is she doing here..?".

But before David turned back Eva saw them and hid behind a tree. David turned back and found nothing there and said

" Ben... are you that drunk that you are having hallucinations now ", Ben said

" but...I just saw her ..",

David said seriously,

" Ben shut up ..!!and sit in the car.. or you have to go for a walk".

Ben sat into the car and started murmuring, David was annoyed and asked,

"What now ...Ben ?",

Ben said,

"I am not that drunk to hallucinate her "

. David didn't respond, Ben kept murmuring for a while and then slept. When they arrived at Ben's house David woke him up and said

"Ben... go home and sleep".

Ben woke up and get out of the c and felt dizzy. While going he said,

"That day when you were drunk I took care of you, and now it's y o vid, get down".

David stared at him and said

" you said you are not that drunk, Ben ... good night " and left.

Ben has nothing to say and he kept staring at him, and then went up. Eva saw them leaving and came out. Steve saw her and called

" Hey Eva this way "

Eva ran to him and there was someone in the car. The man in the car got down, and Eva hugged him tightly, it was Mr. Anthony, her Dad. Steve was standing there and smiling. She asked him

"What brings you here Dad why didn't you tell me earlier".

Her Dad laughed and said,

" That's a surprise my darling, I want this cute smile on your face ". They sat in the car and chatted for a while Eva's dad asked

" so how is it going?",

she said

"oh come on dad what could you expect from me, I can't ever see someone bleeding, how could I operate on someone",

her dad said,

" but I heard you are already assisting someone in the surgeries,".

Eva gets caught,

" uhh that, I was just a second assistant, it's nothing serious, dad," she said casually.

Steve said

" from now on I will be visiting you more often"..she asked shockingly

"Wait...why??"

Her dad and Steve looked at each other and laughed her dad said

" I bought this place for you, my dear, you are now in your hospital",

Eva was surprised but sad as well, she said,

" you know I don't like it... why?",

Steve laughed,

"come on it was not because of you, we got a business proposal, and it looked good to me, so I suggested it,"

he said.

" even though why it has to be this place out of all..??, Don't tell anyone that I am your daughter," she said annoyingly,

" Why shouldn't I ?" her father asked shockingly,

"I don't like people to treat me differently, please dad keep it a secret,.... for me... please"

she requested him.

He thought for a second and said

"Ok but on one condition!!".

Now that condition was going to change Eva's life.....but good or bad needed to wait and see...
