Help?

An 8-foot dire wolf

Most of the villagers had heard stories of such strange creatures attacking and destroying villages and towns.

But they never imagined that one would appear right in front of their eyes.

How the bandits even managed to tame a beast of such might was beyond them.

It was like time had frozen for a while until a voice broke the silence.

Lord first was the first to say, "Men scatter."

He went on to say that as one of the few people who knew how to fight such beasts, he had to take command.

So he broke off from the fight with the bandit leader to control his men, but this

It seemed to be a losing battle.

Not only were they outnumbered, there was an 8-foot dire wolf on the enemy side.

"Martor kill them all," said the bandit leader.

The wolf lunged into the crowd. it started to swing its claws, ferociously killing enemy and friend alike.

Guards, bandits, women, children, it didn't matter to the wolf, it killed indiscriminately.

Everyone ran for their lives, even some of the bandit cultivators ran. They knew firsthand what the dire wolf could do. They knew and it scared them.

"Aim for its eyes!" shouted the lord first.

"Hahahahah, you will all die here!" the bandit leader screamed and lunged at Wang Ben.

He was injured, so killing Wang Ben alone was impossible. He planned to stall for time so he could kill him with the dire wolf.

Frank also grabbed a bow and arrow and started shooting at the dire wolf. Although he had no weapons training, he just instinctively knew how to fire an arrow. In fact, there were quite a few things Frank could do without any prior knowledge of

"Howellll" the wolf cried in pain. He was hit in his left eye.

He turned around to see where it came from, only to see a stunned Frank. Frank asked himself, "I got it in the eye?"

But he didn't have much time to think because the wolf started running toward Frank, so Frank turned his horse around and kicked the horse.

He had to get away. The infuriated dire wolf would kill him if he didn't run.

See this Wang Ben immediately gave chase from behind the direwolf, and the other cadets immediately followed behind.

Wang couldn't let Frank die. He had promised Frank's dad that he would take care of him.

The bandit leader looked stunned. They just abandoned him like that for that little boy.

He couldn't help but be curious as to what background the boy had for them to let him go. All in all, he was happy to get some breathing space. He wasn't going to abandon the dire wolf though, he just needed some rest.

Unknown to him, a group of heavily armed men were currently heading for the village. A lady clad in armor was leading them.

...…..

Meanwhile, Frank was currently running for his life; the wolf was too resilient.

Several arrows had been shot at it, but it still insisted on taking Frank down first. Frank didn't know whether to cry or laugh.

"Hang on, Frank, he will go down sooner or later," screamed cadet Wang Ben. In reality, he was nervous

"what was wrong with this wolf. It didn't seem tired at all." Wang ben thought

On the contrary, Frank's horse was slowing down. It was tired. The wolf would soon catch up to Frank.

"I have an idea, cadet Wang!" shouted Frank. He was screaming at the top of his voice.

"Catch me"

Frank didn't wait for the cadet's response.

He jumped off of the horse and onto the ground. The wolf was moving too fast, so it passed him before he could even realize he had jumped off

Wang Ben reached Frank and put him on a horse.

Wang Ben looked back at Knuckles and the giant-like cadet.

He nodded at them.

"Ha-ha monster wang like old times?" said knuckles

"I'm down. Let's kill us a dire wolf," said the giant-like cadet.

Wang Ben then made a gesture and the other two got into formation behind Wang Ben.

"Frank, stay behind us, It wants you, but it'll have to go through us first," said Wang Ben.

Frank didn't know what they were going to do, but he trusted Wang Ben, so he did as he was told.

The wolf had just recovered from its sprint.

There were arrows all over its body. It had lost an eye. The rage in its body had gone down. It had lost stamina.

But then it turned around and looked at Frank, and once more the rage of losing its eye overwhelmed it.

It also noticed the three cadets standing in front of Frank but didn't seem to care. Frank was its main target and they were just obstacles it had to remove.

"Howllll" it howled and continued its charge towards them.

"Brace yourselves," said Wang Ben.

They then proceeded to pull out poleaxes until they were ready.

"fire-bird formation level one: fire slash"

They echoed

The scene was dazzling. All three rode toward the dire wolf.

"booooooom," they collided,

But the dire wolf came out on top

The dire wolf slowly rose up

"Growll," the dire wolf growled.

It was a big humiliation to it, but these young men pushed it back. It hated them now.

But

Slash

An arrow pierced the dire wolf again, but this time it didn't quite get it in the eye.

It just pierced its upper brow. It started bleeding, and the blood slowly covered its eye.

The normal reaction to that would have been for the dire wolf to cover its eyes.

But

It didn't; its eyes were wide open The hate was evident; it wanted to rip Frank in half.

It lunged toward Frank once again.

But Frank looked at it mockingly.

It was a trap. Frank grabbed a long spear.

"die!!!"

The spear flew and went through its forehead, a perfect execution.

A lot of factors played a role in the demise of the dire wolf. The arrows? It was almost blind in both eyes. The fire slash from the cadets? The wolf was exhausted in body and soul.

But this was the last attack; the dire wolf was done for.

It soon fell to the ground, dead.

The whole crowd went wild, especially the lord first. He was riding forward with all his might to help Frank, but his horse was wounded.

The dire wolf was dead. It had killed a lot, but it was finally dead. They all heaved a sigh of relief. It was about noon now. The battle was over.

They still had someone to take care of, though.

Frank went to cadet Wang Ben and the others, one by one, and helped them up.

"Ha-ha Frank, you stole our kill," said cadet knuckles.

He was happy the wolf was dead.

Frank just smiled. He wasn't the sole reason the dire wolf had been put down.

"Don't be modest, Frank. You took the last shot. It's your kill. Claim it," said the colossal cadet.

Can I have it?Frank was confused about what they were expecting him to do. The wolf was eight feet tall.

"Take the head, Frank, and let the bandit leader see what has happened to his pet," said Wang Ben.

Frank got down from his horse and came to the dire wolf.

"Slash,"

He started cutting the head off.

...…..

Frank and the guys soon rode back to the village square; the wolf's head was tied on the horse, so it went considerably slower.

When they got there, they were in shock at the scene in front of them. It was a massacre.

But they had won. In fact, they were some strange knights surrounding the bandit leader who had been beaten to a pulp.

"You over there identify yourself," said one of the knights.

Frank's first thought was that these must be the reinforcements. He was right.

"Fire-bird base we requested for the reinforcement," said Wang Ben as he pulled out some identification.

"Oh, our officer would like to see you," said the knight.

"lead the way"

Soon they came before a rather beautiful-looking lady. She was clad in heavy armor.

"You are wang ben?" asked the lady.

"Yes ma," Wang ben answered.

"It is surprising that you managed all this without our help," the lady said flatly.

"Normally though, I would punish you for disobeying orders," she added.

The whole group was stunned. Wang Ben had disobeyed orders?

When?

"Relax, I won't." she sighed.

"If you had followed orders, all these villagers would have been taken as slaves."

"When I got your message, I had to double up and on the way, we saw some slavers coming through and managed to capture them."

Wang Ben's original order was to work with the team inside of the Li village to further scout the village for at least a week before reporting back, but because of the turn of events, he took action on his own to save his comrades.

"You have done well and deserve to be commended," she also added.

"Hu-raaaaa," the giant-like cadet screamed.

All the cadets went wild.
