Chapter 14: The Journey Begins

Joel and christian buried timber's remains before heading off to catch up to the others.

The alphas escaped successfully and they didn't bother chasing.

Chloe and the others were inside the tunnel in the middle of the mountain.

London then tells the people to take a 10 minute break and he will go down and check the city.

Chloe then volunteers to tag along as well.

London then agreed and left josh in command.

Chloe and london then goes out the tunnel and rushed towards the city.

As they were running they noticed that there wasn't any noise occuring.

Then as they ran they happen to meet Captain Zeck.

Then Captain zeck told them that he happened to see the battle of the giants and three men at the beach.

Zeck then tells them that one of them died.

Chloe was shocked.

London asked what was the person's identity that had died during the battle.

Zeck replied that it was a middle age guy like him, that was the same as him on his 30s.

London then got on his knees as he heard the words zeck spoke of.

Chloe then tries to comfort london for his loss.

London cried silently as he wipes his tears.

Then christian and joel arrived and saw chloe and london on the ground.

Joel then calls for them and waved his hand.

London and Chloe raised their heads and saw joel and christian arrive.

Then they stood up as the two came near them.

Joel then explained what happened and that the Alphas escaped after killing timber.

And christian said that the commander himself was the one who killed timber.

They weren't expecting that the giants were capable of having those kinds of weaponry.

Even their defensive ability wasn't able to stop the arrows that the commander shot.

Chloe then got angry and said that they need to think of a plan now!

Or the humanity would be wiped out!

Joel then nods at chloe's opinion and asked if anybody was still willing to go to taiwan.

Then christian and chloe agreed that they would still continue the plan that timber left them.

London then tells them that he will accompany them on their journey on behalf of Timber.

Then Zeck also volunteered that he would go with them as well.

Then they went back and go to the tunnel, where the others are.

Joel then explains what happened and told them that the giants fled and left our country unscathed.

But they aren't sure when will the giants attack the country again, So he recommended that the people must go unto the next city and take refuge there.

London then picks one of the citizens as their new leader who will guide them on their journey.

And jason asked if chloe and the others would go to the next city as well.

Chloe told jason that they will head out and look for another species that could help them develop new kinds of technology that can kill the giants.

Jason then volunteers that he would go too.

But chloe told her that their journey would be dangerous, And anytime they could die.

Jason insisted that he wanted to join them.

Jason then asked what happened to timber as he saw them coming back without him.

Joel then tells jason that timber died fighting the giants.

Jason became gloomy out of the blue.

Then josh tells him that they can't do about it.

It's giants where fighting against, even us we won't last a minute if we confronted one of those giants.

Then london asked them if they were ready to leave.

Zeck, jason, joel, josh, chloe and christian nodded.

Then london told the person in charge of the Citizens to be careful and bid their farewells.

Chloe and the others then headed down towards the city.

When they reached the city they saw an open car and rode it to go to the airport.

But once they've reached the airport, they saw that the gate walls near the oceans were opened and the planes were completely destroyed.

Then zeck offered them that they can still use his ship as it was still in a good condition.

Then they all agreed to travel on sea as they had no other choice. They stopped at a gasoline station to gather some fuel for the ship.

Then they went to the beach and saw alot of dead alphas scattered around the shore.

London then asked if they killed all of those with just the three of them.

Christian replied saying that they were the ones who killed the alphas but without timber they would have both died.

Joel then explained that they had new technologies that coats their bodies and absorbs damages that are fired at them.

Christian intervened and said that timber was the only one who discovered the weakness of their coating technology. That's why they were able to kill the alphas.

London then looked at the alphas and cursed them that he will avenge timber's death no matter what happens.

Then as they reached the coast at the end of the beach they saw a guy at zeck's ship waving at them.

Then as they got off the car and walked towards the ship they notice, That it was zeth who was at the ship.

They all then greeted him as the president.

But zeth forbid them to call him president as he proclaims that he is now Zeth Vurawot, the Genius adventurer.

Then they all laughed and never thought that the president had this kind of humor.

Zeck went and refueled the ship while escorted by joel and jason.

Then they all went to the ship and began preparing for their departure.

After several days..

Chloe and the others were still at the middle of the ocean.

London then gathered them all at the lobby to discuss their plan when they reach taiwan.

Chloe then brings out her map then shows london where they will be docking, to prevent the giants from noticing them.

Then they discussed where they should be heading after they reach land.

Josh then tells them the details about the insides and outskirts of the country.

And josh asked them where is their target destination for this journey.

Chloe and joel looked at christian and christian said he didn't know.

Then London spoke that they would be going there (As he pointed towards Taipei)

The others then started to sweat as they saw it was far. Very far from the landing place (Hengch'un)

London then told them that when timber and him were exploring taiwan they encountered several reptoids on that area.

That is why it is the place that they should go.

Then all of them nodded as they didn't have any choices.

Joel then asked Zeck if how many days would they take to reach taiwan.

Zeck then replied that it would take them most likely a week if they kept their pace.

But zeck told them that they can't let the ship go straight to taiwan without prior maintenance since it's all tattered and old. If the ship gives, then they'll be using the small boat at the back to go to taiwan.

Joel then said that he could fly all the way there.

Zeth then laughed, and the others followed laughing as well.

Then they continued discussing, As jason prepared them food to eat.

After several days..

Niko wins against clay on a hand to hand combat, then they sparred with swords at the end niko also won.

Then the Elder gathered all of the reptoids at the hall.

Telling them that above the surface, are now the Alpha's territories.

But he will send their mighty warriors to try and fight those bastards and decrease their numbers even if it took them a year to wipe out the alphas.

Elder then calls the names that would be venturing unto the surface.

Clay, Asquel, Helen, Barques, Dindei, Lomi, Ardug and Niko will be the ones to go at the surface and fight the Alphas.

The ones who were called then went infront and bowed and.

Niko introduced himself to the new faces.

Then the elder motivated the warriors by sending them off with a speech.

After the gathering ended they all went home to bring their things for the journey.

And met each other at the gate behind the plaza.

Elder then told them to be careful and always protect each others back.

The group all nodded at the elder and the Elder asked them about their group name.

He said that it was necessary since they will venture the surface on a group.

The others then looked at each other and didn't have any ideas. Clay then tells Niko that he should be the one naming the group.

Niko then thinks for a second and came up with a name.

He named the group "Pioneers."

And told them behind the meaning of this group name as he explained that they are the first ones to venture on this conquest that is why they deserve the word (Pioneer).

All of the reptoids agreed to the name that niko gave and the elder also liked it.

After that, They bid their farewells with each other and moved along with their Journey on hunting down Alphas.

Niko, for the first time experienced a journey underground where they would encounter jumping on rocks that was near the lava.

and fought with anacondas that were hiding underground.

After two days they reached the exit of the underground where it was hidden at the forest near cairo.

Then they kept an eye at the surroundings and didn't let their guards down.

After several hours of walking Lomi then asks the group to take a rest, and the others agreed.

They took a 30 minute break for them to rest.

Clay and asquel then had a conversation with each other while Niko was surrounded by helen, lomi and dindei.

Niko was feeling awkward as the Female reptoids kept clinging unto him and they asked if he was feeling uncomfortable.

Niko then replies that he is feeling awkward surrounded by female reptoids.

Then the three reptoids changed their forms into humans and niko was shocked to see that they were so pretty in their human forms.

Barques then walks towards them and tells niko that he could also transform into human.

Meanwhile ardug stayed alert as he was the guard that was on shift.

Barques then turns into a muscular human with a face with over 30 years of age. But still looked handsome.

Niko then asked if they just imitated other people with their forms.

Helen then explains that this is their original shapeshift form as a human.

They cannot imitate other person's looks, they could only imitate reptiles.

Niko then sat still while dazzled by their stories.

Niko then praised that they were very very good looking on their human forms.

Lomi then holds niko's arms and asked if he would want to marry her.

Niko then bursts into sweat and wasn't able to answer.

As they continued talking, the scene went to Chloe's group where they were almost at the their destination.

London then tells them to prepare their things and lower the small boat behind the ship.

They cannot afford to lose this ship if this was spotted by the Giants.

Then they lowered the boat and got in and headed to the coast of hengch'un.

As they arrived at the shores of the beach.

They noticed that it was too quiet and they moved silently towards the city, and noticed that it was already demolished.

Then they started moving towards the inner parts. They looked at their surroundings if there were any signs of giants lurking, But Christian an Joel used their aura detection ability and noticed that the city was completely safe.

Then they headed on one of the buildings that were still standing and took shelter there as the sun sets.

They organized their shifts on who will be guarding per hour as they rest.

Unto the next scene where Niko and the pioneers camped near the beach.

And also organized their shifts when they sleep.

Lomi and dindei still kept on clinging to niko while they ate dinner. Niko then asked clay and asquel to transform into humans so that he could see their human forms.

Clay and asquel looked at each other then transformed into humans.

Asquel was pretty decent looking as niko complimented him on his looks.

But when he looked at Clay he burst into laughter he could not believe even in his human form he was still an old geezer.

Then they all laughed at clay's human form.

Clay then began to feel embarrassed and asked ardug that he would be taking the first shift to guard at the back.

Ardug then pretends not to laugh at clay's human form and nodded.

As Clay walked towards the forest to guard ardug started laughing so hard that even the other pioneers laughed at the way he laughed.

Then they all laughed like crazy while eating dinner.

Clay then gets annoyed as he hears them laughing at his Form and blames niko for all this embarrassment.

Chapter 14: END
