The birth of Riro and invasion.

A long long time ago in ancient china, the realm was ruled by a single warrior called The Dragon Warrior. The dragon warrior was one chosen from among the people who could master the six ancient Dragon scrolls and above all master his ego.

The first dragon warrior was Tai Lung Fey, he thought the title only depended on the mastery of the six Dragon scrolls, he became arrogant and full of pride, but he was wrong. So he was locked in the ancient Shanghai Soo Prison. And a new dragon warrior came to being, Po Ming, who mastered the scrolls and more, himself and ruled china for several decades.

Po Ming slept in the bosom of his fathers and china sought for a new dragon warrior, as fate would have it; it was Po Ming's son "Lee Ming".

The next dragon warrior was also in the line of Po Ming – The fiery Za Ming. Like the saying goes "Absolute power corrupts", Za Ming decided that china under the Ming dynasty rule would be ruled by the Panda clan – Hence the dragon warrior should always be a descendant of Po Ming. This led to a battle between the three clans – Panda clan, Fara clan and Oogway clan. Thus china was split into three dynasties; Qing (previously Ming) dynasty, Wong Su dynasty and Ching dynasty. As time went on two dynasties united, the Qing dynasty and Ching dynasty.

Then a prophecy was foretold of a Dragon warrior rising from Wong Su dynasty to unite the whole of china again… His name

Galloping of beasts at a distance is heard, with dust rising to the skies, farmers in Wong Su dynasty looked curiously to see who the rider was; the first farmer that met the dust became headless, with blood pumping upwards. At the fading down of the dust, the sun glows on the blade of the ferocious commander of the barbarians – Tang Wai leading his troops into the city.

Then a loud cry of fear and horror resounded from the farms and hasty feet ran into the city giving out a loud sound of warning. With each falling to the blade of Tang Wai or his allies as they jeered.

At the heart of the city, Tang Wai stole foods, money, clothes, killed male infants and took female infants as slaves. As he mounted on his beast to depart, he spoke out;

"Tell your spineless king Fara that Tang Wai, the commander of the Barbarians has taken his share and he should save the rest for the Grand master Za Ming. Who is coming this twilight!" with that he rode off with the spoils.

When Fara heard of the invasion, he was devastated by it and the thought of another round of confrontation from Za Ming's invincible troops.

He quickly summoned the head of Wong Su garrison and commander of battalions to his palace and they drafted a plan against the impending attack.

At night watch, the bridge between Wong Su and Qing Dynasty became misty. Then as the mist became deep fog, Wong Su soldiers suspected movement, instantly, the fog died down and they were facing the invincible Za Ming's troops. With the swift martial art prowess of Za's troops, Wong Su soldiers fell with ease. Za's troops moved from huts to huts, killing all males and took females as bounty for Za Ming.

Fara and Fo Ping (Commander of Battalions) fought in gallantry, but the archers arrows lesion both men and the village was rampaged with the village at the mercy of Foon Za Wai – commander of Za Ming's invincible troops; He was considering total annihilation of Wong Su dynasty, but was reminded by his subordinates of Emperor Za Ming's instruction to spare parts of the dynasty. Then he withdrew his troops and headed back to the capital with his spoils.

Three weeks after the invasion, Fara is seen with his leg bandaged, supporting himself with a stick as he paced from North to South. While at the entrance of the same hut, Fo Ping who had his hand strapped from his shoulder sat on a stool with him in thoughts. Then a midwife ran to Fara;

"Your Highness – It's a baby boy!" she said as she ran back into the hut.

Fara was filled with joy, he looked at Fo Ping and both men started laughing. Then minutes later, the same midwife came and told Fo Ping that his wife delivered a baby girl, this time both men supported themselves and rushed behind the midwife into the hut.

Fara named his male child Riro Shu Chin while Fo Ping named his female child Bomra Ping. Riro and Bomra spent time playing together and made friends with Egret Chan – who later became the closest friend of Bomra, Koala Woo and Donnie (Donkey) Chow.

Their companionship was filled with mischievous escapades and valour – At sixteen, they led troops that fought back the invading barbarians and saved the spoils. So in the city, they were seen as a glimmer of hope for Wong Su dynasty.

On the seventeenth year after the last invasion, Wong Su dynasty was ravaged by hunger, and people started fleeing the city. And others were feigning apathy to the ruling family.

The invasion took its tow on the daily life of the people in Wong Su dynasty as females became scarce, young men also scarce and the land was under continuous attack by mobs from the mountains. This led to various reforms by Fara, all to no avail as time was drawing near for another invasion.

Riro and his companions were strolling beside his father's maize farm, when voices were heard;

"Help me! Thief!" the voice goes, as it was suppressed.

As Riro and his companion rushed to the field, they saw, the peasant on the floor while the thief was trying to escape. They circled the thief and started a fight.

The thief was so fast and ruthless with his mastery of martial art nothing compared to that of Riro and his companions. He defeated them one after the other and later together. As the others was lying on the floor writhing in pain, the thief and Riro was locked in combat. Then he throat –lock Riro with the ancient Tai-chi move and knocked him out. He was about to flee when he was struck with a big stick on his head by the peasant and he fell down on the floor of the maize farm.

On gaining consciousness, he saw Riro, his companions and the peasant standing round him and he tried to move.

"If I were you – I wouldn't do that," Riro said.

Realizing that he has been tied, he fumed with anger.

"Spoilt brat; reeling in affluence while the villagers dies of hunger," the thief said.

"I know I am spoilt, but a righteous judge stealing from a farm and beating up a peasant – I guess we are both spoilt, so my friend; what is your name?" Riro asked.

"Lee Wong," he said remorsefully.

"I love your mastery of Tai-chi, I would love to learn from you – why not I cut you a deal, huh? You teach me and my friends Tai-chi and I let this slip like it never happened or have you face the wrath of my father. Oh! Need I remind you – he hates thieves. So what is it going to be?" Riro asked as he stood expectantly. Lee Wong simply bowed his head in disdain.

Lee Wong started teaching Riro and his companions the ancient Tai-chi move, as they all became his student. With days turning weeks and weeks turning months, Lee Wong realized that they weren't as spoilt as he taught and he became part of Riro's furious five.
