V5 Chapter 33 Parent Wish List 1/2

*BANG*

The chair lets out a creak as it scrapes the floor. Amon rolled over to Little One.

" It's okay, it's alright I'm here. Look it's me, your best friend in the whole universe."

Amon gently reassures as he caresses the baby's cheeks wiping away his tears. Little One stopped wailing and sniffed as he looks up at Amon.

*BANG*

" Darzirak, go get rid of those shrieking creatures of the night."

Amon ordered as he gently rubs Little One's chest, soothing the baby.

" She threw me! Across the room! Like some rag doll!!"

Darzirak exclaims, absolutely furiously by it as he leaps to his feet.

" It's your own fault. You were being evil, not stop being evil and help out."

Amon points out without even sparing him, a glance.

*BANG*

" Evil?! Evil, he says! I'm a freaking demon! I don't do good. Also, help?! I don't do help either!"

Darzirak scoffed as he turns his back to Amon and sits down in the corner of the room.

" Then you better get used to living like those dark creatures outside, if you don't help me then I don't need you."

Amon threatened, his deep voice, ringing in a such playful manner as he tickled Little One, making the baby squeal in delight. Yet his words held such weight thanks to the binding contract between them. Darzirak's instincts jolted, fearing Amon's words and what he was capable of with his contact. Unfortunately for his instincts Darzirak was delighted at such intimidation and revel at such glorious fear. Darzirak was a demon who got excited at fear, he loved the feeling of goosebumps crawling up his skin and even found it to be pleasurable to be tortured.

*BANG*

Darzirak shivered before a huge grin appears on his face.

" Landlord, I don't plan to live rent-free. Just ask me like that and I'll gladly pay whatever price you wish. Just remember, show any weakness and I won't hesitate to steal your home from you. "

Darzirak says with a huge grin showing off all his teeth.

" Then it will be you who lives without form and pay rent."

Darzirak whispers under his breath and then starts crackling such a loud evil laugh. His laughter roared echoing and shaking through the wall as all the candlelight went out at the same time.

Silence, there were no chanting demons, no scratching, no pounding upon the walls and window. Nothing but the sound of Philomel's heartbeat pounding against her ribcage.

" Is it gone?"

Philomel's trembling voice breaks the silence as she tried her best not to sound scared.

" For now. He'll be back from the shadow world whenever he feels like it though."

*BANG* BANG* BANG*

The door shook and the chair scrape the floor as Hector increased his speed on breaking open the door.

" Ah, f...."

Amon immediately stops himself remembering that he was in the presence of a child.

" Fish ... fish.. swim.. swim. Some fish sink, some fish float like a ... Boat! *bloop bloop bloop*"

Amon chimed as he taps on Little One's nose, making the baby squeal in delight and laugh.

*BANG* BANG* BANG*

Before Philomel could say anything, Amon throws the blanket onto her.

" I'll handle this, just hide under the blanket and pretend everything I say is extremely funny."

Amon ordered as he trips on the blanket and falls off the bed.

" I'm okay."

He quickly informed as he shot back up to his feet. Amon hook one of the chair legs with his feet pulling the chair back to the table as he fumbled with his clothes. The door swung open with an extremely worried wolf strumbled into the room. Luckily for Amon and Philomel, the wolf wasn't holding a candle and was relying on his night vision.

" Are you two?!!...."

Hector barks out in a worried tone, just to see Amon struggling to put on his pants and Philomel hiding under a blanket.

" Ah! Sorry about taking so long to answer the door... we were a little... preoccupied."

Amon apologized as he buttons his pants. Philomel immediately gigged at Amon's words, completely unsure why she was doing so. Hector's jaw hits the ground in shock as his cheeks flushed with embarrassment, instantly remembering that the couple was on their honeymoon.

" Ah! I'm terribly sorry! It's just that the creatures of darkness outside started chanting. Chief is currently outside helping the others and she told me to check on you two... I'm really sorry for interrupting you! Please don't mind me."

Hector blurted out in a nervous tone as he stumbled on his words, immediately turning and shutting the door behind him.

" Yelp!"

He squeaked in pain as his long white tail got caught between the closing door, sending a jolt of shock rather than pain through his body.

" Are you?"

Amon was about to ask but Hector interrupts him.

" I'm alright! Just pretend I'm not here."

He shuttered as he closed the door, leaving as fast as he could before he could embarrass himself further. Amon walks over to the door, opens it, and watches the wolf, leave.

" Have a good night."

Amon cheerfully wished, Hector replied Amon with a quick wave of his paw before disappearing into his room. Amon chuckled at the wolf's reaction and was extremely pleased with how the whole plan went.

" How did you do that?"

Philomel curiously asked as Amon closes the door and locks it, completely oblivious to what trick Amon just pulled.

" That's for me to know and for you... to never know..."

Amon mysteriously said as he stumbled on the chair.

" You don't happen to have firestone, do you?"

Amon groans out the question as he rubs the pain out of his leg.

" Hmm... if you tell me what you did I might have it."

Philomel chimed with a sly tone.

" Then you don't have one."

Amon ordered, not willing to reveal his grand trick.

" Awnegttt!"

Little One squealed in the dark, finding being in absolute pitch-black darkness, entertaining.

" How is he still awake?"

Amon questioned silently amazed at the fact.

" Because it's time to feed him but it's so dark, to see anything, not even where his milk bottle is. Oh no, whatever will you do? "

Philomel innocently exclaimed.

" I can feed him perfectly fine in the dark."

Amon replies as he sits down on the chair and feels around the table for the milk bottle. The sound of rustling paper, the clink of a fingernail tapping onto a glass bottle of ink along with the splash sound of water, played a terrible-sounding symphony as Amon's hands moves back and forth trying to find everything. Philomel rolled her eyes, slightly disappointed in Amon as she pulled out the magical stone from her stomach armor.

With a quick release of her hidden blade, she taps the blade on the magic stone, sending sparks of magic into the air due to the stone's reaction to alloy.
