Chapter 72

Title: Unseen Intervention

...

Zooming in on my Calogram located in Konoha, I located an uneasy Temari seated with a leg crossed over the other, I suddenly had a thought.

Why don't I use her as a means to alert Konoha of the attack on Sunagakure? At present, an entire night had passed with Deidara and Gaara still battling it out in the desert of the Wind Country.

They had met up with Kankuro and his squad fighting Sasori who had managed to kill off a good percentage of the squad with Kankuro and one delegate from Rorân now holding him down.

Kankuro had already been poisoned, but with the Puppet body of that one guy, they were still able to hold him down lest he join forces with Deidara and suppress Gaara.

Deidara, despite losing his hands, still had his mouth, and with it, he was still able to spit out explosives at Gaara.

As the battle continued, they all drew near Rorân at a steady pace.

I wonder why they can't just battle on one spot. And would you look at that... Kankuro has gone down, and considering how good Sasori is with his poisons, there is a good chance he would be dying if medication is delayed.

This had gone way out of Canon plot line and the Anbu sent by Baki won't be arriving in Konoha anytime soon, afterall, it takes three days to move from Sunagakure to Konoha even at the fastest speed a Shinobi can go without rest.

To make matters worse, the Anbu hasn't even left the boundaries of the deserts.

Guess there's no helping it.

"Temari..." I called out, sending out an electromagnetic signal through the radio waves present in the air. It was a type of telepathic communication where only she is able to hear me no matter who's around her.

It's similar to the telepathic connection the Uchihas are privy to with their Sharingan.

Itachi is the only one who's learnt this to the peak in the long records of their clan. Even Ayame whom I sent to my Universe back then to develop the Izanami wasn't this proficient.

With Itachi, he could influence the light waves however he wishes. Ingenious from him, that's part of the reason not even Naruto with his Jinchuriki status is still able to be caught by him.

There's no way to break away from an illusion not based on chakra, and since both Kurama and Naruto have no idea on light manipulation, there's no way to break out of it.

Temari, who just heard her name, looked around to locate the owner of the voice, only to see no one around her. This raised her level of uneasiness, but after thinking about her location, she shrugged and assumed that she must have heard wrongly.

Turning to her side, she picked up a cup of tea she had placed on the bench only to notice a crack on it.

'This...A bad omen?' She thought superstitiously which so happened to actually not be a superstition as misfortune was about to strike her remaining family.

"Temari of the Sand." I called out once again causing her to startle and drop the cup of tea which fell and broke apart on the ground.

"Who's there!?" She asked as she readied her Kogai fan in alertness. The air around her seemed to feel her emotions and cake to a halt as the area turned silent.

"You don't need to be startled, little girl, for there's no one around you for a good distance as of now. Your life isn't in any danger." I tried to assure.

"..."

Temari simply ignored me and continued looking around in scrutiny. I didn't blame her anyways and continued.

"I'm currently in a place far from here, but if I wanted to harm you, not even the five Kages could stop me. Anyways..."

I snapped my fingers and sent a copy of the images I was seeing over to her as an HUD of what was going on in Sunagakure at the moment.

"That is a live feed from Sunagakure as we speak. That uneasiness you've been feeling since you awoke is real and is about to take a whole new turn."

"Wh-What is this?" Temari's voice shook as she saw her little brother Kankuro on the ground bleeding all over and Gaara fighting a battle she wouldn't want to find herself in the midst of.

Suddenly, she frowned as her logical mind suddenly kicked in. "What is this? What are you playing at?"

"What do you mean? I'm showing you what is actually happening at the moment over at Sunagakure and you assume I'm playing some form of games with you?" I asked curiously.

I understand that Shinobis always need to think fast in any situation, they also need to think critically, and as someone whose sibling to the Kazekage, daughter of the former one and a Jounin at that, her thinking process would surely be different.

"You haven't shown yourself and are playing games with me by showing me this Genjutsu, are you perhaps thinking of doing something against this our hard earned alliance? I'll have you know that neither I nor my siblings are weak."

"I understand that perfectly little girl. In fact, as of now, you three rank in the top 20 strongest humans alive, however, it's because of that that I can't let either of them die." I told the little girl.

She kinda reminds me of Hinami...the older version. The younger Hinami was cute and all, but that all went down the drain after she became priestess of that stupid sect or whatever.

Now she's one strong headed badass girl who always has an opinion on matter what... Letting out a tired sigh, I couldn't help but be reminiscent of the good old days.

"What does that mean?" She asked with scrunched eyebrows.

"You see Temari, there are...forces that guide the flows of...events, for a lack of better words...and then there are...enigmas... yeah, others whose presence goes against that flow."

"Due to the presence of said enigma or enigmas, certain events are going out of proportions, some good, some bad. And this one...is bad."

"This one? As in my brothers?" She asked, her voice still holding unto her vigilance with a hint of confusion.

"Exactly. They weren't supposed to last the night, you littlest brother that is. He was meant to have saved the village with his life and then your other little brother will then pursue the culprits and end up hospitalized. His condition would be manageable till you get help from Konoha. This group will then rescue your brother...brothers." I explained the little I could from the original timeline.

"That's... unbelievable."

"Yeah. I know." I said with an amused scoff. "If you did believe that then I would have questioned your rationality."

"Then what do you want?" Temari asked and glanced at the HUD. "I still don't believe this thing in my face."

"Oh? How about this? I'll influence the battle however you want...not anything major mind you, and then you'll believe me right?"

"Right..." She said hesitantly and looked at Kankuro who was nearing the end of his life. Without Sunagakure's medications, he won't be able to hold on.

Sasori is someone who's a genius in both the art of puppetry and Poison. This is why Kankuro was still at death's door despite already having taken in some antidotes.

One had to know that Tsunade, despite all her achievements in Medical Ninjutsu, had someone who made her who she was today.

Respected Elder Chiyo.

She's the little lady that managed to always create a new poison whenever Tsunade manages to crack her former poison and come up with an antidote.

Due to their rivalry, they both pushed each other to the limits of both Poison Making and Medical Ninjutsu.

The only let down was that while Tsunade had a lot of resources in the knowledge department, Chiyo had nothing and no one to lead her through the process...So in a way, Chiyo is a more sophisticated Genius than Tsunade is...

Hmm...What a curious thing.

Anyways, despite the several antidotes Sunagakure has in their treasury, Sasori's poison was something no one has ever encountered before.

He was also a genius in his own right, hence Kankuro's current predicament.

"Heal him up."

"Hm?"

"Heal him up. Heal Kankuro up. You said you could influence the battle right? Stop him from dying." She demanded with a stern look

"And here I thought you'd ask me to bring you there." I chuckled at her serious face. Although she's not capable of seeing me, she's pretty capable in putting up a front to look un-intimidated.

"That's something I doubt you can do."

"Oh? But I can do that. That's exactly why I even bothered contacting you." I told the girl, but before she could ask anything, I continued. "Watch."

Now this is one of the perks of being godly which I didn't like using. Understanding.

It's an aspect of reality that sits under the Omniscience which Gods possess. The ability to know all.

And despite being nerfed in my condition, Understanding was pretty much up there for me. Laws which would take one years to comprehend were but a walk in the park for me.

And extending my influence over to the Wind Country from my Office in Hanagakure, I sent over a wisp of temporal energy into Kankuro's body and damn...was it draining!?

Moving through space was one thing, but completely dominating it while also tapping into the concept of time which I didn't particularly possess in this world was another.

I guess even my Higher Dimension Level soul can't do much without a strong enough body to support it. My body, despite being at the stage it was when I initially left earth in the past, isn't particularly capable of handling the immense amount of Soul energy locked up in my Soul.

As for the temporal energy? I created that from my Soul. Yup. You can't create something from nothing so there's that.

"And done." I said to the girl. "That flash of green will keep him sustained till I release my hold on it."

"Your hold on it?" She asked, frowning slightly. "Aren't you healing him?"

"And risk destabilizing the already destabilized flow completely? Yeah..no." I chuckled at her naivety. Why would I do that when I could send Sakura over there to gain some experience?

"You..." Speechless, she could only utter that one word.

"Don't bother trying to persuade me. After this conversation, you'll forget we ever talked, you'll only ever remember that an Anbu from the Sand village sent you a note stating that your village is under attack."

"What? Why? How?"

"Heh. Those three questions... Anyways, you don't need to know. I'm only taking telling you this because you're needed"

"Then... how will we get there in time?"

"The same way I was able to stop your brother from dying while sitting in my office."

"What? Your office? You're not there?"

"Why would I be there? I'm currently chilling in my office. As for how I did that...you'll have to wait to find out." I said with a chuckle and immediately sealed away her memory of our potentially existential conversation.

Wouldn't want the little lass to begin thinking about 'The Flow' of things, would we?

While doing that, I fabricated some sets of memories and implanted them in her mind while also overwriting the memories of some men that matter in the Anbu department of Konoha and their sensory department.

Wouldn't want some unnecessary questions going around would we?

As for why I wasn't erasing her memory... heh. That would be damaging her Spiritual Core. I wasn't that heartless yet.

And with that out of the way, I watched as the entire thing went down.

Temari reported to Shikamaru and then Tsunade, who then called all the available ninjas in the village...and guess what?

Out of the thousands of Shinobi in Konoha, it just so happened that today, they were all caught up with one thing or another.

Heh. I guess even fate can't affect the arcs where the necessary characters are meant to grow.

And so, team Seven with the inclusion of Temari set off to Sunagakure. Sakura, Naruto and Kakashi.

Naruto didn't particularly want to leave Kushina, but upon hearing that Gaara was in danger, he immediately accepted with Kushina not minding that she just met her son for the first time since her 'death' and had to see him leave again the very same day.

And while they were doing all this, I immediately contacted Orochimaru and told him not to panic and to also calm down Sasuke's team of four.

Kimimaro, Jūgo, Suigetsu and well, Sasuke.

With him disappearing suddenly, I'm pretty sure they'd panic.

And some minutes later, while team Seven plus Temari were running through the Forest, and Sasuke was chilling in their shared room...I acted.

Connecting all their Chakra signatures together to form a singular node, I conjured an invisible portal that opened up in front of the team of four as well as beneath the chilling Sasuke.

And the next thing they all saw the instant they blinked and opened their eyes once again was the far off city of Roran.

"What the fuck?"

"Sasuke-kun?"

"You bastard!"

"Hm?"

"Nani."

Those were the collective and immediate response of Kakashi, Sakura, Naruto, Sasuke and Temari.
