CHAPTER 13 (Survive For A Day)

"Doctor Vega, he is not here," Ibiza said again, drawing a growl from the doctor.

Gunner then learns the name of the doctor. He was Dr. Vega; he had seen or heard that name before, but he couldn't recall where or when. He was certain that he was a significant figure, and he despised himself for forgetting something hugely important.

Gunner carefully plugged his phone's wire into his power bank, sweating to avoid making any noise because you never know what might happen. He noticed his phone's battery was now powering up. He just hopes it won't be too long before his phone is fully charged.

"No, I'm not deaf!" "Dr. Vega yelled, and Ibiza fell silent because he was afraid of him."

Dr. Vega exhaled after taking a deep breath. "Come here, dog," Dr. Vega said, and Ibiza immediately walked over to him.

"Please forgive me; I'm just a little tired. Let's look for him in the second section. I'm sure he's there," Dr. Vegas said, to which Ibiza nodded.

Gunner heard their footsteps fade away and the elevator opened. They are no longer present.

Gunner immediately exhaled all of the air he had been holding in due to his fear.

He rested there for at least a minute or two to make sure that it was not a bait that he would just go out. After making sure that he was just all alone in there, he decided to go out from where he had been hiding.

"This place surely is hell but cold," he murmured as he shook his pants in the dirt. The used oil was surely a one of a hell smell.

He looked above from his head and there he saw a closer look of the person inside the globe. They all look alike. Bald hair, naked and they are all pale and asleep. But he noticed that half of the line was awake and it seemed like their attention on a virtual television that Gunner could not see what was in it, but his guts were telling him not to look at it.

His heart pounded as he took a walk and saw every person that passed by. He was sure that his twin brother was there.

His eyes were searching every inch of the person because they all looked alike. He might not know that he had already passed his brother.

"Where are you," he murmured as fog came out of his mouth.

There were hundreds of them and it was impossible for him to finish looking at each one of them to find his brother. Looks like he had to be much more careful not to get caught up before he can find him.

As he walks past them, he notices that some of the humans inside are getting weaker and weaker. Some look like bones already. He cannot imagine how long they had been here to look like that.

Some of these are missing persons in Japan and maybe Mr. Sato's son is here.

He was about to walk past the one that was so skinny when he looked familiar to him. Even though he could already be recognized, Gunner was sure that it was Mr. and Mrs. Sato's son. It was Ryu. He was pale and also bald. But unlike the others, he was skinny and you can already see his ribs bulging out. And also, unlike the others, he was asleep and maybe he was out to rest. But even Gunner can't help but to think how mad and horrible this building is. He can't even imagine that a human could do such things.

Gunner can't help but to think that maybe all the devils in hell are not there because they are here. You can't be afraid of ghosts, but you should be afraid of humans.

He looked at the globe carefully and there was a plate but he was unable to see it. He looked around for something that he can use for heights. It is not really high for him.

He saw a long steel chair and he was sure that it was enough for him to see the plate of Ryu's globe.

Due to coldness, it was damp with ice so he needed to wipe it away using his hands or just enough for him to see the plate. He was right, on every globe there is data of them.

He read the plate in a whisper. "Name: Ryu Sato. Age: nineteen Home: Japan. Code: 11618."

There he was taken aback and saw a hundred people internally screaming for freedom and help. It was like Gunner was in a cape of a cemetery.

"God have mercy." That was all that Gunner uttered under his breath and his hands were shaking in the cold.

What will he do? What will his actions be now? How will he manage to escape after he finds his brother? Will they ever survive if his brother right now also looked like Ryu? He needs to think of a way.

He needs to survive.

They need to survive.

But right now, all he can see on the scene is death.

All he can do right now is to hide, run, and survive.

What will he eat? What will he drink if he is there for how many days?

Gunner was sure that there was no escape since DR. Vega already knew his presence and they would not stop until he caught him. That is what he thinks. His mind was about to blow because of the possibilities that would happen to him, maybe later, maybe tonight, maybe tomorrow or maybe the next day. No one knew.

Gunner took a step down from the steel chair and there he remembered the room that he had been in earlier. Doctor Vega's room. He was not mistaken that he found bread and drink in the next cabinet that he was in.

It was food and maybe he could sneak out just to survive for a day.
