Chapter 10: Examination

"Welcome it seems like you came for the exam"

A tall slender woman with dark green hair and who wore something which seemed like a military uniform came to their aid

"Umm yes we actually came for the exams"

"What is your name please"

"Rei warlford"

"Shin warlford"

"You don't mean you guys are the magi's grandkids"

She covers her mouth in astonishment as she looks at the both of them

"It's a pleasure having both of you here today and your exam hall is just a few steps to your right"

She points towards the direction for them

"Not so fast"

Another woman comes in

"These two are to be separated during this exam unless we will want this school building to crumble before it's time

The woman also wore the same military uniform

"Rei walford you will be following me to your examination hall, while Shin will follow her to his examination hall"

She gestured to another woman standing behind her signalling her to come out.

"And again please be careful you should seriously try to reduce your power"

She warns before the two separate parties departed.

In the examination

*sigh*

After a few hours of watching his fellow students go all out as they presumed, Rei grew bored of the entire exam and wanted nothing but to be with his queen (Maria), but was brought out of his dream world with an abrupt call

"Rei walford, it's your turn"

Crack.. crack...

He stands up cracking his knuckle

"And please take it easy not to destroy the entire facil..."

Boom....

A sudden explosion was heard which interrupted her

"Oh? It seems like Shin is going wild"

Rei remarks at the sudden explosion

"It must be coming from the other training facility"

The supervisor tried to calm the other students who were still panicking

"So let me proceed with my exams"

Rei turns toward the dummy and concentrated a high amount of natural energy on his hand which formed a small stone.

He directed the small stone which was still levitating in his hand towards the dummy and released it.

Voom... fwoosh...

The stone travels with a speed that nobody's eyes could follow and a gush of wind followed raising all the girl's skirts present in the training hall revealing their panties

After all the ruckus the environment was calm. The supervisor went to check out the dummy's state but to her greatest surprise found the dummy still intact and a small hole on the forehead and a small hole on the window

"It seems I'm done here so I'm leaving"

"Don't forget to collect your status plate before you leave!!"

She yelled

Bamm...

The door was shut

At the school assembly hall leading to the gate

Ahhh...

Reid sighed ruffling his hair which released his hair band which exposed his long hair

"Rei Rei!! over here"

Shin waved at Rei signalling him to come over in their direction

"Shin? I thought you would be home by now"

"I was waiting for Aug"

He points at Aug

"Rei can you believe this, Shin will be giving the opening speech as the student with the best result"

Aug teases Shin

"Stop that Aug.."

Shin pouts

"But nii-san I'm kinda surprised you were not the best"

"Yeah, I decided to take it easy for a while,

but damn you had to blow up the building"

"Well he got what he deserved

By the way, Rei kun have you collected your status player"

"Hmm... what's that for"

"Well... it's used to check your mana level, your strength, your stamina, almost everything about you"

"Wow is that so"

"Here is mine"

Shin brings out a green coloured tablet showing his present status

Rei pats Shin back

"What of your own Aug, I'd like to see it"

Rei asked

"If you insist..."

He brings out the same tablet from his pocket

and hands it over to Rei

"Wow you're really something Aug"

He praises him which sounded like he was teasing him

"But where can I get mine "

He looks around curiously

"Here just follow me"

Aug leads him to where he can get his status plate

After walking for a while they arrived at the place

"Welcome I see you're here for your status plate"

A tall dark man attended to them he had some bag under his eyes like he has not slept for a while

"Yeah I came to get my status plate"

"Here just place your hand here and your status plate will be ready for you"

He brings out a thump reader

Rei places his thump on top of the thump printer and little screeching noises could be heard

Shsssss..... Chhhhh..... Bamm....

The status plate pops out from a machine nearby

"Such a weird process"

Rei remarks

The man hands the status plate over to Rei

"Let me see... let me see..."

Shin and Aug are both eager to see what Rei got

the attendant tried to cover himself

After a series of tryouts, the result didn't change it was still as it was

Gloomy... gloomy...

Rei was in a bad mood while leaving the school premises

"Cheer up Rei at least you don't have to give a useless speech"

Aug tried to cheer him up but all to no avail it didn't work at all

"I'm a failure"

Rei weeps in pain

Sob... sob...

Wait....

Rei's demeanour returns as usual as his natural senses picks up something strange

"You guys head home I'll be back soon"

"Rei...?"

He dashes off

Excuse... excuse.... excuse....

Rei move swiftly avoiding touching anyone to attract

"There you are..."

Huh?

"Rei kun?"

"Rei!!?"

"So it was you two, Maria and Cecily"

"Don't tell me you came to take the same exams as we"

"Well yeah both I and Rei are enrolling into this school"

"Thank goodness"

Cecily sighed

"No Cecily, this freak is also coming"

"Hey I'm not a freak"

"By the way how did you find us here"

"Well I was tracking some particular presence and I got to you guys"

"Or it maybe that..."

Cecily points toward the ring

"Since we met at my house it was as if Rei was also there"

"I guess my ring is now it was"

He scrutinizes her body curves

"Hey don't look at me like that"

"Since we are here together why don't we collect our uniforms from the school's tailor"

Cecily suggests

"Nice idea, maybe we might meet Rei on the way"

It took the trio 30 minutes to get to the tailors, after collecting their clothes they decided to head back home but on the way, Maria's obsession with the Guru began. She talked for another 30 minutes about the Guru non-stop

"Hey Maria if I get you an appointment with the guru will you kiss me"

"Bleeegh as if"

"Whyyyyy but I can get you an appointment"

"Don't bother a day will come when I'll meet her "

"By the way Cecily don't you think we should tell them"

Maria asks Cecily in a low tone

"I don't think so I will just be bothering them"

"Don't worry it will be alright "

Maria reassures her

"Rei do you know Kurt"

"Hmmm... I've definitely heard that name before"

He tries to remember where he once heard the name but nothing was ringing a bell

"Never mind "

Maria sighs

Meanwhile at the school, in a hall room, there was a meeting of five people in number discussing some pressing issues

"He actually destroyed the examination hall which just one blow and it was just his reduced power as he says"

The first man makes his report

"We also got a report from a nearby village that the entire mountain was levelled to nothingness, the eyes witnesses say that it was like a tiny meteor, they couldn't see the stone but the mountain was totally destroyed"

The second woman gives her report

"I am afraid we have nothing to teach them, they are both monsters, both we have to keep a close eye on them. We are dismissed "

The meeting was dismissed by the chairman and they all left
