Early Warning From A Mysterious Enemies

The hotel situation fell into a great furor after the news spread at lightning speed. Most hotel residents flocked to check out even though they had paid in full for the next few days because of fear and feeling unsafe.

Many police officers came to investigate the incident. An eyewitness was also taken to the police station for questioning.

Until now, some speculation has become a debate among the hotel residents who are still staying. Some of them said that the woman committed suicide because of depression, while others assumed that the woman committed suicide after being threatened by someone.

It began when an eyewitness who went to the rooftop accidentally saw a great quarrel between the victim and the 'perpetrator.'

Witnesses said a man with curly hair and a snake tattoo on his hand forced the woman to jump from the rooftop for no apparent reason.

She said that the man carried a knife to scare the woman. They quarreled for more than fifteen minutes before the woman climbed over the rooftop guardrail and plunged down under his pressure.

However, there's no valid evidence that can corroborate her testimony. CCTV on the rooftop and the emergency stair isn't working. And the most important thing is that the mysterious man, as said by the witness, has now disappeared into nowhere.

Therefore, some people didn't believe the witness's testimony and thought that the witness was just making it up and accused her if she was the murder of the woman.

Since then, Celine has locked herself in her room. She sat in the corner of the bed while hugging her knees that she bent.

The cold sweat covered her forehead, along with a crazy heartbeat. Her face looked extremely tense, just like someone who had just woken up from a nightmare.

"Celine, open the door. Hiller wants to talk to you," Lucia said outside the room. Her hand hasn't stopped knocking on Celine's bedroom door since an hour ago.

Not long after, Celine opened her bedroom door, only to extend her hand outside, asking Lucia for her phone.

Lucia said nothing but handed the phone to her.

Clack ...

Celine stepped towards the mattress and sat on its edge. Her eyes stared at her screen phone where the duration had been going on since ten minutes ago.

"Yes, it's me," Celine said in the prelude with mixed feelings.

"Are you okay?" asked Hiller, shrouded in undisguised worry.

And yeah. Without asking, she understood that he already knew everything that was happening. It must have been her bodyguard who reported to him.

Celine lay down on the bed. Should she tell him the truth? Or maybe lying?

"I'm fine. Nothing happened to me." Celine exhaled heavily.

Hiller is in the toilet cubicle because he's still working and can't play with his phone around. However, this is urgent business.

He was driven mad after hearing a report from Celine's bodyguard. The bodyguard explained all the details to avoid missing a single critical point.

He can't act normal. Because, as far as he knew, the crime rate in Pille City was low. And what is happening today is entirely contrary to the norm there.

He had heard the bodyguard's explanation of the incident, including the opinions of witnesses. Then, if the victim was forced to commit suicide by a stranger, what is the man's motive for causing the woman to do it?

Is this a scenario that someone has planned?

But for what? Addressed to whom?

"Don't wander anywhere. Just stay in your room. Do you understand?"

Celine closed her eyes for a moment. No, she's not okay. She was terrified. She wants to cover her eyes and ears, so she doesn't know what's happening.

"Celine? Do you hear me?"

When Celine opened her eyes, her eyes shot straight at the room's ceiling. "Mn. It's okay, I'm fine. You don't have to worry about my safety. This is an unexpected incident. Think of it that way."

"But ... you're okay, right?" Hiller whispered in a cautious tone.

Celine nodded, even though she knew Hiller couldn't see her. "Let's talk later. I want to rest and calm down. This incident scared me enough." Honest Celine.

"Alright. Make sure you take your phone with you wherever you go, and don't wander alone unaccompanied by Lucia or your bodyguard," Hiller warned Celine, his 'little sister.'

"I understand. I'm shutting down the phone right now."

Beep ...

Celine put her phone aside. Even though she was hungry, she didn't feel like eating. She just wanted to sleep and calm down, as she told Hiller a few minutes ago.

The sky this morning in Grilef City was beautiful. The blue color with a slight touch of white clouds becomes a decoration of the sky canvas that looks so pleasing to the eye.

It was only six o'clock in the morning when someone was sitting on the balcony with a cup of coffee. A sly smile was continuously imprinted on his handsome face when he heard a report from someone through his cell phone.

The beautiful sky up there was indeed a contrast to the man's heart. If the heart could be likened to color, perhaps the man's heart would be much blacker than the night sky's darkness.

"Everything is done according to your orders. I didn't leave a trace at that location," said one man ending his lengthy report.

The man's smile grew more hideous, almost resembling a demon's grin coming out of hellfire. His handsome face is used as a sweetener for his rotten heart.

If someone saw the man's face at a glance, they would assume that the man was innocent. However, who knows how the man's heart will be?

"Good job. I'll transfer the money to your bank account after this. Don't forget the agreement we made earlier," spoke the man muttering in a terrible voice.

"Yes, Boss!"

Beep ...

The phone call ended after the man ended it unilaterally. He put the two things he held on the table beside him. Afterward, he stood staring at the photo he had taken in his trouser pocket.

It was a picture of a woman with brown hair and blue eyes. He looked at it for some time while stroking the photo's surface with his slightly rough thumb.

The more he looked at the photo, the more the flame in his heart flared up violently. He released the image from his grasp and let it slide down.

Not long after that, his feet suddenly stomped on the photo with no playful pressure as he muttered, "I've exceeded my patience limit, Celine Evergreen. Let's see who will survive till the end."
