Jasmine's Date - Part 1

Tomorrow, after a long and usual day of high school for Carmen, something weird has happened after she was about to go to the bus station. She hasn't encountered anything supernatural or strange. It was only Jasmine, her best friend… Well, her best full human friend.

A friend very dear to our protagonist, who was heavily criticized back in the middle school for her weight, bullied by boys and girls for her overweight. But now, nobody tries to harass or joke about her weight since she is not on the centre of attention like it was back then, and barely anyone knows her at school. Only Jasmine is her only friend in school and on her normal life. But she did not tell her the secret.

"Carmen. Are you going?" asks Jasmine seeing Carmen at the bus station, she is at a few feet away from her. "You want to meet at Misu's Tavern?"

Carmen seeing this offer of going out with her friend, which she has not done this in a long time, decides to go out with her best friend. The two girls are walking toward the nearest tavern frequently visited by the students of Brighton High school. Jasmine wants to go there and discuss with Carmen something important.

When they arrived in there, and placed their food order (Carmen ordered a Cesar salad and Jasmine French fries with Gordon bleu and ketchup) and drinks (two bottles of Highland Spring flavoured fruit cans pear and elderflower), Jasmine has dropped a bomb on Carmen, which she sounds pretty excited.

"I am going on a date."

Carmen and Jasmine almost scream at the same time, but they both resumed to be happy. Carmen is happy for her friend, then she asks her, sounding as enthusiastically as Jasmine.

"Who is it? Who is it?"

"It's Tyron." says Jasmine sounding happy. "Tyron Sinoski."

"Tyron?" asks Carmen sounding a bit surprised. "The boy playing on the volley ball male team."

 "Yes. Him."

"O.M.G. I am so happy for you Jas."

"Yeeeah." says Jasmine sounding excited. "Anyway, we'll go on a date tomorrow after school. Right here. At this Tavern."

 "Really?"

 "Yes."

Then, Carmen smells something fishy in here. And is not the fish at three tables away from her.

"And he will bring a friend with him." says Jasmine sounding excited.

"A friend?" asks Carmen, then she understands what Jasmine said. "Oh!"

"Yes. A double date." says Jas, then she pleads to carmen to come tomorrow on this double date.

Carmen, who was having today a day off, would have rather chosen to have this day today, not tomorrow. But carmen, having no other choice, she accepts Jasmine plan to this double date, even though she doesn't know the guy.

"And who is the friend of Tyron?"

 "Is Mark Tim." says Jasmine.

"Never heard of him." says Carmen sounding honest.

The waiter brings the water to Carmen and Jasmine, then she warns both of them to be quiet since they are a ruckus with their giggling and boys talk on this tavern. The two girls apologize for their behaviour, and continues their juicy conversation about this double date on a moderate volume speaking tone.

"The boy he is cute?" asks Carmen to her best friend.

"…Yes." says Jasmine after a moment of hesitation.

Carmen is starting to feel a little off about Jasmine response. But she has to help her since she is her best friend, and a girl like her, who was bullied a lot on her previous school because of the skin colour. Even if Carmen was bullied on her weight by the naughty kids from middle school, this thing unites those two girls to become closer, plus many other things.

When their food came in, Carmen and Jasmine have started to dig in their meals. Both of them enjoying this good cooking the chief of the Tavern made for them. Even if Camren has ordered the Cesar salad, and Jasmine has ordered the fries with Gordon bleu, it still tastes good. While Carmen was eating the salad, Jasmine asks Carmen.

 "Did you lose weight?"

"I don't think so." says Carmen looking at her thighs, who are as the same as when she got scratched by the Vewolf on that rainy night. "Why do you ask it?"

"You are eating salad. And since I know you from elementary school, you did not like to eat vegetables. What is going on?"

"I suddenly feel the urge to eat salad." lies Carmen to her bestie because the condition does not allow Carmen to eat meat whenever she wants, only in rare occasions.

"You sure you ain't trying to lose weight?"

"No." lies Carmen to her best friend.

Jasmine should not know one of the reasons she has to lose weight is to have a better physique for her upcoming fights and her future career as a supernatural hunter. The captain of her team told her at a training session to try and lose weight in order to increase the speed, the stamina and attack speed.

The girls are eating their meals and continue their chit-chat about the date tomorrow and talking about other topics such as movies and TV shows from Netflix, clothing and makeup brands that have recently appeared on their social media feeds.

Meanwhile, in the base of Team 4, Navylian, Lucian, Louis and Alexia are interrogating someone on their main room that is known by them as living room. The person who is interrogated is the same obese person from yesterday at Carmen's house. It is Al. And this person is making Louis and Alexia feel a nervous since Al is known to be a dangerous person. But Navylian and Lucian are not nervous. Not a bit.

"Nice base you've got in here." says Al, who is sitting on the couch of the room, he came here ten seconds, where he had enough time to take a look around the room. "You sure got the money to buy a base with this equipment. Like many other zones around the world."

"Cut to the chase, Al." says Navylian, standing at two meters away from him. "We want to know why you did that?"

"What I did?" asks Al. "Oh… The necromancy book, right? I just took a page from that book."

"But that page state it requires an ingredient."

      "Yes. An ingredient important."

"Carmen's fluids to be precise." says Navylain.

Then, Al is looking serious at Navylian, not as relaxed as he was.

      "How do you know that?"

"We've done research. Now tell us. What does that page mean?"

"…Well. It requires Carmen's fluids. But her Vewolf saliva, sweat and blood. Such ingredient, can guarantee the chances to bring anything back to life. Anything that is a monster and a human. But only for two nights. Then, the thing brought to life, will cease to exist. Unless it is constantly "hydrated"."

"You are bringing someone dangerous back to life?"

"Whoa, whoa." says Al sounding offended. "I just wanted to make her a birthday surprise. To bring her father back to life. That is all."

"You should not do that." says the ghost, who is taking courage to speak with Al. "Once a thing is dead, it should never be brought to life. That is the way of living. Unlike my kind… We are considered immortals. But when our time will come, we will happily embrace death."

"You should consider the tip of Lucian, Al." says Navylian to Al. "He is a ghost who lived more than any supernatural from this planet and dimension ever lived. Now. Please. Hand over the paper."

Navylian raises his hand to Al, to get the paper from him. Al, being a little hesitant at first, seeing that Navylian is serious, decides to do it. The most feared hunter, sighs and hands the paper to Navylian, who is immediately throwing into the sky, where Louis uses fire pistol. Burning the paper in the air.

"Impressive." says Al looking at Louis gun handling skills, a thing that makes Louis almost lose its focus.

"T-Thank you." stutters Louis to Al.

"Now." says Navylian. "You should consider buying a better gift for Carmen's."

"Like yeah." says Alexia all of a sudden. "How does Al know who is Carmen?"

"Huh." says Al. "Well, she is my niece."

"HUH?!" yells Alexia, Lucian and Louis, both shocked to find out that one of the most feared hunters in this planet is actually a family member to their newbie.
