Descending Dawn

Aesther felt like she was being pulled back by some mysterious force until the world around her became nothing but a blur.

When she woke up again, Aesther found herself in an unfamiliar room.

There was a large balcony outside the little room, overseeing some mountains and a lake of weeping willows. She felt like she had been dreaming about the same place for ages, and yet, it was nothing she could recall.

The lake carried water lilies of a deep red, almost like the colour of blood.

Aesther shivered, feeling a strange chill in her spine.

Her heart raced as she slowly got up from the bed and stepped outside.

The skies were serene and clear, with traces of lazy drifting clouds.

She stared off into space, her gaze far away and unfocused, as her memories whispered behind forgotten doors.
