We Can Go Now

Adjutant Myron knelt here.

He buried his head in the ground and did not move in the most humiliating manner.

It was as if he had become a frozen statue.

He forgot the passage of time.

Until the powerful footsteps approached and arrived in front of him.

He slowly raised his head and saw a pair of steel combat boots. Looking up, in front of him, a human knight stood upright and looked down at him. There was no smugness on his face.

There was only curiosity and confusion.

The human in front of him said in the Elven language, "Elves, stand up."

Myron's lips trembled. He slowly moved his stiff body. He exerted strength with both hands and leaned on the white flag. He slowly straightened his knees and got up.

Cleveland did not reach out to help. He just watched.
