'And... Finally...'
An entire world laid before the gaze of a young man.
An icy archipelago in the north, a mountainous continent in the east, a dark abyss in the south, an expansive jungle in the west, floating islands to the southwest, and a large, solitary island in the center.
And, of course, these were just the regions visible on the surface.
If someone were to wander this land, they would see that each region was alive and unique. Natives lived and participated in their culture, strange creatures hunted and frolicked through the landscape, and wondrous plants bloomed and withered.
Each region was made with painstaking effort. Every animal and plant was imagined into life by 'Him', and every region's exclusive culture, lifestyle, and history were created by 'Him'. This beautifully complicated world that was no different from reality was all done by 'Him'.
'He', alone, was the God of this world.
The young man looked at the world 'He' had created. 'He' looked at the vague blobs of color that he could see, and the detailed, wonderful world that 'He' could perceive in his imagination.
'... There's something missing.'
'He' turned his gaze towards the island in the center.
Every region had something that made it stand out, whether it was their technology, flora, fauna, or geography.
That is, every region but this one.
'He' thought for a moment. What else could 'He' put into this world?
Turning to the sky in contemplation, 'He' blinked and stared blankly at the relative plainness of it in comparison to the bustling earth.
In the sky, other than the sun and some clouds, there was nothing else. Even the blue color was monotonous and boring. In fact, did 'He' even remember to create the moon and stars?
It was apparent that, compared to the meticulousness and effort 'He' took to create the earth and its inhabitants, 'He' had practically ignored the sky.
Towards this unconscious behavior, 'He' could only laugh in self-deprecation.
'He' remembered the time when 'His' gaze was always pointed towards the sky, single-mindedly pursuing 'His' dreams while ignoring everything else.
Now, an uncomfortable feeling always welled up in his heart whenever he looked at it.
'Anyways, it is a little too late to add those in now. I don't have much time left.'
After staring at the sky for a while, 'He' turned 'His' gaze back towards the central island and zoomed in.
The grass below 'His' feet was soft and green. Luscious trees swayed in the wind and a teasing breeze brushed by 'His' ear.
A herd of deer were grazing on the grass near where 'He' landed. Sensing his presence, and, perhaps knowing that 'He' was their creator, they meandered up to 'Him' and stayed by 'His' side.
Even though the wind rustled the leaves on the trees, even though the deer played beside 'Him', and even though everything was alive...
'He' could not hear, feel, smell, or touch any of it. The only sense available to 'Him', sight, was also unclear and murky.
That was 'His' perception of this world.
Gazing at the empty expanse in front of 'Him', 'He' fought through 'His' pounding headache, constant pain, and ever increasing exhaustion to once again create.
'One last time... one last thing until everything is finished!'
'He' commanded the world and thought:
[A great, towering willow tree resides in the center of the world. Its branches stretch across the sky, protecting the earth from the sun's harsh rays. At night, its fruits glow and replace the moon's light, providing light in the darkness for the world's inhabitants. Its branches house the phoenixes and its roots house the dragons. Together, the phoenixes and dragons protect this great tree, the World Tree.]
The second 'He' finished, the ground trembled.
The deer fled and the winds churned. Mountains collapsed in the distance and the sky shook.
The world was responding to 'His' will.
Finally, the ground ruptured and the trunk of a tree rapidly shot towards the sky. All across the world, branches could be seen spreading through the air and ginormous leaves sprouted from these branches. Finally, in the blink of an eye, by 'His' will, the World Tree was born.
Its branches embraced the world and gently swayed. The earth was overturned and shifted by its burrowing roots, creating great mountains and valleys. The tree itself shone with a faint light that was not irritating to the eye and could bring all organisms a great sense of peace.
Looking at the great tree that was born from 'His' imagination in satisfaction, 'He' flew back up into the sky and looked at the finished product in pride.
Even though 'He' had wanted to add something to the sky, the best 'He' could do right now was cover it up.
'Now... this world is complete.'
Bzzz!
Out of nowhere, the world seemed to distort and glitch before 'His' eyes, restoring itself a moment later.
Even though it was just an instant, 'He' knew that it was not a hallucination.
'He' was not surprised, after all, 'He' had already predicted that 'His' time was almost up.
Glancing at the screen 'He' had been ignoring all this time, 'He' skipped all the alarms and arrived at the very bottom.
Even though 'He' could no longer see what was written on the screen clearly, 'He' did not need to see it to know what it said.
[Time: 7:01:06:14:22]
The time 'He' had spent in this world was: 7 years, 1 month, 6 days, 14 hours, 22 minutes.
The last time 'He' slept was also 7 years ago.
'So quickly...? Even though I sacrificed all my other senses just to keep this one... Was seven years all that I could extend it for?'
Ping!
Suddenly, a new alarm popped up.
[Alert! Alert! Master's mind has entered a critical state due to prolonged exhaustion and deterioration caused by 'Equalizer'! Your spirit degradation has entered Stage 6! According to the 'Divenet Safety Guide', please immediately exit your Divepod and call an ambulance! Please immediately exit your pod and call an ambulance!]
A piercing pain suddenly flashed across 'His' mind.
Even though 'He' had already become accustomed to pain, this time, it almost directly knocked 'Him' unconscious.
Ping!
[Master!]
Ping! Ping!
Facing the rapidly growing pain and 'His' blackening vision, 'His' will wavered when 'He' thought of 'His' finished world.
'Perhaps... Since I finally finished...'
Perhaps, this time, 'He' could allow 'himself' to get some rest?
With that thought, even though 'He' knew that everything would change if 'He' slept now, 'His' tight leash 'He' kept on 'His' consciousness loosened.
Ping! Ping!
'I really... wanted to give this world a story.'
Ignoring the alarms, 'He' finally lost the battle against 'His' desires and closed 'His' eyes.

Black water gurgled ominously as it flowed through a deep chasm. Twisting and turning, they merged with a thousand other strands and ran deeper until they formed a roaring black river. The black river continued to stretch for hundreds of thousands of miles before it reached a yawning, sinister abyss with a radius of more than 50 kilometers. The river fell straight into the abyss, creating a ginormous black waterfall.
This black waterfall was one of the four [Black Falls] of the [Dark Abyss].
At an unknown point along the wall of the abyss, a cavern is hidden behind the black waterfall. Screams of terror, agony, and despair could be heard resounding off the walls of the cavern and not even the roaring of the black waterfall could silence them. Just by standing at the entrance, the shifting shadows and putrid smell of rotting and burning flesh was capable of making even the bravest men flee with their tails between their legs.
This was the place where the world's most unforgivable criminals were brought.
[Black Abyss Prison]
Within the caverns, the air was unbearable and every surface was hot enough to cook flesh at a touch. The cavern possesses the power to suppress energy, and without their supernatural powers, inmates are forced to run from the monsters within and burn their flesh beyond repair. They were never to rest and suffered in agony until the day they succumbed to death.
At the depths of the prison was a mangled and rotting corpse. From the body alone, one could barely tell that it was once human. It could be seen that this person had not died peacefully because, even in death, their corpse was frozen in an eternal scream. Barbed nails designed to keep the prisoner awake were used to pin the body to the wall, causing the corpse's back to be completely cooked through. Its body was ripped apart, many organs were missing and the corpse's face was completely disfigured. Chunks of rotting flesh and old blood surrounded the corpse, and gore coated the chains binding it.
It could be seen that this miserable person has been dead for a while, but a miraculous scene happened.
If anyone were there, they would have seen every injury on the corpse reverse at a rapid speed: every damaged piece of flesh fell off and was replaced, every missing organ was regenerated, and every nail was pushed out and caused the body to no longer be pinned to the wall. Soon, the corpse's miserable appearance returned to a state of complete health, making the person seem as if they were just sleeping.
By looking at the tall, strong, and lean body, it could be imagined that this body would wake up any second. However, the body continued to stay in a lax state and slump in its chains.
It was almost as if it was waiting for something.
Additionally, what was strange is that, even when the rest of its body regenerated in perfect condition, its face was completely blank. Monsters that pass by would initially be attracted to it, but would freeze as soon as they approach and walk away with a dazed look in their eyes.
It was unknown exactly how long the body stayed in that state, however, on this day, the flesh on the body's face squirmed and formed into a man's face. The man's face was elegant in a scholarly way and possessed a masculine charm. His long black hair covered his face, and they slightly shook when the corpse took its first breath.
In this place of torture, death, and agony, 'He' once again breathed.
