Chapter 7: Hey pretty stranger

SAMARAH'S POV-

I ran backstage as soon as I was done and hopped into my car.

It was almost dusk and I had left at about ten in the morning. God! I had been gone for nearly six hours.I felt terrible for leaving Kendall and Miranda alone for so long.

I pulled into the Mc Donald's drive through to get a peace offering.

After the familiar campus came into view, I parked my car in the college parking area.' Nice', I thought while glancing at my black, brand new Honda CR-V before rushing to my friends.

However, as soon as I stepped on my floor I crashed into someone. Staggering a few steps back, I had almost managed to drop my Mc Donald's when a hand caught the brown paper bag. It was veiny.

'I like what I see.', I thought inwardly and lifted my head up to see who the hand belonged to.

The sight I saw left me breathless.

Dark black hair and eyes on a perfectly sculpted face with high cheekbones and almost porcelain doll- like skin and taught muscles ever so slightly flexing under his tight black t-shirt.

Before my eyes could wander further down, I was caught off guard by a rough cough.

'Hmmhph... here', he said while extending a hand towards me."Oh! My food.",I said taking the packet from him. Before I could even thank him, he hurried down the flight of stairs.

Then it hit me.

What the hell was such a roughishly handsome guy doing in the girl's hostel. Probably someone's boyfriend. Well, that explains his flighty behaviour.

I gathered myself quickly as his face flashed before me in my mind and I felt the wind being knocked out of my lungs.

Yeah! Some good looking dude it was.

I shrugged it off as I reached my dorm and threw open the door. I gently tapped on Miranda's shoulder as I caught her dozing off on a chair beside Kendall.

Her eyes widened as she caught me gesturing towards the food in my hand. She leaped up out of her chair and hugged me as she whispered," You are a life saviour. I have never wanted to use the washroom more urgently. Meanwhile, Kendall has been stirring in her sleep ever since a few minutes now, so I figured I would just hold it till she woke up but boy was I wrong."

She placed two pills in my hand saying," Give these to her after she wakes up.", as she rushed off to the washroom. And soon enough after a few minutes, Kendall's eyes fluttered open.

"Hey", I said to her with a soft voice.

KENDALL'S POV -

Everything turned to slow motion as I fell on the door and saw Samarah's fear stricken face.

Hopping in and out of conciousness, I could feel being lifted onto a bed.Miranda and Samarah's worried voices formed incoherent words in my ears. Then my heavy eyelids closed on their own account as I fought a useless battle to keep them open.

From then onwards I was only able to feel...

I felt her light coursing through my body as fingers brushed across my forehead. I felt her gentle presence around, nursing me, protecting me and slowly nudging me awake.

I, on the other hand was definitely not ready to wake up.I wanted to bask in the feeling of having found her. I wanted to feel I was closer to reach my goals.

If not in reality then at least here, in my mind.

Then reality came flooding back to me. I had found her before I fainted.

And just as suddenly, the light began to leave my presence. I struggled to open my eyes.

I couldn't lose her just after figuring out who she was.

But the light was fading fast. I had to do something. I couldn't just let her go.

And then my eyes finally fluttered open. Relief came over me as I found her here, right by me. Luce Mia was here, right by me. Had been for a long time now.

"Hey", Samarah's gentle voice filled my ears.

MIRANDA'S POV -

As soon as I got out of the washroom, the sight I saw left me relieved. Kendall had finally woken up and was now intently staring at Samarah, who too gazed back at her.

I concluded that Kendall was still trying to process what had happened to her.

"Are you feeling better now?", my voice came our softer than the looks they were exchanging.

Kendall smiled as she said,"Yes quite good actually.", her gaze still fixed on Samarah.

'Weird', I thought.

But after hearing her words my and Samarah's tense form relaxed.

Finally Kendall tore her gaze off Samarah as she said," Can I have some water?"

I rushed back with a flask of warm water for Kendall as Samarah gave her the pills.

The rest of the evening passed uneventfully as the three of us ate Mc Donald's and chatted away, occasionally talking about the events that occurred after Kendall's blackout.

"What on earth you called the dean!!??!!", Kendall gasped as her eyes went wide.

Samarah protested saying," Hey I was already panicking and while figuring my way to the nurse's office, I found him and I went like,"Dude you gotta help me!".

Kendall chimed in,"Wait, you called him dude for real?" almost surprised. Samarah, meanwhile, quickly defended," I was already panicking and that was the first thing that came to my mind."

Kendall and both looked at each other for a second before breaking in a fit of laughter.

After the both of us had composed ourselves with the help of a few glares from Samarah, which Kendall quickly brushed off with a fake yawn saying,' Yeah I am getting quite sleepy. I think I am gonna crash early."

I leapt to my bed from Samarah's, where all of us were seated on a minute prior and replied," Me too. Goodnight guys." Thus leaving Samarah to switch off the lights
