Chapter 31: Bonded

KENDALL'S POV -

I cradled Ken's head in my arms. I couldn't bring myself to leave him. With a weak grip, he pulled on my t-shirt, pointing a lone finger to the fight behind me.

Blood sputtered out of his mouth and I couldn't care less about the world around me. Tearfully, I pressed softly on his wounds to stop the bleeding and shushed him so, that no more blood came out of his mouth.

Then his eyes widened and out of instinct I covered his body with mine. Thank God I had good reflexes because the next moment I heard murderous screams and the falling of two bodies on the floor.

Slowly, I turned out to survey the damage behind me. The entire room was in shambles and everyone was either knocked out or lying down on the floor.

"K..Ken......dalll", Ken rasped out.

Quickly tearing a piece of cloth, I wrapped it on Ken's wounds and ran over to Damon. He uttered a single word," Blood.". Lifting up my sleeves, I quickly thrust my wrists to his lips as he painfully tore into my flesh. After what felt like three to five large gulps, he left me while I almost feared that my wrists would be out of blood by the time he ended.

Damon quickly stood up, straightening himself as if he wasn't on the brink of death a few seconds ago. I really hated vampires because of this awesome....

Wait a second! Wasn't Ken part vampire?!!!

A lightbulb turned on in my head and I rushed over to Ken. He was barely breathing. I was about to offer my wrists but I feared that Damon hadn't left much in them. So, I opted for my neck instead, as the veins there are easier to find and bent down only to shudder back as Ken's lips touched my skin instead of his fangs.

His strained voice replied," Can't....it's too much...". I hoarsely cut him off," Shut the fuck up and drink." Then his fangs punctured my skin and the precious warm liquid left my body to enter his. Slowly reviving him.

However, the pain which I usually felt was not present for a long time. It was for mere seconds before a different feeling took over me. I fell desire pool into my belly as my eyes closed on their own behalf. Thank God, the blood loss had taken me before the other thing did.

3rd person POV -

Damon and Ken revived their lost strength from Kendall's blood immediately, getting on their feet. They placed Miranda and Samarah in Miranda's room and Kendall in her room. After cleaning up as much as they could, they made sure that no one from their little village, entered this safe haven except for their staff.

DAMON'S POV -

I watched both the girls lay with their eyes closed in a bed. Samarah sometimes stirred in her unconscious state. But what bothered me much more was the different ways in which her face contorted.

She looked as if in pain but the bond in my heart was tediously healing. On the other hand, Miranda seemed to glow...her usual golden colour but alongwith a few tinges of black as well. Her expression serene, she really looked like a Goddess.

I would forever be indebted to her for returning my love to me. But why did my love seem to be in so much internal conflict? I could constantly feel her ache on being here. Was she not happy to be alive?

KENDALL 'S POV -

I tried to lift my heavy eyelids open and blinked a few times to get rid of the blurriness. I felt a ragged breath come out of my mouth and my face felt hot.

A familiar ache settled in my lower abdomen as I tried to recall the previous events to find out the cause of this weird...horniness?

I still felt a little weak and remembered the previous events as my gaze fell into the puncture marks on my wrist and on my neck, right near the collarbone. Was that the reason I was feeling this?

But vampire bites aren't supposed to feel like this.....unless feelings are involved?!!!!

OMGSH!!!!

Does Ken have feelings for me?!!!

The air left my lungs as I watched the bathroom door open and Ken's head peeked out.
