Chapter 41: Everywhere

MIRANDA 'S POV -

"So you want to be difficult then. Fine." One of his hands slowly travelled down to my waist and goosebumps appeared on my skin out of fear and anticipation.

But WTF was I even anticipating? Death? If I hadn't gone insane previously then I was surely going now.

Within a jiffy, we were in my room in the previous position with me facing away from him. He growled lowly.

The hairs on my neck stood up.

Then he darkly commented," There aren't any guards here unlike my room. No one can help you now." Trying to fake confidence, I said ," As if you can even do anything." His eyes widened so much that they looked as if they were going to pop out of his sockets. Stupid mouth.

He turned me to face anything. His expression was wild with dishevelled hair and slightly parted mouth. It made me want to go wild.

STOP, I mentally screamed at myself to stop fetishising my probable murderer further. He then came closer to me as I squirmed trying to get away. I tried to face away from him but he held my chin tightly, forcing me to face him.

I tried to release myself for the next few minutes albeit miserably failing at my task while he gazed at me with unmasked curiosity. He then gasped," Your blood.....it is not special. Although masked to hide it's true extent but the raw thrumming power in it....is something I ever came across."

He pushed himself more into me as my breath got stuck in my throat. "What are you? Why are you so alluring?", his husky voice breathed out.

Sirens went off in my brain at that but I felt out of strength and exhausted with him completely towering me and pinning me down. I heard the door click open and his head whipped towards it as I took my chance and tackled him to the floor in panic.

Then in a flash, I felt an orb of light materialize from my hand and shoot towards him, knocking him out. I heard Ken gasp," WTH on earth happened? Nevermind, explain it on the way. We got to leave right away; there's no time."

"Good to know." , I shot back as Ken grasped my hand and dragged me out of the room, leaving behind a hopefully unconscious and undead king inside.

We did not stop running till we were out of the mansion. I guessed that we had exited through the backdoor as instead of the little scattered houses I could only see miles and miles of forest stretching ahead of me. Then I saw a vehicle parked at a remote corner.

Ken tightened his grip on me and increased his pace leaving me to nearly fall as I struggled to catch up with him. Soon the whispers started in my head. Most of the things were unintelligible except for the words," Don't go yet."

With a shove, I went crashing into the middle seat of the familiar black SUV. I panted heavily trying to force as much oxygen into my lungs as I could. After recovering a few seconds later, I took in the scene before me as the car began to move.

Damon drove the car while Samarah sat on the front passenger seat followed by Ken, Kendall and me to the left. The heavens knew how much thankful I was for the window seat.

But what was going on. Kendall spoke up reading my confused look," Buckle in. It's a long story."

KENDALL 'S POV -

I began to explain to Miranda when I had unveiled it all to Ken," Yesterday..soon after Damon had been summoned to leave, he had come to my room." I took a brief pause as Ken raised his eyebrows quizically. I continued," He said that the king sending him away was not a good sign. It meant that he either knew about Luce Mia or about Samarah being a powerful mixedblood."

"Powerful? You mean she is even more powerful than usual mixedbloods?" , Miranda asked as I shot her a 'duh' look.

Then I revealed the worrisome part, "Her being more powerful than normal means that at least one of her parents were royals and that could stir up some major shit. Most importantly, whoever raised her knows about her real identity as she has been kept on drugs to keep her powers null and her actual scent hidden. As according to her records, her adoptive parents had died long ago."

"Is it possible that whoever her caretaker is will sell us out?", Miranda asked alarmed. I frowningly answered, " We can't be sure about that. So, Damon devised this plan for all of us to flee to my mother's pack."

"And your mother agreed?", Miranda quipped again. I answered annoyedly," I was getting to that . I went over to her to discuss the matter. She agreed to help us out immediately."

Miranda's eyes turned into saucers ," You went there?!? Isn't it at least 2000-3000 kms from here?" " Yeah, I had to. I couldn't risk us being discovered by the undead king due to a single call. So Damon and I travelled with my werewolf badass guardian speed ."

"What if your mother had refused to help us? Wouldn't this have been too risky then?" I rolled my eyes and said," First of all she won't refuse me in such a dire situation and secondly, she has always supported the cause of Luce Mia." Miranda let out a long exhale.

Ken huffed," Good for her since she she just knocked out the king. The fact that he's still undead makes all this a whole lot worse for us. Now his whole clan is going to thirst for our blood. But gotta admit, she looked quite badass just flinging him to the floor like a ragdoll."

" She did what now?", I screeched loudly as Miranda snored loudly. I hope things wouldn't get too complicated for my pack as they would be housing the half assed murderers of the undead crown.

Sometime later-

3rd person's POV -

After driving for almost a whole day, the group was more than exhausted. Their energy was setting like the setting Sun.

The black SUV stopped at a seemingly small settlement. Five people emerged from behind the tinted windows . Two buff looking men blindfolded each one of them except Kendall, who shot daggers at the men. " Is this really necessary Jared?" , Kendall sneered at one of them contorting her doll like features. The man with identical buzz cuts and black t shirts merely shrugged.

After trudging through a seemingly wasteland, the blindfolds were ripped open each one of them as they came to a halt. What stood before them looked like America's suburbs where the elites resided.

A welcome sign lay ahead of them which read," Everywhere." The guards led them though a complicated series of twists and turns on golf carts before finally stopping in front of a magnificent villa.

A young woman met them at the entrance, who led them to an office on the second floor.
