HER NET OF DOUBT

Barrister Martins owned his own chamber. It was located on the Island. However, since the death of his mother, he had temporarily opened an office near the central market of our town.

It wasn't really hard locating his new office. It was not far from Grace Orphanage. In my opinion, it was all a part of Barrister Martins' plans.

"Please, have your seat Miss Allyson", Barrister Martins said.

"It's a nice place you have here", I said as I sat down.

"This? No pls. You don't have to flatter me. It's just a temporary hideout, only that we're not wanted criminals"

Barrister Martins sure had a cool and spontaneous sense of humor. He also looked like the type that was a nerd in school but also one of the cool kids.

"Please meet my longtime friend, Miss Deborah", Barrister Martins introduced me to the fine young lady on my right.

"It's Detective Debbie pls", she corrected.

"Hello ma.....miss. Sorry, Detective Deborah", I stammered.
