Lone wolf

High school life is supposed to be full of fun, more learnings, more good friends and probably meaningful relationships.

As I glance at the group of senior high students, I concluded that they are in that happy state of high school life. They're my classmates, most of them go by a group. And me on the other hand does not belong to any of them. I tried to blend in in my previous days, but I was always left behind, out of place like I have this smell that made them hate me.

I am not the loser type, in fact my IQ is above average and most of my ex-friends took advantage of it. I made assignments for them until one day I realized they're abusing my ability. I stopped being their worker and that's when they start torturing me verbally. Then, just I stopped going with them. I can stand on my own. That is my advantage. While them, I really don't know what they will become one day.

"Oh! The lone wolf is out there!" Diana Walker called out. She spotted me sitting behind a tree.

She doesn't scare me so I ignored her. Unfortunately, this girl has ill intention for me. I sensed her footstep approaching to where I was seated.

"I've been looking for you all morning, lone wolf,"she said as her footstep halted right infront of me. And she's not alone. Of course, she's too popular not to have minions.

"The last time I check, we're not friends anymore Diana." I knew that my voice irritates her to the core.

She sniggers and clicks her tongue. "Well, I knew that right. I don't even want to see you ever. But my dad and your aunt could not reach you, so here I am."

And oh I forgot to share this awful connection with her. My aunt married her dad, so technically we're like sisters or cousins. At first I did like her to be my sister but I've found out she's been backstabbing me so I decided to just ignore her even at the house. But Diana wanted chaos inside the family. There's always a lecture for me before dinner and a warning from my aunt before going to school.

"What did you tell her this time, Diana? I stand in my full height, she stepped backwards. I knew I intimidate her.

"You think you can scare me with your five and six height?"she said, voice breaking. She's five and four but me being taller than her was not the reason why she's afraid. She perfectly knew that I can beat her. If not for my aunt, I already give her the punch that she deserved a long time ago.

"Just tell me what they want." I stared at her neck only to be surprised. She's wearing the only thing that my mother had left me. Well, that was according to my aunt. That necklace belongs to me! She can have the chain, but the pendant, a ring, is mine.

"Your aunt has received a letter from your hometown. My guess-"

"I don't care about what you think. And Diana," leaning closing on her, I continue,"never ever took things from me again." Then my hand grabbed my necklace and showed it to her. "This belongs to me."
