The Danger

Draven woke up from his deep slumber and the constant ringing of his phone made him realize that was a Dream. He let out a frustrating sigh.

He picked up the phone. It was his left-hand man Alex's call. It was 5:00 am of morning and he didn't understand what was so urgent that he called in such early morning.

'What'? Draven couldn't help but ask angrily.

"Sorry to disturb you Your Highness, but it was very urgent". Alex tried his best to stay calm but his trembling voice betrayed him.

Draven quite enjoyed his effect on others. The way people were scared of him, gave him a different type of thrill and satisfaction.

"What's the matter"? He asked again.

"Your Highness, I followed Anthony in the Ancient Lizard Wood forest. With the help of Bloodhound, we found a hidden underground passage. Anthony must be inside. We also found an old dead body of a female with an almost unrecognizable black cloak and a dagger". He replied

"Then why are you calling me. You should call the police".....Draven said in anger.

"Your Highness, I have already called the police. They will be here within five minutes. But there is something weird about the dagger. At the hilt of the dagger, there is a symbol of Sullivan's The dagger looked quite rustic but the sign 'S' is still clearly visible". I thought I should inform you first ...Alex told them as matter of fact.

Draven frozed for a minute. He knew what 'S' represents. It was the sign of their Sullivan family. This word represents the identity of every single member of the Sullivan family. There are already countless hidden enemies of the Sullivan family. Don't know who was trying to frame them.

"Immediately inform about this my father and big brothers. I will be there within a few minutes ". He replied hastily.

After disconnecting his call he immediately called Robert.

"Your Highness ".... Robert's voice came from the other side of the call.

"Where is that Jacob guy" ...Draven asked.

"In the basement of the mansion".....he replied.

"You get there immediately, I'm coming". With that, he disconnected the call.

Draven felt there must be some indirect connection between that Jacob and the dead body. That's why he first wanted to question Jacob before going there.

After getting ready he reached the basement where he found Robert and chained Jacob.

"Do you know where the underground passage leads?" Draven asked simply without wasting any time. Step by step he made his way towards him and sat on the chair.

He didn't need to say about which underground passage. Jacob already knew what he was talking about.

"Do you know about the dead body? Do you know who the murderer is? Do you have any connection between the deceased"? Draven asked three questions in one go.

Jacob's body was frozen hearing his questions.

He recalled the night seventeen years ago. Every scene and the pain he felt through his frail body at that time. He remembered how that maid slashed his whole body with a sharp stone. He was whimpering in pain. He was just a one-year-old pup at that time. He missed his parents dearly so he went to their grave to visit them. but he got himself lost in dense forest. Then he saw that maid with a baby in her arms. He thought humans and the supernaturals were now living together so maybe that human could help him. As he made his way toward her. She was lost in thoughts and tears were streaming down her eyes. After a minute she immediately put the baby under the tree and picked him up. With a sharp stone, she slashed him again and again until his and her whole body were covered with blood. He was about to lose consciousness. After she left he tried his best to get up and hide himself in nearby bushes. Through his blurry vision, he saw a large woman wearing all black. She was dragging the same maid's body behind. He was shocked and scared. He saw her burying the maid and after that, he lost consciousness. When he opened his eyes again he saw two kindhearted old couples. They both were lovingly looking at the abandoned baby. And that baby was now his little sister who saved him.

He later pleaded with them to take him with them because he had nowhere to go. They became his dear family forever.

From family, he remembered that he didn't visit them as promised yesterday. They must be worried especially lavender.

Yesterday on his way to visit them he went there but suddenly everything gets black in front of him and he lost consciousness. Later he realized he was kidnapped by none other than the famous Draven Sullivan.

He didn't know the reason but now he knew. But he still was not very sure. Because his men had been following him the past few months and every time he fooled them. But this time he directly kidnapped him and asked these questions which made him puzzled.

Draven saw his long silence and his conflicting thoughts. He didn't miss his body reaction which trembled suddenly as if he had recalled something very painful experience. But his silence also made him feel sure that he knew something about a dead body.

"Robert take him with us. We are going to the forest." Then he looked at Jacob and said "Today you have to answer every question and also about the owner of that painting".

Jacob froze in his tracks. He angrily looked toward him as if he was saying he will never tell him about the painting.

Draven just chuckled at his reaction and left.

On the way to the forest, Draven suddenly had a very bad premonition in his heart. He opened his shirt button and ran his hands through his hair frustratingly. His lycan was getting restless as someone dear to them was in danger. He called his mother asking if everything was ok. After confirming there was nothing wrong with his side he had a sigh of relief. but that bad filling was still there.

Draven's premonition surely was true.

Yesterday when Lavender suddenly lost consciousness both Joseph and Emily were extremely worried. They called Jacob so that he could somehow bring a doctor with him. But he didn't answer their call. So, they waited for him the whole night but still, there was no news from him. They became more worried as Lavender didn't regain consciousness since morning. There was still no sign of waking up. So the next morning Joseph decided that he would bring the doctor himself. For safety, he always kept a gun with him. Which was his very old habit. He never let lavender see his gun. Because he didn't want to taint his baby granddaughter with blood.

As he reached the entrance of the passage he frowned when he smelled a very strong smell of blood. He vigilantly looked at his surroundings. It was very quiet that one can hear every footstep clearly from afar. Suddenly he felt a sharp pain throughout his whole body.

He stiffly turned his neck and saw an enchanting and seductive man with red eyes filled with madness. His mouth was wide open and two sharp teeth from both sides were smeared with blood as he was eating raw Deer. And with his other hand, he shot a small needle again towards him which luckily he avoided. But the earlier needle which maybe was smeared with body paralyzing poison started reacting in his body. With his remaining willpower, Joseph fired a shot toward that man. But his body betrayed him and he missed the shot. Now, his body was completely paralyzed. With his open eyes, he looked at the weird beast in front of him.

The enchanting man came towards him and smelled him carefully and said," Such an addicting scent. Old hag tell me where are you coming from. The fragrance of lavender on you is so sweet and appetizing then the blood of that person must be tastier". He asked while obsessively smelling him again and again.

When he saw Joseph didn't answer he was completely raged. The madness in his eyes was increasing and he didn't seem to notice that it was the poison that made him(Joseph) unable to speak. But with a Beastly howl, he bites Joseph almost half part of his neck.

He didn't seem to like the taste of his blood and spit out everything.

"Your blood is so smelly," he said and left from there happily munching the remaining deer's meat.

As he followed the trail of scent he reached the cottage. Where he saw small furry animals resting peacefully. Enjoying the morning scenery.

The enchanting man smelled the same sweet scent on every single animal. So he started eating every single of them. But their blood wasn't sweet enough for him. He massacred all the remaining animals but then his attention turned towards the richest source of scent...The cottage.

Granny Emily heard the painful cry of animals and the strong smell of blood made her alert.

She quickly walked into lavender's room. With a light kiss on her forehead and eyes full of love for a moment, she kept looking at her. As she was trying to remember every feature of lavender's face. After a while, she left the room.

She took a gun and made her way downstairs where she saw a seductive man with fangs-like teeth and red eyes wandering here and there in the house and smelling every single thing obsessively.

Without wasting any time she fired a shot toward him but he also felt danger and successfully dodged the bullet.

With an inhumane speed, he ran towards her and the fresh sweet scent on her body made him howl with happiness.

He bite down her neck also but again the taste of her blood made him throw her down from upstairs.

He started throwing everything to find the source of the scent. Suddenly the door of the lavender room opened due to his strong force of throwing things. He immediately opened the door and saw a fairy sleeping on the bed. The sweet scent of her body made him so happy. He looked completely intoxicated that he didn't notice the half-injured granny who was behind him. She throw an unknown pink liquid at him and he started howling in pain. In anger, he ripped apart her body. But the smell of liquid overpowered his senses and he lost his consciousness.

In her last moments of life, Granny Emily was still worried about her granddaughter's safety because the liquid she had thrown at the beast can only work for one hour.

With a heart filled with endless regret she died.

Once beautiful and the warm scenery around and in the surrounding cottage was now dyed with crimson color. Whole forest was quite. The rising sun's orange rays made the bloody scene look more tragic.
