Funeral

The morning was cold and wet with a brisk wind sweeping the rain across the land. The pitter-patter of raindrops falling on the ground brought lavender out of her trance. She felt a slight pain in her heart. The feeling of losing something very precious was the first time she felt it. Standing in front of the casket of her dear grandparents lavender felt like her world was spinning.

The only thing at this time in her mind was that ''they left her forever''. She will never see them again. Will never be able to talk to them again. Two days ago they were with her. Their little world was full of happiness. Her grandma was baking her favorite pancakes, grandpa was painting and she was eagerly waiting for her brother. But now here she was standing in front of their lifeless body. The hollowed-out eyes of her brother didn't give her any comfort. She felt empty inside her. Unknowingly tears started pouring out of her eyes.

Draven stands beside her holding a black umbrella giving her silent comfort. Her tears were like a knife to him piercing his heart thoroughly again and again. But he can't do anything. He can only see her crying. Her doe-like blue eyes were red and swollen. How desperately he wanted to hug her and give her comfort but he also didn't want to scare her by showing sudden intimacy.

On such a gloomy day, the atmosphere inside the cemetery was colder than outside.

Along with some Sullivan family members some other VIPS were also present. They all were curious about Draven's mate. They heard about their king had found his mate and were eager to meet her but noticing the depressing atmosphere they restrained themselves. Curiosity killed the cat and they don't want to get killed by a lycan.

After burying the casket, wearing black dress lavender put down the bouquet of white lily flowers on their grave. Because of crying for a long time, her doe-like eyes were swollen from hours of crying. Her fragile self was shivering due to the cold weather. But she was feeling hot all over her body. Her face was abnormally pale. But to her, nothing was more painful than this parting. She felt empty inside. Her emotional understanding was not very good but she was mature enough to understand that they were gone Forever.....

Thinking about all those moments she spends with them. She felt like crying again but there were no tears in her dry eyes. She walked towards Jacob who was motionlessly standing alone.

"Brother" her soft voice sounded bringing some life to Jacob's empty eyes. He looked down at his petite sister. Her eyes were full of dependence as she looked at him. Jacob crouched down at her level and opened his arms inviting her for a hug. She immediately hugged him tightly like a small fragile injured animal trying to find a warm place to comfort her injuries.

Draven felt sour. But he knew for now he was like a stranger to her as compared to Jacob. But he swore to himself this will be the last time that he let another man touch her. Clenching his fists tightly eyes filled with anger it was hard for him to control himself. Telling himself again and again that she was his sister. He should be a little tolerant. After a few minutes, he couldn't take it anymore and made his way toward the tightly hugging siblings.

" you are burning from fever princess" Jacob exclaimed when he felt her hot breath against his neck. Anger was replaced with worry when Draven noticed her pale face and tightly shut eyes. She looked so weak as a slight force will break her. He immediately took her out of Jacob's embrace and hugged her.

''You take care of the remaining things, I will look after her '' he said to Jacob. without waiting for his response with large strides, he made his way toward the car. Gave a slight nod to his father who also nodded in response and signaled him to go. Rows of luxury cars and bodyguards followed him behind.

Inside the car, Draven hugged her. Worry-filled eyes looked at his fragile princess who was currently looking in discomfort as a frown ceased on her forehead. He noticed her discomfort and tried to comfort her by slightly patting her head. Lavender found a comfortable position in his embrace. Their pose was quite ambiguous but at this moment Draven could care less about this. His whole attention was on his princess who was now in deep sleep. He carefully looked at her. Her long black eyelashes, her pouty pink lips, her cheeks with some baby fat on them. She was so adorable. Her immature facial features proved that she definitely will be a mesmerizing beauty in the future.

Hearing her steady breathing Draven let out a sigh of relief.

No one noticed a figure draped in a black dress whose eyes followed every move of the people present there. The figure also quietly followed behind Draven's car keeping a safe distance from them. Her face looked calm but her eyes filled with worry and confusion. There was also some doubt in her eyes. Because she don't know why she followed behind them but her instinct told her. The voice in her head sounds again and again convincing her to follow them. But why? She didn't know. And she unknowingly started following them. After a few minutes as if she realized something she stopped in her tracks. Giving a deep look towards luxurious rows of cars she returned.

Even though the figure was keeping a safe distance from them Draven still felt her presence. He didn't feel any malicious intent toward them so he simply ignored her. His calm eyes looked outside. The rain was getting heavier with time. To him, the weather looked quite abnormal. His instincts and senses were very sharp he felt this abnormality long ago he also knew this phenomenon must have some relation with his princess. Well, she is quite special. He thought and chuckled lightly.

"No matter who you are but you are mine" he murmured lightly as his eyes filled with strong possessiveness. He hugged her tighter as he want to reassure himself that he finally found her.
