I Am A Pureblood Vampire

I had just finished making my sandwich as Gary walked into the kitchen, he seemed anxious to see me, as if he wasn’t sure what to say.

"Hi," I said trying to be polite. Gary can be like Dad in many ways, if I started negative it would only end in a row, so I tried to stay calm and polite.

"Hi?" he replied, slightly returning; he walked over to the refrigerator suspicious of me.

"How's the study?" I asked to hope that my bad technique would dispel his suspicion. "Good," he replied as he took a fresh bag of blood from the refrigerator, he wasn't fooled by my questions he knew there was something, there was no point in trying to read his mind, we both successfully blocked the thoughts only of each other when we wanted a private conversation we blocked it.
