Chapter 12

Joana cried after hanging up the phone. Her tears continued to stream down her face. She covered her entire face because she feared someone would see her sad face.

Sure enough, Hilda saw Joana sobbing next to the phone, looking tormented by what she was going through. But she was just a servant. What can she really do?

Joana's cry was also seen by Jeremy from the screen of his cellphone. The surveillance cameras in the villa could be linked to his cell phone, so he could see whatever was happening inside.

Seeing her cry made his heart feel like it was being squeezed. Is this all he can give? Tears?

"Excuse me, sir, so you signed the letter?" suddenly, a manager asking for an autograph for a file startles Jeremy. How come.

The man was shocked and almost jumped from his comfortable chair, "ah, yes," he muttered, then immediately gave his autograph.

The company manager then smiled kindly at Jeremy and left the room. Meanwhile, Jeremy looked back at the phone screen. There was still Joana crying beside the phone.

Shortly after that, Joana returned to her room and threw herself on the bed. Back crying. It seems that she really misses her parents.

Joana is a typical girl who is gentle and close to the family. Unlike her sister, who is energetic, cheerful, and good at getting along. Joana is more introverted; she prefers to cry alone in her room rather than tell other people her problems.

Joana doesn't have many friends because she's so closed off. Instead of being called beautiful like her sister, she is more accurately called an intelligent girl. For some reason, he was pretty satisfied with the position as finance staff when she might have gotten a better job.

For Jeremy, maybe Joana really likes a simple, straight life. Judging from her nature, it seems she just wants her life to be expected, with no ambition like her sister, who always wants to do something extraordinary.

Meanwhile, Joana is now burying her head in a comfortable goose-down pillow. Her memories flashed back to when Jeremy came to her house to pick up Teresa.

At that time, Joana had just finished doing her schoolwork. Shortly after that, Teresa entered the room and immediately smiled in front of the mirror while wearing perfunctory makeup.

Teresa flipped through the closet and pulled out a bunch of clothes. She put them on one by one, then took them off again, looking confused.

"What are you doing?" asked Joan.

Teresa turned her head and then smiled sheepishly, "Guess what."

Joana raised an eyebrow and then guessed, "You want to go? A date?"

Teresa blushed even more, and her face was as red as a boiled crab. Joana gaped in disbelief that her sister was going on a date. "Is he going to pick you up? Here?" she asked excitedly.

Teresa nodded her head and blushed again. Joana almost screamed. All this time, she knew Teresa had always hidden her boyfriend because she was young and didn't want to risk getting scolded by Ruby and Raymond.

Understandably, both Ruby and Raymond love their two daughters very much. Parents don't want their children to choose the wrong path.

Joana jumped up and came closer to Teresa, "who is he? how dare you bring him here?" he asked.

Teresa, who had finished with her makeup and clothes, then turned to Joana, "he will be here soon. You must be surprised when you meet him," she answered, then looked back at the big mirror in front of her, "how do I look?" she asked.

Joana looked at her sister, who was born like a goddess. She wore a peach color dress with puff sleeves and a rectangular neckline. Her wavy hair was loose, with a small bobby pin tied at the top. Perfunctory makeup and high heels make her legs look even more beautiful.

There was not the slightest blemish in the mirror image. "You're so gorgeous," Joana muttered as she stared in awe at Teresa's reflection in the mirror.

Teresa smiled. Her lips are slightly glistening because of the lipstick, making her look even more charming, like the Goddess Aphrodite who came down to earth.

Suddenly there was the sound of a car stopping in front of the house. Teresa and Joana quickly left the room.

Raymond and Ruby seemed to welcome Jeremy on the terrace. At first, the two people were surprised by the presence of an expensive car that suddenly came, and the owner approached their house.

They do not feel that there are acquaintances of prominent people or that there will be buyers of garden products from the upper classes. Then the two smiled pleasantly when Jeremy said he would pick up Teresa.

"I'm Jeremy. I'm a close friend of your daughter, Teresa. If I'd let her take her for a walk," Jeremy asked Raymond.

Ruby smiled, knowing her eldest child already had a lover in college. She thought that Teresa had never been close to any man. She almost thought she had become sour tofu for suppressing her daughter's development.

They then invited Jeremy to come in, and Ruby called for Teresa. "Teresa, someone's looking for you. His name is Jeremy," Ruby said as soon as she arrived in front of her daughters' room.

Teresa then smiled, knowing Jeremy's arrival. "Why didn't you tell me you had a boyfriend?" teased her mother.

Teresa blushed, "actually, I was going to say it, but I thought mom and dad would be mad," she replied.

"Why are we angry? You're an adult, and someday there will be a guy you like," Ruby said, "by the way, is he a rich man? His car is great. We even only have a used car?" he asked.

"He's Jeremy, the heir to a big company in this country, but his parents are gone, and now he lives with his uncle," said Teresa.

Ruby felt sorry for a moment because it turned out that her daughter's lover was an orphan, "yes, okay, if that's the case, meet him quickly. You too are already dressed like this," she ordered.

Teresa blushed again, didn't answer anything, and immediately met Jeremy with Joana. But Joana stopped in the middle of the road and chose to peek from behind a room divider. That's Joana's nature. She doesn't dare to meet new people.

Joana was fixated on her almost perfect face when she first saw Jeremy. Had she just caught a prince from a fairy tale with strict facial features, a sharp nose, and bewitching eyes?

Joana almost fell for Jeremy if she didn't remember that he was her sister's lover. She also saw that Jeremy seemed to quickly get to know her father, and then Ruby came with a drink and mingled with him.

Jeremy didn't seem uncomfortable sitting in her wooden chair, which was definitely not as comfortable as the sofa at home. He's a good man. Teresa is fortunate to have a boyfriend like him. Even though he comes from affluent circles, Jeremy doesn't think of a small person like Teresa as a stain on her clothes.
