Chapter 16

Chapter 16,

Journey

Koshiro's POV

*Outside the Guild*

"So, where are we going now?" I asked not knowing our next move.

"Before that, I realized something." Everyone fall silent.

"What?" Goro asked confused.

"Koshiro's one of the most needed right now, not me." Everyone including me became more confused.

"Hmm? And why is that?" Gin asked next.

"You see, we only gained consciousness when we are seen by Koshiro, except for me," Hiruki replied baffled with the maze he made himself.

"Now that you put it, it seems that way." Goro started to understand Hiruki's words.

"But wait." Everyone stopped, "Except for you?" I added another question.

"I was conscious when I first came here. It was the time Koshiro did. I first woke up at my home and the other day, I left bot knowing the reason myself and there is when I encountered Koshiro in the academy," Hiruki explained what happened.

"But you said that time that you only remembered starting at the academy," Gin stated his second sentence.

"That's. . . A lie." Everyone was expecting a reasoning that will make us more baffled but it came out to be a lie.

"If that's likely to be true, then we have to trust it. We gain nothing from not and believing, too," Goro sighed.

"Before we set off to our journey, we have to get permission from the King," Goro gave another sigh.

"What are we waiting for? Set the sails!" Gin excitedly said sticking to his natural character that he's known of.

Before coming to the castle, a long tour is needed. At first, we walk past through a small neighborhood that's filled with poor but happy people. They seemed happy with their current life and not wanting too much. Then, we walked passed though another neighborhood filled with shoemakers. There were also a place categorized; tailors, Musicians, painters, farmers, pottery and much more are in separate places. The final tour is at the Great Green Garden of Illusions, a well-known place at the game. The place creates illusion whenever there's an occasion or some special gathering. The place overflows with magical powers so anyone who came there with their magical powers almost zero, it automatically charges back rapidly and with those overflowing magical powers, a sorcerer there used a special magic and it made different kind of illusions. The sorcerer made a lot of apprentice knights and those apprentices are the ones who creates the illusions in the forest for they are trained to become Magic Manipulator. And that's how the Great Green Garden of Illusions was called by its name.

Note: Magic Manipulator are strong people for they can manipulate the magical powers that dwells everywhere. Quantity of magical powers differs every places. A Magic Manipulators can't manipulate magical powers that's within someone who posses it.

Reaching the castle, we were amazed by its size and the way it looked. The wall looks very old but sturdy and seemed like it's made out of cobblestones, but not, maybe.

Making our way, Knights bowed down as Goro walks at the front looking cool. The castle is huge as expected, so we took another long walk as if we're walking at a maze. There are different rooms we brushed pass through as we walk in this endless-looking path until we reached a dead end with a big door with a twin dragon engraved in it.

"The King's behind the door, don't talk unnecessarily or you'll lose before you know it," Goro warns us and we replied with a nod.

As he open the door, many people who looked like vassals and some Knights who looked very strong were aligned from our from below the King who has her wife beside her and another girl who seemed the princess, Goro's sister.

"Father, I would like to ask something from you," Goro said after kneeling and us following him to his father. Only Hiruki, at the back didn't bowed and no one noticed and I know of that reason for not bowing.

"And what might that be?" The king said filled with elegance and gracefulness.

"A journey. Me and this three others will be off to a journey," he answered the question gazing his eyes to us without tilting his head an inch.

"I see. Are their skills that praiseworthy enough to travel with you?" His question made Goro's eyes looked sharp but cautious.

"This might be exaggerating, but these ones in my back are far more greater than me." Goro tried to fight back.

"It's indeed, too much of an exaggeration. And what can these unknown mans of origins do? I want the answers from themselves, " Goro clicked his tongue low enough for everyone to hear.

Gin spoke, "My name is Gin, a sorcerer from the Sorcerers' Land, " he said proudly.

"Oh, the rumoured Great Sorcerer. Sorry for the rudeness," the King apologizes.

"It's nothing," Gin smiled casually.

"My name is Hiruki. I'm very sorry for the rudeness, but we from the Neutral Land can't bow before others. It's a rule," Hiruki spoke.

"From the Neutral Land? So you're a halfblood?" The King asked while his hand on his beard like an old man.

After a while, he added looking at me, "and you?" his brows raised.

"Pardon. I'm from the Land of Archers," I said making his brows furrow.

He glared at me, "You should be carrying your bow everywhere you go. I cannot believe something like that."

"Father, don't be rude to him," Goro defended.

"He dares to lie to the King, don't blame me for it. I want him out of your party now," the king said furiously.

"Father, he's the leader of our party, please don't underestimate him," Goro fought back, also furious.

"And what's so special about this guy that you let him lead such strong allies?" The King kept on blabbering making me angry.

"I'll be arguing with that," Hiruki came forward, "as far as I can remember, most King of Knights are weak to a spirit's power, am I wrong?" Hiruki made everyone surprised. This is nothing from the game developer's family.

"Are you threatening me?" The King looked more furious.

"I'm not, sir. What I'm saying is he is powerful enough to defeat you with his legendary spirit. No, even by just the incomplete form of the Crimson Gale or with the power of his White Tiger" the King fell shocked.

"What nonsense are you stating before me? Does that mean…!" He again, said making everyone in the room shocked.

"So it's true that this guy is an elf? How about his ears?" The Princess tries to defend with the King.

"I'm no elf. I'm just a mere Knight from the Land of Archers making me a spirit user ad the one to wield the Crimson Gale," I stood up.

"One thing to remind, he was the one who weakened Quantom making me able to defeat him with low-level magical spells," Gin also added.

"Is that true?" The King directed his gaze to Goro who's still kneeling.

Goro also stood up, "No lies, Father." His eyes was filled with determination saying that he will never accept leaving Koshiro here.

"Well then, I can only do nothing but agree to that," the King laughed hard not minding any manners.

I faintly chucked that's able to be heard by everyone, "I want to remind you guys that Koshiro need to be taken care of." after what I said, I realized I was somewhere.

The place was filled with different hues and it's pretty as an art. Well, it is an art itself.

"Take care of yourself," I looked at behind and saw a guy in red hair there. I know for sure, he's the user of Crimson Gale itself.

"Is there something you need?" I smiled filled with generosity.

"No, nothing in particular," he shrugged, "Remember: you should take good care of yourself if you want to take care of others well," he smiled then floated towards me making our forehead slowly collide and returning me to reality.

"I held onto my head as it hurts, "What happened?" I asked the others as they fall silent not answering my question.

"Well then, you should be going by now, take care, brother," Goro's sister broke the silence while plastering a smile in her face waving goodbye.

"Take good care of yourself," his parents added.

"Hiruki, did he said something?" I asked shocking the three.

"No, nothing much," the way he says it. It's a lie. His gaze is not directed to my eye, not like as always. I know he said something to offend or scare them.

"Don't feel gloomy, let's get going!" Gin brightens up the atmosphere.

I nodded, "lets go prepare for departure,"

*Gate of the Land of Knights*

After being teleported here, we don't have to worry since land of Knights are near another land, the Land of Witches. Just a few walking and we'll reach there sooner or later.

"Well then, let's go!" I shout giving my hand up in the sky and the do the same. I wish this journey would be surprisingly good and enjoyable.
