Chapter 22

Chapter 22,

Training

Koshiro's POV

"I'm back," Riven called out and a woman came out of the house.

The girl was young in her age. She has an angelic smile and eyes coupled with he graceful movement making her look like a noble. Her eyes were different from Riven's eyes. Her eye color is greyish and calm.

"Who is she?" I asked.

"Huh?! Dare to fall for my sister or I'll kill you, brat?!" He grabbed me by the collar and lifted me up as he was annoyed by my words.

"Brother!" The girl called out.

Brother? They don't look alike. This one's a devil, that girl is an angel. An devastating devil that seeks strong people to fight.

I looked at him disgustedly, "What?! You 'wanna fight?!" I replied back a smile.

"You jerk!" He fumed as he was insulted by my smile.

"Well, why not go inside first?" Riven's sister insisted.

"What the hell happened to you?!" Hiruki shouted as we entered the room. They were at the living room near the kitchen. They're house is pretty small and ordinary, after all.

"Hiruki is it okay for you to curse?" I awkwardly asked.

"Well. . ." he paused, "I'm me, after all," he was flustered.

"I guess that's fine. I like that part of you, anyways," I sat beside Hiruki who's red on the small couch. The seats are occupied, anyway.

"Is that from your training?" Goro asked worriedly.

"It's fine, he's not a kid anymore," Gin insisted.

"Huh?! That how you worry for him? Aren't you best friends," His words annoyed Gin.

"We're friends, that's why I'm telling you this! I know him more that any of you does!" He fumed out leaving everyone including me dumbfounded.

Indeed, I went to the same middle school with Gin since first year, so we know each other so much until now in high school. We're more close than it seemed.

"You guys are noisy. If you want a fight, challenge me outside! Just say it!" Riven shouted at us, "Anyway, heal him," he looked at Hiruki.

"I'm just no healer, you know. I'm also great at combat and support than you think," Hiruki fought back while he heals me.

"Healer is part of the Support. A group should have a position to be more strong invincible," Riven's words annoyed Hiruki and I feel it.

"Everyone, food is ready," Riven's sister called out from the Kitchen after preparing the food in the table.

"Maybe we should've bought an octagon-shaped table, so that there are more space," Riven's sister said.

"Don't complain, Lira, you chose it yourself," Riven sighed.

"I'm not complaining, I'm regretting my decision, don't interfere," His brother froze by her reasoning.

"Let's just eat, I'm hungry," Riven insisted, "Eat a lot, Koshiro. We'll have your first training tomorrow," he added.

"Didn't he had one already?" Goro asked in a little angry tone.

"No. We just had a little battle to determine his power," Riven shrugged.

"A whole day?!" Lira asked.

"This kid is strong, to be true. I would lose if I didn't use eighty percent of my power, you know. As expected from the strongest in your team," The three of us looked at Hiruki and laughed.

"What?" He asked and we just replied by shaking our head 'nothing'.

"Anyway, sleep early for today and the other days. Sleep is as important as food. Don't dare lack sleep!" He warns me sending shivers through my skin. This guy might kill me if I disobey.

As I lie on my bed, I just stare at the ceiling that has nothing at it. The house lacks rooms, so we have to share rooms. Goro and Gin didn't want to sleep together and Hiruki is scared to sleep alone, so I'll sleep with him and Goro and Gin is two different rooms. Goro and Gin didn't want to sleep with Hiruki saying that he might emit dark miasma in his sleep. Such nonsense to talk about.

Hiruki stood up, "You can't sleep?" I asked him.

He nodded, "Will I emit dark miasma in my sleep? I'm kinda worried about it," he gave a sad face.

I laughed at him, "What's that? Obviously not! Those are just some things they made up to scare themselves. Don't worry, I trust you," I smiled at him.

"Let's sleep," he insisted, giving me a hug.

"W-Wait…! What are you doing?" I asked by his sudden action.

"It's cold. You might feel cold,", he smiled.

"I'm not cold, though," I tried to avoid.

"But I am," He smiled charmingly at me, "Don't you want to?" He never wiped off his smile.

"Well then. . ." he hugged my face to his chest.

I guess it doesn't matter since we're both guys, right?. . .No! This is definitely weird. Somebody help!!! How could I realize it now?! This seemed awkward! I'll just endure this until tomorrow and never insist for a hug anymore. I feel like I wouldn't want a hug for long.

"Ko-shi-ro. I feel like I won't be able to sleep this night because of this. What is the meaning of this?!" Goro scolded me waking me up and Hiruki.

"Why so early in the morning?" I asked as I was still half-asleep.

"That should be my line! What the hell are you two doing?" He was red from anger.

"What happened?" I asked Him beside him.

"You know, when Goro went to check on you saying that he was worried, he saw Hiruki hugging you, so he got angry. I bet Riven will be angr—" He paused when a loud voice banged the place.

"What's the noise about?! Are you planning to do this every morning?! You damn brats!" Riven shouted from his room. It was loud.

Lira entered the room, "Koshiro, come with me to prepare some things. We're starting early in your training," she waved at me, asking me to come.

After we ate, Riven just said that we will be leaving so that we could start early and end early and even brought Lira with us. He said she will reach me something since she is training how to teach, too, like her brother. She said she wanted to be a master.

"So what now?" I asked as we reached the place.

"Oh, this place is still used by him?" Lira asked.

"Him?" I also asked.

"The guy told you about," He asked as he summoned forth earth magic to slowly cover the craters that was present there from before that now his multiplied more than twice.

After finishing, Riven said, "I'll only be teaching you how to use a sword. As an Archer, you should master an arrow, but you need to know how to use a dagger, at least."

"Take this," he threw a sword at me.

"It will take color of what your heart is colored. Colors varies from red, yellow, blue and the secondary, green, violet and orange. Among the six colors, you can inherit two of them. One primary and one secondary, easy as that," He explained.

I tried drawing the sword and the color became blue. Second to it was it changing its own color into green.

"Is that it?" I asked for something further.

"No. Blue is your primary color, so it means you can use either violet or green. Since you have green, you can only use the two. You an activate violet, but it can only be used sometimes," He gave ab even further explanation.

"Green an blue swords are nothing special, though," I said with no excitement, but only disappointment.

"Don't be disappointed, green is great at defence and support while blue are great at defence and offensive, though not as strong as red, it still has something special. Besides, the sharpness of a sword depends on the wielder," Lira tried to cheer me up.

"I appreciate it, but I'm an Archer, I'm not great at swords," I said as the wound is still deep.

"That reminds me, you will be training with an enemy that will kill you for sure, so so your best. I even took them since they are planning to kill me last night. I'll be giving you tips and lessons whole you fight," he snapped his finger making two guys appear from nowhere.

"Darn you! Why did you capture us?!" The guy said.

There are two of them. The other was quiet and scary while the other was also scary in a different way and always cursing whenever he talks. I don't know, but I feel something similar to them.

"Oh, if it isn't Koshiro?" The other guy said.

"Who is this damn brat, Darren?" The other asked.

"Shiru, it's him," he took out a drawn picture of me with a small sign in the bottom right if the paper.

"Oh, The damn strong kid that Master Fiosh and Derio nentioned?" Shiru asked while grinned.

Fiosh? Derio? Those two?! Who are these guys? Master? That means. . .

"Hey," I called out to them, "What is your relationship with that two?" I asked in a scary tone.

"Haha! How scary, you damn brat! I wanna run away! Hahahaha! What if I say, we're his apprentices that are tasked to kill you after we kill that guy?" He pointed at Riven who's near me.

"Kill? Who? I dare you repeat what's you said! Bring those damned two here!" I shout at anger.

"How dare you curse our master! But don't worry, you'll just pay for it. You'll be dying, anyways, you damn brat," he laughs once more.

This time, I'll will not let them kill off Riven on my watch. I won't let that thing happen again. Never once again!
