CH 42: End of Jacopo and the Pazzi

(nobody's POV)

After the two lovebirds snuck inside and hid themselves so the guards wouldn't notice them, they began to eavesdrop on the conversation between Jacopo and Rodrigo Borgia.

Jacopo :"I am sorry, Maestro (Master)! I did all I could, but the Assassins proved too strong."

Rodrigo :"Clearly. Else the others would be here with you. To say nothing of that fact that Firenze remains in Medici hands..."

Jacopo :"It's Francesco's fault! His impatience made him reckless! I tried to be the voice of reason..."

Emilio :"More like the voice of cowardice."

Jacopo :"You're one to talk, Signor Barbarigo. Had you sent us quality weapons instead of this garbage you Venetians call ar–"

Rodrigo :"Enough! We put our faith in your family and you repay us with inaction and incompetence?! Then when asked to account for your failures, you make excuses and insult us?! How do you expect me to respond?"

Jacopo :"I don't know..."

Rodrigo :"It's alright. I do."

That was all Rodrigo said before he put his hand on Jacopo's shoulder, and then, drew a dagger from behind him before stabbing the old man.

Jacopo covered his wound with his hand as he looked at them with shock :"No... please... don't..."

Causing Emilio chuckle while he stood beside Rodrigo :"Please don't what?" Before he pushed Jacopo, causing him to fall to the ground with a bleeding wound.

But the coward was too persistent to die, so he got on his knees while holding his wound as he crawled to Rodrigo :"I can... fix this. Only... spare me..."

"No." But in the face of his pleading, Rodrigo gave a short, cold answer before he he drew his sword and pierced Jacopo's neck, finally putting an end to the old coward.

Seeing the scene, Ali's lips twitched in annoyance :'gahba, man istiyirdim o guamuazi olduram (Turkish: whore, I wanted to kill that fool).'

"What a mess..." Rodrigo whispered as he looked at the bloody tip of his blade before he sheathed his sword :"So sorry to have claimed your prize, Assassins!"

Noticing that they've been found, Ali and Ezio looked at each other before four guards came and two grabbed each of them.

But even though both of them could escape from their grasps oh so easily, they still let them lead them while Rodrigo started his monologue like any final boss :"Did you honestly think I wouldn't expect you to follow? That I didn't PLAN for it? We've been at this a lot longer than you."

But to his surprise, neither of the two showed any signs of fear. Heck, Ali straight out chuckled at him :"well, first, about stealing our prize.

I'll forgive you, dal momento che ho intenzione di prenderne molto di più in futuro (since I'm planning to take a lot more in the future).

Second, nah, after all, the goons and minions being fools doesn't mean that the boss will be a fool as well.

Third, if you honestly hadn't gotten to planning and making countermeasures against us, I would be kinda offended.

And fourth, it's not always about time, bud. Dopotutto, il talento parla molto in queste cose (After all, talent speaks a lot in these things), and we, are the purest of talents you can find."

Ali wasn't lying. Rodrigo truly was a smart person. As for the reason why? Well, he is a final boss that didn't decide to look for revenge after getting defeated.

In Assassin's Creed 2, Ezio decided to spare Rodrigo. But that kinda annoyed Ali at first, because he expected him to come back for revenge like any other villain.

But once he played Assassin's Creed Brotherhood and saw that Rodrigo wasn't the one who came for revenge, he was a lot more satisfied than seeing him dead.

In fact, when he saw that Cesare Borgia killed him, he felt a little bit sorry for the old guy. After all, he didn't even have anything against him, he just wanted power, and that was reasonable.

He just didn't like his means. In fact, he liked his well written character. He was truly befitting of a last boss.

But like any boss that comes to your side, he got nerfed in Brotherhood. Even though the man wasn't giving Ezio the hands in AC 2, he was still putting up a great fight.

But once it was revealed that he tried to convince Cesare to not go after Ezio, he was killed with a fucking apple shoved into his mouth.

And that's why the villains and bad guys don't turn to the good side. They know that they will be nerfed so bad that they will be killed the first chance the creators get. Anyway, back to the story.

Rodrigo, with his face still covered, raised an eyebrow :"Non mi aspettavo che uno dei due micidiali Assassini fosse così loquace (I didn't expect that one of the two deadly Assassins would be so talkative)."

But Ali chuckled once again while not even struggling before he looked at Rodrigo with his demonic, signature smile :"sciocco, è perché nessuno di loro vive per raccontare la storia (fool, that's because none of them live to tell the tale)."

Seeing the demonic smile on his face, they were honestly About to believe that he's an actual demon from hell.

Hell, the guards that were holding him started to tremble once they saw it. But just a scary smile wasn't enough to scare Rodrigo :"hmph, kill them."

And once he said that, he started to walk away along with Emilio. Ezio struggled against their holds as she tried to get them off of her without killing them :"I know you're only doing as you're told, so if you release me, I will spare your lives."

Guard :"Ha! Listen to this– Ahhhh!" Ezio extended hers Hidden Blade, and quickly thrusted her wrist outwards to stab the first guard through the throat, before stabbing the other guard restraining her in the chest.

The moment Ali saw his lover take action, he also began. The guards weren't anything in front of Ali's strength.

He had just let them hold him so that he could have a personal monologue with the final boss.

So once he saw that there wasn't any more use for these dumbass goons, he pushed his hands up and grabbed their necks before raising them off the ground.

While the two guards struggled against the beast like Assassin that had just pulled the uno reverse card on them, Ali snorted with his signature smirk on his face before he squeezed and broke their necks.

Not wanting them to get in his way while he killed the others, Ali threw the dead bodies aside before cracking his knuckles and taking a stance :"Allan, daha chim instiyire ola (Turkish: now, who else wants to die)."

Needles to say, the two didn't have any problems while killing the goons left and right. And after killing them all, even though he was already dead, Ezio still have her speech to Jacopo's dead body :"Vai, amico, libero da fardelli e paure (Go forward friend, unburdened and unafraid). Requiescat in pace (Rest in peace)."

After closing his eyes, Ezio got up before she stretched a bit :"alright, with this, all the Pazzi conspirators are dead. We should go and meet signore Lorenzo to deliver the good news."

Ali nodded while wiping off the blood on his daggers off with a red handkerchief :"haya, biz chokh wagt chahdikh ta but gahbani oldurakh (Turkish: yeah, we took a long time to kill this whore)."

"Onda jalah Lorenzonu chokhtar sakhlamiakh (Turkish: then we shouldn't keep Lorenzo waiting any longer)." Ezio said with a smirk.

Hearing his lover talking his mother language, Ali smiled with interest as he put the red handkerchief back into his waist bag and sheathed his daggers :"oh?

You have gotten a lot better in Turkish, huh, Ashkim (my love)? Guess we spending all that time of teaching you Turkish when we didn't have anything else to do paid off."

Ezio chuckled playfully before she walked to him and hugged him, pushing her to die for breasts against his broad chest :"well, what can I say?

I have such a good teacher. Such a handsome, sexy, strong teacher who teaches me all kinds of things."

Ali bit his lip while smiling as he circled his strong arms around Ezio's waist :"happy to hear that.

And I have to admit, you speaking Turkish is a really huge fucking turn on. I guess we have to spend more time on our classes then."

Ezio chuckled before she got on tip toes and gave a peck to Ali's lips :"happy to hear that I have such an influence on you. It's also a good cover for our conversations when we don't want others to know what we're talking about. But we should go now."

That was few days ago. And now, they had returned to Florence to inform Lorenzo of their success.

Ezio :"The Pazzi are dead. Every one of them."

Lorenzo :"I must admit, I've never before believed I could desire the death of others so badly."

Ezio :"Nor I..."

Lorenzo :"Ezio, Ali, thank you for the role you've played in keeping this dream of mine alive a little longer."

Ezio/Ali :"L'onore è mio (It is my honor)."

Lorenzo :"What will you do now?"

Ezio :"There are still others I must hunt, Signore. They're already digging their claws into the heart of Venezia."

Lorenzo :"No! La bella Venezia... (Beautiful Venice...) Then that is where your journey must take you, Ezio, Ali. Before you leave us... I have something for you. A gift."

With a hand gesture as a sign, a servant walked forward with two capes in his hand :"These capes identifies you as friends of the Medici.

As long as you wear it, the city guards will be more tolerant of your actions. But be warned, it will not grant you immunity from the law."

Ezio picked up the capes before handing one to Ali. Honestly, Ali felt a little bit weird about wearing a cape with a pizza on it.

But to not seem rude and disrespectful, he wore it anyway before Lorenzo smiled :"Che la fortuna favorisca la tua lama (May fortune favor your blade)."

And with a slight bow, the two exited the Medici house and walked before Ali took off the cape after getting a little bit away from the Medici house.

Ezio raised an eyebrow at him as he took off the cape and put it inside his waist bag :"perché l'hai tolto (why did you take it off)?"

Ali fixed shrugged nonchalantly as they continued on walking :"I'm really not that much into its design. It's ugly."

Ezio looked at her lover with amusement as she chuckled :"what? Just because of that? Doesn't its usefulness make up for its "ugly" design?"

Ali shrugged once again with a snort :"before being useful, it has to be something nice to look at.

I don't really care about its usefulness that much since I don't even worry about the guards. after all, none of em can threaten me."

Ezio rolled her eyes at her bloodthirsty and violent lover before she asked :"so? What should we do now, Ashkim (my love)?"

Ali tilted his head side to side while thinking playfully before bringing his hands up and locking them behind his head :"bene, dovremmo andare a Venezia (well, we should go to Venice).

But before that, how about we go and pay a visit to our dear old friend Leonardo? Dopo tutto, è passato un po' di tempo dall'ultima volta che l'abbiamo visto (It's been quite a while since we have seen him after all)."

Seeing that there isn't any reason to not pay a visit to their friend, Ezio shrugged with a smile :"va bene, facciamolo allora (alright, let's do that then), Ashkim (my love). Hahaha, I wonder how he's been doing."
