Chapter 8

"Then we're going to Japan", Raphael shook his head in positive while Uriel who just finished eating her meal drank a glass of water and turned on the TV and sat on the couch feeling satisfied and relaxed. He turned his head to her direction and said " she's becoming lazier by the minute, I think it's time I put her to good use", He smiled without showing his teeth and Raphael knew what it meant instantly, He started feeling sorry for Uriel who never had any rest until a year ago, he decided confront Clyde to leave her for a while "Don't you think she deserve some rest, besides she haven't had a good rest since forever and I'm sure you know what I'm talking about and she seems happy" he said while turning his head towards Uriel direction with a smile on his face. Raphael always knew that Clyde has a really boring personality and he didn't seem to care about anyone or anything except you have a strong reason for it.

Clyde stared at her, he had no intentions of changing his mind till he decided to give in for the sake of her hard work, he sighed in defeat and stood up to go out. As soon as he left the house, Raphael face darkened and he frowned, Uriel stood up from her position with a changed countenance and her expression was plain and poker faced, "How long do we have?" Raphael asked, She turned towards him and said "Not more than a year" he looked at her and said "Did you see her?" then she said "Yes, she's heading to Japan" then a smirk appeared on her face. Clyde walked for a while and closed his eyes as he inhaled the cool evening breeze that hit on his face as a strand of his hair fell on his face, he sat there for hours as a man in his late sixties sat beside him and said "It's peaceful isn't it?", Clyde then replied " Yes, it is". The old man looked at his face and he was stunned and smiled looking at him and said "You're too good looking". Clyde didn't actually fancy compliments but he wasn't disrespectful either, so he replied politely with a smile " thank you". The man then asked "what's your name young man", Clyde looked at him and stood up with a smirk on his face " Clyde" he said and walked out, "Clyde.." the old man mumbled.

When Clyde opened the door he saw Uriel sleeping on the couch and Raphael sketching some things on a paper. He didn't stop what he was doing, Clyde carried Uriel in his arms and took her to her room, he came out after tucking her to bed and when he came out Raphael was gone, he looked at the empty space and went to his room to sleep.

The next morning, Uriel was all set and happy for the trip to Japan despite knowing that it was for something more important....
