Cheers!

A new day had begun, standing in front of the library door carrying a tray of food was Davis, however, based on past experiences he decided to enter directly rather than knocking.

Opening the library door, unexpectedly what came to sight was not Elric sleeping while buried under a pile of books, but rather him sitting neatly at his desk fully concentrating on the book at hand.

At this time, Elric had already seen the door opening, and without putting in too much effort, he had already guessed who it was.

"Come in Davis"

hearing his young master call, Davis fully entered the room without any hesitation.

Dropping his breakfast in front of him, Davis who had initially planned to leave immediately after dropping his food was unexpectedly stopped by Elric

"Wait!"

motioning for Davis to have a seat, and Elric to speak.

"I've decided that from now on, the four of us, that's me, you, George, and Alvin would go and hunt magic beasts for their materials every day from now on," Said, Elric

Thinking of the gains from just observing a slime core, Elric couldn't help but imagine what would happen if he studied every magic beast on Elias. Think of this, Elric's mouth started to drool.

"No, I don't agree! what if you get hurt"

As soon as Davis heard he'd be putting himself in danger, He couldn't help but shout against it. little did he know that his roar had interrupted Elric from his beast-catching fantasies

coming back to reality, Elric quickly wiped off the drool from the corner of his mouth, thankfully Davis didn't notice it.

Just when Elric was about to persuade him, Davis spoke again obviously not wanting Elric to put himself in danger.

"Don't worry young master you can leave the hunting to us, after all, didn't we go hunting successfully with Kevin last time?"

"I'm sure if he decides to help us, we'd be able to hunt successfully"

"And don't forget I and Alvin know magic now, we shouldn't be as weak as before plus remember I was known as the strongest back in the village!"

Flexing his muscle Davis went on and on about how it would be better for him to stay at home and leave the hunting to them, too bad Elric wasn't going to give up so easily.

"Davis, I just have two questions to ask you"

Said Elric, once he noticed Davis had finished speaking.

"Firstly, Kevin is one of the knights of freedom, he has no obligation to help us. last time was purely because it was a favour from Reinhardt and In case you haven't noticed, most of the towns folk here seemed to love Reinhardt"

"And secondly, what do you think would happen if Kevin saw you using magic, and word got out in town?"

Hearing the two questions from Elric, Davis kept silent and obviously agreed with him.

"And as for the danger, don't worry don't you three have my back"

Noticing Davis' low mood, Elric couldn't help but give a word of comfort.

"Don't worry young master you can leave your back to me!"

and just like Elric thought, hearing he was in charge of protecting his safety, Davis rushed to agree.

seeing his change of mood, Elric decided to hit the nail on the head bringing out a map from behind him.

"Although you might still have a lot of worries, but don't worry I've already planned everything out"

saying this, Elric spread out the map on the table.

"According to this map and based on our current location and abilities, there are three places suitable for us to catch magic beasts and hunt them. that would be here, here, and here" said Elric as he pointed to the spots on the map which he'd previously circled out

"The first place we'll be looking at is called the valley of thunder bunnies, located deep within this valley are bunny-like creatures with huge wings and fangs capable of flying at low altitude by manipulating the wind and releasing small amounts of lighting against their prey"

"The second place we'll be looking at tho a bit far is called water slime heaven, according to this map it shows that this place is suspected of being a water slime breeding ground"

"And lastly, the last stop on our journey is here!"

"The bat cave!"

pointing to a large circled cave-like drawing on the map.

"The bat cave, although a few reports are known on it, however, based on the map and books in the library it's said to be home of a blood controlling beasts"

"These magic beasts are capable of flying, manipulating blood, and releasing loud sounds causing their targets to go deaf, however, they are not unbeatable, according to records they are weak individually and are only active at night"

Hearing Elric says all this, Davis knew that there was no persuading him. After a light sigh, he finally agreed to Elric's plan.

....

Soon breakfast was over, and once again Davis, George, Alvin, and Elric could be seen talking in the library However this time each of them had a glass of wine in their hands

"It's no wonder Kevin requested some wine earlier, the wine in this town is great!" Said Davis as he took a large gulp from his glass.

hearing him say so everyone else couldn't help but nod in agreement obviously satisfied with the taste of the wine.

seeing that everyone had already become comfortable, Elric took the opportunity to brief them on what he'd spoken with Davis earlier this morning

Fortunately, After the initial disagreement from Alvin and George under Davis and Elric's persuasion, they both agreed.

"The three of you, there's something I've been meaning to tell you" saying this, Elric looked at the three of them solemnly.

"Ever since we entered freedom town, I've been getting a bad feeling, like something's big going to happen"

hearing Elric say this, the three of them had a confused look on their face. Fortunately, they didn't interrupt him but rather waited for him to continue.

seeing them like this, Elric couldn't help but nod slightly

"Because of this, I've decided to shift our hunting trip from later tomorrow to this night, and while we're at it go back and pack your things, we won't be coming back till we're done with everything which might be days from now"

"I know you might have a lot of questions to ask, but just trust me on this, and try to pack up as covertly as possible"

Although they felt he was overreacting, they still chose to believe him and agreed to leave that night.

seeing them agreeing so easily, Elric had a look of relief on his face. just as he was about to wave his hand to dismiss them, he looked at his glass of wine and suddenly got an idea

*ding-ding-ding*

clanking a spoon against his glass, he stood up from his chair with a slightly red face.

*Ahem!*

clearing his throat he turned to face the three of them

"Everyone! Although we may be weak right now! Although we may be hiding right now! Although we may have lost our loved ones before! Although we may lose more along the way!" Taking a deep breath, he looked at them with a serious face

"However I as your young master promise you that if you dare to put your trust in me, I won't ever let you down!"

"Now as your young master do you believe in me!?"

asking this question he faced the three of them seriously, however before he could react, the replies from the three resounded throughout the room

"I believe in you young master!"

"Me too!"

"and Me!'

hearing them answer without hesitation, Elric's hearty laughter resounded throughout the room.

"hahaha! very good, I can't wait for the day the four of us become wizards and turn Elias upside down!"

"Cheers to a new beginning!"

"cheers to wizards"

shouted Elric who at this point was slightly drunk from all the wine.

Thankfully the rest of them were also drunk and also began to cheer

"Cheers to magic!"

"Cheers to me!"

"cheers to cheers!"

and with that, the sound of loud drunk cheers and shouts could be heard from time to time outside the mansion's library
