142. Disoriented

Jael opened the door to see Mill standing outside. She had her hand to her chest and worried expression on her face.

"Sire!" She cried as soon as she saw him. Danag stood next to her. "I heard what happened." She looked on the verge of tears.

She must have followed Danag, Jael had not even thought to ask for her. It was a good thing that she was here.

"Mill," he said softly. He didn't have anything else to say to her.

"I am sure she will be fine. Mauve is stronger than she looks."

"Join us for the second meal," he said instead.

"Thank you, Sire but I don't think I have any appetite."

"I see," he said. He should probably thank her for coming but he didn't.

"I brought your clothes," Danag mumbled.

"Drop them in the room." He ordered and started to walk away. 

"Yes, Sire." Danag said with a bow and Mill repeated his action.
