183. Buried Memories

"So, I am guessing you told the Sire?"

"He was harsh," Mauve said while wiping her tears.

She was wondering why Mill wasn't asking her more questions. Mill seemed completely fine even though she had just told her, she doubted their relationship.

Mill wasn't even angry and she had moved on from the topic as soon as she was done consoling her. Mauve didn't know how to handle this.

"That's expected." Mill shrugged and stood up from the bed.

"Expected? He didn't even listen to me. Did you know he was going to say no?" Mauve sounded annoyed, her sadness briefly forgotten.

"I thought of the possibility that he might. What are you going to do about it?" Mill asked with a raised brow.

"I am not giving up!" She said adamantly.

"You know you should just wait until you get better. There is no need to rush, as I said I don't hate it here so you don't have to do anything for me."
