247. The Damn Letter

"She is leaving, the Primus shouldn't be given such inferior goods," Danag said with conviction. "This wasn't part of the agreement and to try to fool us like, we won't condone such."

Erick paused for a minute as if deep in thought after a few seconds he said, "You think he would let her go."

"You don't sound thrilled," Danag said with a frown.

"I do, with this information whatever Sabrina has against me has no weight. However, do you truly think he would let her go?" Erick asked with an intense gaze.

Danag's expression fell at Erick's words; he had expected Erick to be the loudest advocate about this. Having him be the one to shred the one leverage was a little destabilizing.

"He doesn't have a choice. To settle for such after knowing the truth would be insulting, not just to the Primus but to Vampires as a whole. This is the one time he has to do the right thing."
