'THE MIND IS AN ENTITY OF IT'S OWN, NOT JUST ANY ENTITY BUT A REALLY POWERFUL ONE. IT CAN BRING ONE'S IMAGINATIONS TO LIFE TO EITHER HAUNT THEM OR HELP HIM REALIZE IT.'

~AMAZING DESTINY

Thibaut woke up to find himself tied to the weirdest thing he could have imagined, he was tied to a metal chair and bound with the strongest ropes one could find. The DROPE.

Dragons were very rare and important creatures and this was not only due to their power, but also they many uses if their hide.

The DROPE was one of the many uses of the dragon's hide, it was first produced by the magicians. The magicians are believed the be the weakest intelligent live asides the humans, their magic has various constraints and clauses. This has prevented them from being all strong and powerful like the gods or demons right from the onset, but this didn't mean they couldn't put up a decent fight against either parties.

The DROPE was reinforced with magic, making it the strongest in the universe. It could hold powerful creatures even to the stage of supreme gods.

As much as Thibaut wanted to get mad, he smiled when he saw the rope. He closed his eyes and he chanted some unknown words, he glowed slightly and placed his hands on the ropes. The ropes joined his slight glow, making it shine so brightly it attracted Alex and his sister who were busy making themselves at home.

They rushed into the room where they tied Thibaut, they were sure the light came from that room. On getting there, the bright light was gone. They looked towards the chair where they tied Thibaut and he was no longer there, they both stared at the chair in disbelief. Cynthia read about the rope and how powerful it was and even though Alex didn't read it, it was good enough for him since they found it in the 'out of bounds' room.

As they walked further into the room, the lights suddenly went out and the door got shut. Alex and Cynthia were startled by the turn out of events, this wasn't what they had in mind when they tied him up. Cynthia had allowed so much fear into her that she forgot she could light up the room by herself, and she didn't remember until Alex did it himself.

They both illuminated the room with what seemed like balls on their hands, but to their surprise, they didn't find anyone in the room.

So many questions were beginning to form in their minds 'how did Thibaut get out of the chair? How did he get out of the room so fast? Who turned off the lights?' Amongst many others. They moved slowly and carefully in a back to back position as they inspected the room, suddenly a figure zoomed past in a flash forcing them to scatter their formation.

They heard maniacal laughter behind them but before they could turn, they had both hard kicks to their backs forcing them to the ground. The lights came on as they went down.

Alex was the first to react, but as he raised his head, he found Thibaut looming over them with a sword and wearing a mocking smile.

" No matter how much power you both have, always know you lack experience and I can end you anytime. If I were you, I'd not try this again." He concluded his statement with a smirk and left them dazed on the floor.

Thibaut was feeling very good right now, a direct opposite of what the siblings were feeling. Of course everyone loved the feeling of victory. But for him, this wasn't just victory, it was a way of saying " hey kids, I want you both to know that I'm still the boss around here", he was trying to create an aura of superiority around himself and he was doing well so far. He went to the refrigerator and helped himself to a bottle of chilled soft drink.

Meanwhile in the room, Alex and Cynthia were just getting up from the floor after their embarrassing defeat to Thibaut. They never expected him to ambush and easily belittle them, shaded of anger were beginning to show on Alex's face.

He had been beaten on several occasions by Thibaut during training, but that was training. The pain of being beaten in an actual fight was affecting his big ego, he would have confronted him right away had he not witnessed his power and experience few minutes ago. He had to confess he was scared down to his wits but had to play the man and do he kept a calm face throughout.

Cynthia was quiet all the while, she couldn't blame Thibaut for what he did, after all they were the once who tied him in a chair. She felt guilty for not asking questions before carrying out harsh actions on someone that had not only sheltered them but helped them grow and managed their new- found powers.

She lazily walked down to her room, cleaned up and got some nice clothes on. For some reason, she was becoming conscious of her dressing in recent times, something whenever cared about. She brushed her long hair, letting it fall down freely. She admired herself for a while in one hairstyle and changed to another until she had the one she was satisfied with, a ponytail style. She particularly liked that style alot because it had a way of bringing out her inner beauty, or so she thought.

After casting the last look of a thousand at the mirror and making adjustments with every look, she was finally satisfied and went down the stairs slowly to have a chat with Thibaut and apologize to him about she and her brother's actions. She didn't let Alex know about it because he would blankly refuse it, he would prefer to die than to hurt his enormous ego.

She finally got to his door, as she was about to knock, she felt her heart stop for less than a second and her hand abruptly hung in the air. She didn't know why her heart was doing that to her and she didn't like it, she was angry with herself and badly wanted to turn back, and she would have if it wasn't against her principles to just give up on what she had set her mind on that way.

She finally summoned enough courage to knock 'knock knock' but there was no reply " Thibaut" she called out, but there was no response. Cynthia didn't know if he was angry and decided to ghost her or he was actually not in his room. But after giving it a thought, she decided to wait at the door for a while.

After about ten minutes, she decided that Thibaut was not in his room and she headed for the garden. For someone of his person, his liking of the garden was awkward, although the garden wasn't your regular garden. It had a dark outlook from the outside because it mostly had dark coloured flowers in it but once one got in, the feeling he got was that of immense freshness like he was in a garden of roses.

As expected when we got there, she saw him lying face up staring at the skies and probably admiring it. She smiled involuntarily before going in, " Thibaut, I want to talk to you about something" she said as she sat on a large stone which was surprisingly very conducive for sitting. As she sat, she nodded her head in approval.

If you want to apologize about what you and your brother did, then you can go. It's fine I'm not angry with you both, 'of course' Cynthia thought 'after humiliating us, he had gotten do much satisfaction that he forgot he was supposed to be angry.' she squinted her eyes slightly as she thought if it. Thibaut continued "the only thing that actually got me angry was the fact that you didn't ask questions before taking action, I thought you were supposed to be the smart one?" He asked, sarcasm clear in his tone.

Cynthia really wanted to get angry at that statement but she couldn't, because as the saying goes ' a beggar has no choice'. She was here as the beggar and had to play along, "tell me everything that happened" she requested.

" Of course, with pleasure" Thibaut was enjoying every bit of this conversation, he was really going to enjoy seeing Cynthia's sad face when she realizes she and her brother were wrong. Her current facial expression was already satisfying.

" During my spa with Alex, he passed out after a hard hit to his head. So I took him to the lab to treat him, but then I discovered you weren't in the field anymore and you weren't in the major control room and so I decided to check the library..." on hearing that, Cynthia smiled. She loved when people related her to the library. " on getting to the library, I saw you dazed standing with a book in your hand which dropped to the ground almost immediately I came in. It was a group about some sort of demon, you freaked out and fainted" Thibaut heaved a sigh as finished his tale.

Cynthia felt really bad after listening to Thibaut's story, she couldn't help but apologize. She knew if she didn't, she'd live with the guilt for a long time. " Thibaut on behalf of my brother and I, I sincerely apologize for what we did to you. We promise it won't happen again." It was a short one but very convincing.

" It's okay, I already told you I wasn't angry" he replied and gestured her to take her leave.

'The mind is an entity of it's own, not just any entity but a really powerful one. It can bring one's imaginations to life to either haunt the person or help him achieve it.'

This was the plight of Cynthia. As she got to her room, she laid down and recalled Thibaut's story. As she flashed through, she remembered the part of a demon book, she tried so hard to remember her reading the book and she eventually did. But some things are best left unknown.

As soon as she remembered, she immediately felt a chill run down a spine temporarily paralyzing her.
