Just then, Anna came over to see who was at the door. Her face softened the moment she saw the state Marissa was in. Marissa's eyes however caught sight of the ring in her finger. She pulled away from Chris.

"Dad, when did you propose?" She asked looking from one of their faces to the other.

"Just now, " he replied scratching the back of his neck a little.

"I'm so happy for you," Marissa said as she hugged him again. And then hugged Anna.

"Thank you so much," Anna told her. "Are you okay? Do you want to come in?" She added, her voice sympathetic.

"No no," Marissa rubbed her nose. "I was going to ask to stay here for a while since I left Justin but its fine. I would go over to Aaron's first till I figure it out."

"Come on honey, this is your house too. Of course you can stay here as long as you want to" Chris argued.

"Yes," Anna affirmed. "We would be happy to have you stay with us. You are going through alot right now. "
