Chapter 4

"Please be happy with your new life." I said.

She smiled and tears rolled down her cheeks. "Thank you, Sam. I will." I smiled. I backed away and Isaiah immediately approached my sister . She anchored her arm around the young man's arm. I watched them walk into the altar. I felt someone bend over me.

"They look good together, right?" I didn't respond. Yes, I feel jealous towards my sister. But who am I to feel this way? I'm just a one night person. I lost my virginity in one night. But I do not regret that because Kai came into my life. He colored my colorless world.

"Are you planning to be a bride someday?" I heard his another question. I sighed.

  "Everyone wishes." I replied.

"Everyone wishes to be married with the one they love and live a happy living." I smile sadly.

"Why are you sad?" Because I can't be on every bride's shoes. I want to say it loudly but I just choose to keep it for myself.

"I'm happy." I answered. Another lie.

"That's not what your face shows." He said. I'm not sad. I'm just disappointed to myself because I can't give my son a happy family like anybody has.

The father of my son is now marrying my sister in front of me. Can someone tell me how to be happy in this kind of situation? Because honestly? I really don't know what to feel and what to do anymore. I'm hurting for myself but I'm more hurting for my innocent son.

I stayed where I was. As a maid of honor, I need to stay within arm's reach of the bride. She may need something like tissue, body pins and so on. After saying their vows, a boy approached carrying the pillow on which the wedding ring was placed. He immediately stepped closer and accepted the heart -shaped pillow. My sister also handed me her bouquet. And Isaiah took the ring. I chose to look away. I don't want our vision to meet. Seeing him would only take me back to my past, and I don't like it. They face each other. My sister is smiling while Isaiah isn't. His face was blank and no emotion could be seen in his eyes. Shouldn't he be happy today?

"Though we have heard the vows, which have shared by the bride and groom, words, once spoken are carried away on the wind. Therefore, the wedding ring is a visible symbol of the promises that have been made." Isaiah took my sister Resha's right hand. He placed the ring on my sister's finger.

"Resha, receive this ring as a sign of my love and fidelity. This will be a sign that I will love you today, tomorrow, and forever." he said. Like what you're seeing, Sam? Because of your flirtation, you fell for the wrong person. You can't just blame the alcohol for losing your hymen. It's your fault. I thought.

My sister did the same thing. SHe took the ring from the pillow and put it on Isaiah's finger. I took my step back to my place and watched them. Everyone applauded at the same time as their lips met. I forced myself to smile and clapped my hands as I shouted 'congratulations'. The maid of honor and best man were called to sign the marriage contract as witnesses. Bryle and I approached immediately. After signing, they decided to take a picture. I forced myself to smile and nodded my head. We stood on the large church flatform with my parents and Isaiah's Aunts and Uncles. I was surprised upon realization hit me, I didn't see his parents. He get married without his parents. They should be here, right? I mean, they are the groom's parents, they should be here.

"Stop frowning, Sam. We're taking a picture. Smile." Mommy said. I sneezed before smiling at the camera. The camera man counted to one up to three before the camera flashed. I wanted to close my eyes because of the camera flash, but I stopped it. I'm getting used to enjoying the flash of camera because I'm a previous model. During my books signing also abroad, dazzling camera flashes are inevitable and annoying.

  "Sam!" my sister called me.

"Let's take a picture together." she said. I was forced to smile and grabbed my gown to walk. Mommy and Daddy leaned over and supported me to get closer to my sister's place. I saw Isaiah took a step back. I smiled at him before I got closer to my sister. She immediately wrapped her right arms on my waist and I also did the same to her. She smiled towards the camera, and so I did the same. I forced myself to extend the smile to my eyes. I'm good at pretending after all.

"Complete family!" My sister exclaimed. I laughed softly at my sister's hyper. Mommy and Daddy climbed in the flatform with a smile. I scratched my neck so hard and rolled my eyes. I can feel someone staring at me. My eyes landed on Isaiah next to Bryle speaking. I guess they were talking? But why is he staring at me?

"Sam?" My sister called my name, trying to get my attention. I quickly turned at her and there I realized, she were already positioned with our Mommy and Daddy. I held my sister's hand and squeezed it lightly as I look at the camera man. I feel like my sister is wondering what I'm doing but I killed maliciously. The camera man counted again from one up to three . We give our smiles. After the camera flash, I was about to leave the flatform when my sister stopped me by tightening the grip on my hand tightly.

"This will be the last. With maid of honor and the best man. And Isaiah of course." I fake my smiled at my sister. I took a deep breath as I nodded my head. Bryle and Isaiah's attention was called as they were talking to go up here at my sister's place.

Isaiah went to my sister's left side since I'm on her right side. Bryle followed Isaiah and took his place to the right of the groom. My sister let go of my hands as her husband placed his arms on her waist. I bit my lower lip to hide the sadness that is creeping in my eyes. I don't want anyone to read how I feel right in that moment. I'm hurting to see him do like that but I can't do anything.

So, instead of looking at his wrapped hands on my sister's waist, I chose to look at the camera to show my tight smile. I smile. Pretending that I'm happy that I'm where in fact, I'm slowly drying inside. Just the thought of seeing my love, doing some sweet movements on my sister, on his wife is killing me.

"One, two, three." The camera man counted and a flash of light followed.
